Dr. Dray from the bottom of my heart thank you so much for being YOU! Before I discovered your videos I was using fragrance-laden products and never wearing sunscreen. Hello, Dr Dray! Thank you for your videos and wisdom, as always. I wanted to share a sunscreen-related story I think you would appreciate from the other day. I am naturally very pale, and live in a very hot and sunny climate. Despite being more prone to getting sunburns, I rarely burn due to sunscreen and other skin protection measures. A women in her wise years remarked that I couldn't possibly be from the area due to my skin. I replied, "Actually, I wear sunscreen every day." She lamented how she wished there was more information about skincare and sunscreen when she was younger to avoid skin damage later in life. So, thank you, Dr Dray on educating us on how to take care of our skin!
I wear a wide brimmed hat whenever I'm outdoors. Yesterday I my face got sunburned on one side even though I was wearing my hat. I don't know whether the rays bounced off the light-colored ground or the sun just hit me at an unlucky angle. But I guess I better start wearing a hat AND sunblock.
I had a face & neck lift 5yo & never got the under chin result desired, but due to some anatomical reasons, now I know that some will never achieve that chiselled neck look. I have finally accepted that conclusion. 😂. So 5yrs after my FL I had 4 treatments of RFM done (4.5 mos.ago now) to face & neck hoping to restore a little facial volume (my facial fat transfer 3ya was a fail) & hoping to reduce (just somewhat!) the skin laxity still under my chin. The RFM definitely improved my facial skin (but so has my Omnilux face & neck masks), but it did not improve skin laxity. This new Microneedling core procedure most likely will only give very subtle results so I think only surgery will significantly improve any decent amount of laxity. (Also tried SkinTite….failure too!)
Sounds like if hoping for "just somewhat" said in the beginning, it'd prob would work well. But, if actually hoping for "significantly", said at the end, you're prob right. The results would prob not be enough & feel like another fail.

That pillow that trains you to sleep on your back, looks too high.....Looks like it would encourage the 'back hump' that older people have! I actually made one from the 3" foam pads for mattresses (I used the extra we cut off of a king size cut down to a queen size) ....I removed some layers to make a spot for the back of my head and left the taller layers on each side to gently hold my head.....It works great and I don't wake up with a headache every morning now and my 'starter back hump' has gotten better!
Can you make a video comparing different sunscreen filters and which are the best for protecting against UVA wavelengths? I know not all sunscreens are created equal and I would love to hear which ones work best for anti-aging as thats my main concern. Ideally opt for 50spf for these, although 30spf is 'suitable' for low-exposure use.

Thank you Dr Dray. I value your opinion. I just had my first of 3 Morpheus8 treatments 13 days ago. I’m 63 and in pretty good shape for my age and degree of sun exposure I’ve had throughout my life. I had the Pearl Fractional treatment laser treatments (3) in my mid to late 40’s which was a game changer for my skin, nasal labial folds, smile limes, tightening my jawline and sun damage / expression lines around the eyes. I think it was similar to the treatment you described in this video. I was 100% pleased with the results which lasted a LONG time and I’m still better off now by having had it. I’ll see how I like the results from the Morpheus8 and decide if I want to try the micro-coring technology you have described. I kinda wished I’d tried that instead!
I’m still young but there is something sunscreen and laser won’t help: jowls. My mom and grandma have bad ones and I’m in that path. Maybe I should start with something like in the next years instead of waiting till my forties for a lift.
I called the company about 2 months ago and it was not on the market yet. The Ellacore rep said that there was one office in Florida?? where it was in use. Dallas had clinical trials in 2019. I am not sure what is holding up the release. I've heard price range is $1500. 2500.00 per treatment. Thanks
Dr. Dray, love all your content, and thanks for including the risks for people with darker skin tones. You mentioned here that this procedure is less risky as far as hyperpigmentation is concerned, and I have two questions. When hyperpigmentation does occur, does it eventually fade away, or can be hastened by retin-A? Also, to me, more scary is hypopigmentation. Is that a risk with micro-coring? Thank you!
what happens when you microcore a part of the skin that had fillers? how does that heal? can you use it on the wrinkles on the forehead? I want to try this but I work at an infectious unit, I will need to heal before going back to work.
I posted this same question before I saw your post :) let me know if she responds as I have acne scars and would be really interested in this treatment
This is interesting! I do find it funny that so many dermatologists freak out about exfoliation and the risk of causing micro-tears in your skin, yet there's also this process where you intentionally poke thousands of holes in your skin. 😅
This type is controlled holes/depth, and they are spaced evenly, this allows scar tissue/ healthing to be uniform reducing the risk of creating more skin texture, unlike tearing the skin with scrubs which is likely to create long inconsistent surface tears, and tugs, Making for likely a less uniform and more bumpy healing over time. The difference between smearing something around vs dabbing something down.( smearing is going to be inconsistent, but dabbing is going to be more uniform (of course if the pressure that is applied is the same)
@@brittanystorey9460 thank you for the answer that makes the most sense! I'll buy that this is better for making skin heal evenly. Heck, I might even try it. I'm probably never going to stop laughing about the suggestions that exfoliating is going to kill you though (not sure if Dr. Dray has said that - I've seen other dermatologists say it is a risk due to infection through micro tears - gimme a break).
I recently watched a video on Micro coring with before and after pics. Gotta say I wasn't impressed or convinced " yet". 😅 I'd stick to Microneedling and RF for now.
I think it's very little skin removed. Too conservative. "Up to 8%" is not a lot. They're looking for FDA approval, so they make it weak so no one gets hurt. Meanwhile it's 3k and you probably don't get a whole lot of improvement. I'm thinking if you find a place to give you like a package of 3-5 treatments for a discounted price that could be worth it.
Why just lower face.... why not places like chest or stomach? Mainly stomach coz there are no veins or nerve endings like the jawline. I think it's an ignored space. I know that cold sculpt thing is there but body should be easier to get FDA clearance for than face
I was part of the trial of this device. It is a very subtle improvement. The worst part is getting the numbing shots before the procedure. I had the procedure over all over the face so had to have multiple shots.
Like using biscuit cutter to make biscuits, sometimes a biscuit may be stubborn to release from the dough or cutter, will there be “like” concerns between needles and skin? A concern when cut piece is left on site unreleased?
Thank you so incredibly much- always so informative. And I MUST get one of those pillows!! Especially since your skin is absolutely glowing! May I ask, would you be able to do a video on how hormones can effect hyperpigmentation- not just estrogen & progesterone, also cortisol etc & how it & stress influences hyperpigmentation ( NOT by causing pimples resulting in pih ). Would love to see a video about how starvation etc effects the skin & can also cause pigmentation. Incredibly sorry for the long request!
Interesting that you post this now, I've been considering this option for a while now. I've tried other laser procedures...Vivace, etc, waste of money. Planning to make an appt for this next week.

