They both are selfish by nature, and Ging is the only person who truly understands him, but Ging's way of "allowing a path" for Gon is to put him in life and death situations, like fighting Razor, because if Gon isn't strong enough to win a "game" then he shouldn't find him It's this weird relationship where Gon knows what's at stake, and knows he can die or something worse, but it's his own choice and Ging only gives him what he wants, however Gon would not feel that way if he wasn't abandoned, he wants to prove his dad he's worth it and that's why he enters this hunter world, a hardcore world that twists Gon's head and makes him more violent
I like how Carter and Cannon are contemplating life after realizing how powerful the ants are, it is weird because I think everybody felt the same way I mean it is a human instinct. We think we are powerful but when met with something that has that potential we are quickly prone to fear and despair. interesting...
This is what sets Hunter x Hunter apart from other anime, say goodbye to the "you can smile" arcs. No more creepy fun and scary games from here on, easily top 5 best anime arcs of all time, imo.

If you do go back to read/watch it, the only difference is that Kite does not give Gon Ging’s license when they meet on Whale Island in this adaptation.
I don't understand why they decided to skip that chapter in the beginning. And even though they showed some of it later, I wish they had elaborated further on the bond between Gon & Kite. In the manga, its clear Kite played a major influence in Gon wanting to be a hunter, that didn't really come across as much in the anime. This would be my only gripe with this arc, rest is all perfect.

The author has not revealed "the" ending. He revealed one ending he once considered but scrapped and said if he dies before he finishes the show, that scrapped ending to be seen as the official one. The scrapped ending was really just Gons granddaughter catching the lord of the lake like he once did, her family encourages her to become a hunter but she just wants to stay on the island as she enjoys her life there.

I think you guys, contrary to what some might say, would actually really appreciate this arc more than the other arcs especially for what it offers to the many amazing characters in the series. Not really. You find out where they come from, but there’s a lot of unanswered questions. How did the Queen become so large and intelligent without eating humans? How did she lose her arm? How did she even get to the human part of the world?

I recommand you guys to watch Hunter X Hunter episode 1 , but 1999 version, because they skipped Kaito in that current version and they're now trying to fix things. Kaito met Gon on his island and was the one who revealed he was still alive
They should've watch that first 1991 version episode in the very beginning. Now it's moot. I agree with people saying this new Kite's intro is enough. What I disagree is the comformity mindset. I think the original, what the genius author intended is what's best as a viewing experience! And Kite was one of the first thing introduced in the manga, and now encountering like this just hits different.

Oh boy... even though I've already watched this, it still gives me anxiety. This arc made me feel all types of emotions, and just by watching its first episode, it had me go through the 5 stages of grief all over again. I love your predictions, and it's okay to be confused at first. You'll get your answers as you move forward, and don't listen to the negative feedback about this arc. I want y'all to finish it and judge it for yourselves.
Fun fact: In the manga, Gon and Kite immediately recognize each other. It makes no sense that they forget about each other, because Kite knows that Gon is Gin's son, since he arrived at Whale island specifically to find his master Ging, and that flashback scene happened like just 3 years ago since the show started. Actually, that flashback fo Kite saving Gon was supposed to appear in the F*CKING FIRST EPISODE, and it was longer than just a few seconds, like in the 1997 anime, but for some unexplainable reason Madhouse's 2011 anime skipped it... You can watch the 1st episode frome 97 anime for more context if you want, although it skipped some things from the manga too, I think they're less important, but if you want something shorter, I recommend David Aniki's playlist called "Hunter x Hunter Anime and Manga Differences" the 1st video and 17th video are about that flashback, they're short videos, and don't worry, they don't contain spoiler from future episodes. Actually, I think is safe to watch any other video before the 17th one, since you already watched those arcs.
There's a storytelling reason the show left that flashback out, that part in the manga was made when Ging's character still was not fully planned out and it portrayed Ging in an entirely different way than how he turned out. Their official rationale was that they didn't want to mislead the viewers with a teaser character/ set-up that ultimate leads to huge disappointment if they had left it in. TL, DR: Ging ended up being a bad father, but that Kite flashback and intro was made when Togashi still thought he'd write an adventurous but good father lol.
What you're saying didn't happen in this version of the story, Kite didn't know he was Ging's son until now, they didn't omit any flashbacks, it simply didn't happen yet. The most likely reason for them to rewrite Kite's flashback, is because Kite has to give a certain item to Gon, but that's impossible to remember this far into the story, so the scene happens in episode 85 instead, and it's better written so audiences can remember I don't like that Kite appears this late into the story, but it doesn't change anything: Gon didn't become a hunter because of Kite, he starts caring about Kite now because he already found Ging, meaning he's the person he wishes to become, from now on Gon's purpose is to be strong as Kite

