- I bought a used exhaust and it is crazy loud! I finally got the Borla Atak cat back exhaust on my 2017 Ford F150. This exhaust really woke the 5.0 engine up compared to the Magnaflow exhaust I had on.

Spend about 70 bucks and buy 3” to 5” x 12” long tips. You will thank me. My ‘16 had 3” from resonator to muff to tip, $50 for muff delete weld pipe back in. Got tired of the coyote rasp, bought that tip and made it a little deeper and cleaner sounding. I’ll post a couple of vids over on mine if you want to hear. I still need to do a drive by

I liked the magnaflow better. Yes, it drones a little but it is also much cleaner. I got my magnaflow based on the sound of your truck.
The Magnaflow was cool and sounded good. But I was needing a little bit more. Definitely a good exhaust for sure !

I still hate the way a mod motor sounds with a y-pipe. It has a weird sound, and the y-pipe happens to be right under the drivers seat. I got the atak on my gen3 truck as well, im still trying to find the perfect setup and i think its impossible with the factory style y-pipe.
Yeah I took the factory y pipe off and got a aftermarket one.

possibly about the same in my opinion.
Louder everywhere else but W.O.T, about the same at W.O.T. but the borla has a better more refined sound
How long did the cats last? I am hearing 1-2 years.
Never had an issue with them. They were still working good before I took them off.

That’s how Borla comes. I would have liked to come out the sides but didn’t want to do any cuttin on the exhaust and have to possibly insert addition pipes

you got a great deal on the Borla. I paid $1200 and $300 for the install...but I LOVE the sound