This sounds so interesting and promising. It looks like needling but reviews I read were talking about a long downtime with long redness like months, plus it seems to dissolve filler. I am waiting for more reviews.
I'm going to have to try that back sleep training pillow, I have the chest creases!!! No point in trying to improve the look of them unless I can sleep on my back!
I wear a bra to bed. It is not uncomfortable if it is the right size and fit. I am used to it anyway. I always wear a "spacer" bra, which doesn't flatten or smoosh the breasts together. I sleep on my back, using a small convex triangle "knee" pillow behind my neck & head (meant for side sleepers). I use a pure silk pillowcase too. If you do wear a bra to bed and sleep on your side, you can just tuck something like a foam hair roller/cotton sockette etc. in the cleavage (to stop the upper breast dragging over to sit on the breast closest to the mattress). The other omportant thing is sunscreen on the chest everyday! UV rays can go through your regular day clothes and cause wrinkles, crepeyness and collagen depletion and sagginess on the neck, chest and breast area. I did buy a Sleep & Glow pillow for my sister when she was recovering from dental work. She loves it. 👱♀️❤
Thanks for your explanation of these pillows. I have the Omnia pillow. It seems to be very much thinner looking than the one you have. I’ve wondered if I ordered the wrong pillow. Anyone on here know the actual height of the pillow? Thanks.
Hi Dr. Dray... Can you please comment on eyebrow alopecia? I recently and suddenly developed it, mostly on one side. My physician attributed it to stress but I honestly am not experiencing a particularly stressful period right now. I'm perimenopausal and on HRT. My labs are normal. (Do I have to be concerned about losing head hair?!)
I've been so curious about this procedure and I think it might be right for my slight skin laxity. I've also been considering Sculptra, but this seems like more of a sure thing for the results I seek. Thank you for covering it.
I've been considering Sculptra too and would like to try it in the next few months as a boost. No concerns about wrinkles, laxity, or sagging though. I've heard from a few folks it worked well for their laxity and added overall boosts for treatments & skincasre.

Yes, of course you can. I’m Muslim & pray 5x’s a day too. I wash my face & moisturize at night. I wake up & only apply moisturizer & make wudhu all day long

Dear Dr. Dray, thank you so much for the information you continue to provide. I haven't come across any videos from you regarding the controversy surrounding potential facial fat loss with some non-invasive procedures, such as radiofrequency, ultherapy, etc. I had Ultherapy more than a decade ago, I believe with noticeable benefit. Since then, I've had a couple of Thermage treatments within the space of a few years; I feel I noticed benefit and no negatives. I've prepaid my next Thermage treatment to get a good deal, and some Botox. I was considering having those treatments in the coming months. However, I've been using an at home red light therapy device, which seems to be having some amazing results. Are there contraindications to going ahead with the prepaid Thermage and Botox now, should I hold off on using the redlight device around the time of the other treatments, will I have different Thermage results this time due to the changes that have recently been made to my face with the redlight device? Thanking you in advance.

