When you replaced these did you have to code the injectors to the ecu? I just had them replaced and it's still blowing black smoke on heavy acceleration and I'm unsure if they coded the injectors or if that's even something that could happen when they aren't coded
Great Chanel by the way, I own a Hyundai i800 here in the UK and am experiencing all the usual issues with the 2.5 crdi engine, no one here knows much about them, it's all vw t4 and t5s here. Hyundai support in the UK is useless, they wouldn't even give me the torque specs I've been after! I've just blown a turbo due to I'm guessing crud in the oil caused by the dreaded injector seals leaking. Have 3 injectors out but number 4 isn't budging, getting a hydraulic puller on it at the weekend, fingers crossed it doesn't snap off.... I'm a pretty confident DIY mechanic but rely on guys like you to fill in the gaps. Your videos are a massive help👍
@@totalcranker mate if i was you. and i know its a pain. But i would get the car started again and have the engine warm before trying to pull that injector out. and remove the windscreen scuttle. [more room]
@@PTPrecisionAutomotive Thanks for the tip. Scuttle panel is already off, hopefully the thing will still run and the crud round the injector softens up! If I can finally get that injector free I can get to fitting the new turbo. Other than cleaning the intercooler all the oil lines, re seating new injector seals, and regular oil changes, is there anything you recommend doing to stop this horror story happening again? Been looking in to additives etc to try and improve lubrication . Gonna be sticking liqui moly 5w30 special tec in it once I've dropped the sump and cleaned out the strainer, I'm tempted to add a bottle of liquid moly ceratec to it. I hear loads of good things about that stuff. Or maybe just stick with decent oil and a quality filter?
Hey all, just thought I'd share my issue with the Hyundai 2012 Diesel Iload. Had a lumpy idle when in gear (sounded like it had a cam), black smoke on take off, vibration on freeway when trying to speed up, shudder on take off. Turned out to be 1 bad injector. 2nd one in from the front. Found by comparing fuel return, the bad one had alot of diesel coming out the return, other were just a couple of drips. Changed and it fixed all the issues above. Just my experience and hope it can help someone with similar issues.
Finally some one with the right tools for the job.....you are SERIOUS!!!

Anyone know if hyundai did a better job building the newer 2.2 td in the Staria?
My van does the same thing, we have replaced the washers but haven’t changed it , needs reseat or may be it is compression rings stuffed?
ok
@@PTPrecisionAutomotive I was trying to say that we did change the copper seals but didn’t reseat it, blow by is still present
@@mishakul83 you need to do a leak back test to the pistons, or you could start by doing a relative compression test with a Pico scope.

Is there a video that shows how you cleaned out the hole?
no sorry mate. Long brush [steel] and drill
Did the puller has done something to remove the injector??
Sorry not sure what your trying to say ?
@PTPrecisionAutomotive it looks the hydraulic puller is not successful enough.
@@eduardodaquiljr9637 Not correct.
How did this van end up after the reseat/reseal job ? Running good now ?
Yes perfect
@@PTPrecisionAutomotive cheers for the reply !
Un placer colega donde puedo conseguir ese puler