to comment on the why togashi (the hunter hunter author) doesnt have someone else do the drawing for him at his age its mostly pride hes the author to two wildly popular series Hunter X Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho i think that he feels that the manga will take a drop in quality if he has someone else do the art and he feels the fans wont like it as well. Also after the Yu Yu Hakusho ending i think he feels guilty about ending it abruptly and finishing it the way he did so he wants to do Hunter X Hunter to his best ability by his own means, But I am on the side of wanting togashi to be as healthy as possible so if that means getting an outside party to draw the manga i would be content with it. Regardless i hope you guys enjoy Hunter X Hunter this truly is one of the best anime's of all time.

The author has revealed due to his health complications, he has 4 possible endings to go with. If he passes away or is unable to draw anymore he said to release one of the 4 endings based on how far he got into the story. So sad for Togashi, I hope everyone supports him regardless if they find the ending satisfactory.

Oh boy... even though I've already watched this, it still gives me anxiety. This arc made me feel all types of emotions, and just by watching its first episode, it had me go through the 5 stages of grief all over again.

Fun fact:
In the manga, Gon and Kite immediately recognize each other.
It makes no sense that they forget about each other, because Kite knows that Gon is Gin's son, since he arrived at Whale island specifically to find his master Ging, and that flashback scene happened like just 3 years ago since the show started.
Actually, that flashback fo Kite saving Gon was supposed to appear in the F*CKING FIRST EPISODE, and it was longer than just a few seconds, like in the 1997 anime, but for some unexplainable reason Madhouse's 2011 anime skipped it...
You can watch the 1st episode frome 97 anime for more context if you want, although it skipped some things from the manga too, I think they're less important, but if you want something shorter, I recommend David Aniki's playlist called "Hunter x Hunter Anime and Manga Differences" the 1st video and 17th video are about that flashback, they're short videos, and don't worry, they don't contain spoiler from future episodes.
Actually, I think is safe to watch any other video before the 17th one, since you already watched those arcs.
Anime kite just has dementia leave him alone
There's a storytelling reason the show left that flashback out, that part in the manga was made when Ging's character still was not fully planned out and it portrayed Ging in an entirely different way than how he turned out. Their official rationale was that they didn't want to mislead the viewers with a teaser character/ set-up that ultimate leads to huge disappointment if they had left it in.
TL, DR: Ging ended up being a bad father, but that Kite flashback and intro was made when Togashi still thought he'd write an adventurous but good father lol.

What you're saying didn't happen in this version of the story, Kite didn't know he was Ging's son until now, they didn't omit any flashbacks, it simply didn't happen yet. The most likely reason for them to rewrite Kite's flashback, is because Kite has to give a certain item to Gon, but that's impossible to remember this far into the story, so the scene happens in episode 85 instead, and it's better written so audiences can remember
I don't like that Kite appears this late into the story, but it doesn't change anything: Gon didn't become a hunter because of Kite, he starts caring about Kite now because he already found Ging, meaning he's the person he wishes to become, from now on Gon's purpose is to be strong as Kite
@@b_delta9725 i'm pretty sure it's real, I remember seeing a New World review video about it, pretty sure that's the vid that introduced me to his channel, but that was awhile ago. Anyways, what i remember was him mentioning a Togashi interview or an interview with someone relating to the production of the anime, and they really did explain why the Kite flashback wasn't there, and it really was to not "mislead the viewers". Look up this vid/interview for confirmation if you'd like because i'm not 100% certain, just like 85%.

to comment on the why togashi (the hunter hunter author) doesnt have someone else do the drawing for him at his age its mostly pride hes the author to two wildly popular series Hunter X Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho i think that he feels that the manga will take a drop in quality if he has someone else do the art and he feels the fans wont like it as well. Also after the Yu Yu Hakusho ending i think he feels guilty about ending it abruptly and finishing it the way he did so he wants to do Hunter X Hunter to his best ability by his own means, But I am on the side of wanting togashi to be as healthy as possible so if that means getting an outside party to draw the manga i would be content with it. Regardless i hope you guys enjoy Hunter X Hunter this truly is one of the best anime's of all time.

The author has revealed due to his health complications, he has 4 possible endings to go with. If he passes away or is unable to draw anymore he said to release one of the 4 endings based on how far he got into the story. So sad for Togashi, I hope everyone supports him regardless if they find the ending satisfactory.

I believe Ging didn't want Gon to use accompany cuz that would be a cheap way to bring his friends to him. I don't think he would be mad if Gon found him with friends tagging along.