I’m interested in this topic as well!!
And how it impacts skin elasticity
Interesting that you post this now, I've been considering this option for a while now. I've tried other laser procedures...Vivace, etc, waste of money. Planning to make an appt for this next week.
Where are you getting this done
I did it. Effect is really good.
Face "shrink" immediately. Pigmentation from acne improves.
But I do not know if it makes any long term damage?
Cost?
Yes please share the cost! How many times did you do it?
I want to have this done where did you go? Thanks
Would love to see your before and after!
@@jm7174 1000 euro per procedure (face+neck) in Spain if I recall it correctly.
Or maybe it was 700 and then 300 for IPR with growth factor to apply directly after MNRF
But it did was expensive
Thanks for this! Am wiser & job hunting. Being wiser shouldn't matter, but am considering this to look less wiser! 🦉. Happy Friday!!
I’ve heard amazing things about this. Thank you for the in-depth information.
i get that it’s a new treatment but wish pricing was addressed in this introduction vid to some capacity.
This sounds so interesting and promising. It looks like needling but reviews I read were talking about a long downtime with long redness like months, plus it seems to dissolve filler. I am waiting for more reviews.
🌺Could this be performed on the neck for crepey skin?
when you say it's good for skin that still produces collagen, that says to me up to about 45. Am
I right?
Happpy Friday, Dr. Dray 🤍😊☀️🌸
You too!
👱♀️❤
Only person whom I can trust with any advise 💕thank you for improving my skin and all the knowledge.
thanks for watching
Interesting! I wonder when/if it would be approved at some point for the neck. How much is the average cost?
What’s the difference between this and micro needling with RF
Curious if anyone has tried this yet?!? Please give us the results!!!
Wow, this sounds very promising. Thank you so much for the info. Thank you Dr. Dray! 😊
Can you please talk about Lancome and their products
I have a micro-coring emergency: my mother has turkey neck, and I know this will be my fate unless this treatment gets approved for the neck area. 😬
I’m so happy I ran into your videos. You are gold 🌟
This could be revolutionary!!! 💙
Happy Friday Dr Dray! 😊❤️

There's no scaring even with those that suffer from keloid scaring?
I've been so curious about this procedure and I think it might be right for my slight skin laxity. I've also been considering Sculptra, but this seems like more of a sure thing for the results I seek. Thank you for covering it.
Have you looked into the Fontana 4d lift?
@@happytx1860 Is it actually efficacious? Been wondering.
I've been considering Sculptra too and would like to try it in the next few months as a boost. No concerns about wrinkles, laxity, or sagging though. I've heard from a few folks it worked well for their laxity and added overall boosts for treatments & skincasre.
@@Luvanmusiq it's 4 types of laser treatment. You need a series of 3 treatments $800.00 each. I have not tried it. I am just not sure about fillers unless it's fat.
@@happytx1860 no, have you tried it?
I've heard about this procedure from several sources. While I dread the thought of getting nerve blockers, I'm very interested in having this done. I'd be a good candidate, except for being poor. :0)
Couldn't something like this be able to remove stretch marks over repeated sessions? What do you think?
I have not heard of this. I’m 61, so too old I think. Thx for your skin science.
What about for men with beards, will this remove hair follicles affecting beard regrowth density?
This is a great question!
Thank you, Dr. Dray!
Thanks for watching!
Totally read this as Getting Tight Skin? And thought, yep that’s me with tight, taut, dehydrated skin ….. and here’s the solution!
I did not hear any mention of how much this costs? Maybe I spaced out for a few seconds and missed that bit. Guessing I won't be able to afford this treatment, sadly!
In your opinion would this mess with hyaluronic acid nasal labial fold filler?
Which lipgloss do you use? It's gorgeous
Dr dray, your b roll is adorable
Dr. Dray can i apply moisturizer without cleansing my face? I have to do wadu 5 times a day that means washing my face with water 5 times a day. I can't cleanse everytime. Using neutrogena oil free moisturizer atm.
Yes, of course you can. I’m Muslim & pray 5x’s a day too. I wash my face & moisturize at night. I wake up & only apply moisturizer & make wudhu all day long
I wonder if this would work on people with EDS since our collagen is messed up 🦓
I was thinking exactly the same.... 🦓🦓

A person with paper thin skin could not do this. I can literally see a large vein in my face through my aging skin. Its so visible its hard to cover up with makeup. What do you recommend for people with thin skin? Thanks for all of your hard work.
The WhatsApp person that left a message is a scam (of course) that is hijacking Dr. Dray’s image. She needs to know this
I reported it
Happy Friday, Dr Dray!
Same to you!
Can it be used for upper eyelids?
This is exactly what I need don't have much wrinkles just some mild sagging around my mouth.
I do not use pillow sleep I sleep without pillow so not sure if it is wrong or not
If you got this procedure done and then used tretinoin while healing would it have an even better result?
No, you can't use your skincare for at least a week. Watch Brianna Stanko's vid.
