Wrong, it's the Back Scratcher (a pairing I affectionately term the Back'n'Back) because not only do you turn health packs into super health packs (sure is nice to get to nearly full HP from just 1 medium pack) but also you do extra damage with it, meaning a random crit oneshots literally any (non-overhealed) class in the game shy of a Heavy - who now has only 50 HP. Even if you don't crit you're still hitting for 80-odd damage, which is a petty hefty chunk. The only downside is Mediguns and Dispensers are basically worthless to you, but since you're usually on your own on the flank (i.e behind enemy lines) neither tend to be all that prevalent and if the Medic has a Crossbow it circumvents your healing reduction anyway.

Glad to hear LazyPurple's voice again. Also, great work on the video! I liked the subversion of the end trope by talking about said trope and then redoing the trope again but a bit different! You YoinkNTwisted your own bit! A masterclass piece of content
That intro was on-point and clever! As a pyro main the uses Backburner all the time....I agree completely. Between the last Mann’s Guide and this one, I started playing TF2 for the first time. It’s immediately strange how differently I view these videos now. I see a lot more of the nuance of the gameplay. Also great editing, and really good sound design, especially in that intro scene!

It's over Kaz
funny dead rotting meme
First, I can't believe how good the facial expressions are, it doesn't feel like SFM anymore, it's even more pro. Second, the post-credit scene really felt like I was watching a trailer to half life episode 3
15:30 ITS FUCKING BACKTIME
Oh, this is why I've seen so many of these fuckers in the past couple months. Excellent video brother, a lot of love and effort went into everything here. My favorite part about the into is how pyro approaches from the side like in the movie, but is still just as effective because of the damn back hotbox
12:52 I've air blasted a soldier with a rocket and he was so surprised, he thought "What? Since when does Backburner has an air blast?" Had to explain.
Glad to hear LazyPurple's voice again. Also, great work on the video! I liked the subversion of the end trope by talking about said trope and then redoing the trope again but a bit different! You YoinkNTwisted your own bit! A masterclass piece of content
I love how lazy is just perpetually obsessive about honey now, not a character trait I expected but one I very much appreciate.
Salty Phish has a few videos on his channel where he plays Competitive TF2 with Mr. BlazyBlurple
use honey to save money RIGHT NOW or I'LL ASK THE DUOLINGO BIRD REALLY NICELY to PAY YOU A VISIT - lazy purple probably.
That intro was on-point and clever!
As a pyro main the uses Backburner all the time....I agree completely.
I usually combo it with the gas-passer--mainly use that in MvM--and I have a lot of fun with it.
Intro was hillarious, and glad to hear/see LazyPurple again!!
Been years since the last "How It Feels" vid, and still waiting for Medic.
Well, it's an accurate TF2 experience, still waiting for Medic.
The level of editing humor throughout the entire video is grand. The self aware humor mixed in with the modern memes is also top teir. Such deep sillies, much respect.
We've been tricked, we've been -backstabbed- _backburned,_ and we've been quite possibly bamboozled.
And I don't mind one bit.
+10 points for pun
As the man himself once said, "I cannot believe that I have been trolled."
Between the last Mann’s Guide and this one, I started playing TF2 for the first time. It’s immediately strange how differently I view these videos now. I see a lot more of the nuance of the gameplay. Also great editing, and really good sound design, especially in that intro scene!
20:11 the feirnhiet 451 joke cought me off gaurd lol
"I like drinking rainwater, it tastes like wine"
-Clarisse Mclellan
I don't get it can someone explain?
@@unwantedaccount4404 he said he rates the flamethrower weapon out of 451 degrees feirnhiet. Which is a reference to a book feirnhiet 451 about a dystopian civilization were they banned books and had firemen go around buring books with flamethrowers and kerosene
@@namethefifth7315the book was also named after the fact that paper burns at 451 degrees fahrenheit
@@Bendan obviously. It's about burning books and the title is in reference to this
10:14 I absolutely cannot believe that made me laugh as hard as it did, its so stupid but so fucking genius at the same time. Bravo Mr. Smith.
You know what, I've been hyping myself up for even more Assorted Huntsman Funnies but this caught me off guard in the absolute best way. Well played SoundSmith and everyone else who worked on the video, well played.
15:24 For those wondering, Revelations 13 12 is “And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”
On a completely unrelated note, hi ProGamingNerd! You did a great job, mate!
Or in other words: the medic pocketed the heavy and gave him am uber
20:27 i was in the match recently with my friend who asked me to go kritzkrieg (crit machina for funnies) and also there was a 1000+ soldier man with unusualls and golder rocketlauncher, the moment i didnt gave him crits at the start of the round he instantly vote kicked me (even as i was 1 medic in the team), so i know how those soldier-mains feel
love the detail of “puts away his flamethrower, go-go-gadget swaps to her secondary” like tf2 does whenever they talk about pyro, great touch SoundSploink
You know it’s a good guide when it gets into psychological conditioning
absolutely LOVED the studio bit, the animations felt very cartoony in a high-budget way, very reminiscent of pixar with the squash & stretch and stuff
This was definitley worth the wait. I can see how well animated the animations are for the SFM segments and it is a treat
I've heard so many great noises in this video. Pizza Tower music, shouting "SMITE!!"
It's just amazing.
THE MANNS GUIDE IS REEEEEALLLL
Edit: Haha funny comment aside, I absolutely adore this episode and the time it’s taken to be made has clearly shown in just every aspect. The animation, the writing, the editing, the sound it’s just *muah*. Everyone involved did a great job and I know the next one will be just as if not even better
my yyy y
'Can we get much Higher?'
19:40 he found the paradox.
Swipe his memory
12:10 I love that you put a literal Air Bazooka there.
using he and her interchangeably is such a wonderful touch.
That ending bit was a window into a tragic alternate reality where Soundsmith didn't become an ally
No, it's even worse. He started an alpha male podcast.
My god these episodes are getting more and more elaborate. Their quality in production, presentation, and self-awareness is skyrocketing.
This is instantly one of my favorite videos of 2023. Amazing writing, clean animation, revelatory advice. You have outdone yourself, truly amazing work.
