I subscribed to the patreon when they started this show. I've been waiting for this chimera ant arc let's freaking go give us 2 episodes each Sunday 😤😤😤😤😤
This episode isn't really canon in the manga. In the manga, Kite is the first hunter we ever meet and he is the reason Gon learns about his dad. We then get to this scene, and in the manga Gon and Kite instantly recognize each other. This happened because the 2011 anime left out Kite's story in the first episode for no reason lol
the reason was, that the studio didin't know if they'll make it to this point in the anime, so hired a seiyu for just one episode and then re-cast him in episode 76, would have been a big risk.
It's no fun that they watched the opening at this moment because everything got spoiled and watching the 1999 ep 1 because Kite got spoiled cause his backstory with Gon is nothing much important to me it just can be a memory flashback until Kite was killed.
The fact they think Silva is a better father than Ging is so moronic I can't help but laugh. Silva has done so many terrible things. Ging is not even a top 3 terrible father in HXH 😂 Also him thanking Kite for hitting Gon was a lesson like how do you miss that context when it was literally explained?
Good point by Parker, but I think Hunter in this world means like explorer... maybe, bc right after the word, they talk about uncovering the mysteries of the world...
BTW, this episode is mostly filler. - In the manga, Kite and Gon immediately recognized each other (Ch 185). - Kite's backstory doesn't exist in the manga (anime only). They took 7 pages and stretch it out to 22 minutes 🙄. This episode is arguably the worst episode in HxH
12:50 Bro do they really not understand what tf is going on or are they just playing stupid because they hate Ging? A simple hit in the face in an important situation can help a kid a lot in life.
I don't really get how this far into the anime people can still be so frustrated with Ging. Unless it's just supposed to be funny to shit on Ging all the time, idk, lol. Before I continue, I will agree that it is wrong to have a child and abandon them. I'm not condoning it. But.. Gon has accepted that this is who is father is. Hell, it's hard to say he really even acknowledges him as a father figure because he always calls him "Ging", and rarely says father. He even said it feels more right to call him by his name. Gon's whole reason for wanting to find Ging is to ask him what was so important to him that it was worth abandoning his son. But Gon isn't coming at Ging from a place of hate.. He's coming at him from a place of wanting to understand. Gon got all the love and care he needed from Mito and his grandmother (or great grandmother? can't remember). He was clearly raised in a loving family just from the person we see he's already grown to be. So the reason I find it strange when people give Gon's dad so much hate is because Gon has accepted Ging for who is he. He has no hate in his heart towards him. Not once during any of the trials his dad set before him has Gon ever said anything negative about Ging. He just looks forward to the challenge. So why hate Ging when Gon doesn't hate Ging? It'd be like if you had a friend in real life who had a dad who abandoned them as a child but they've moved on and accepted that part of their life. It'd be strange to keep being like, "Aren't you upset?" "Don't you hate him?" "It really doesn't bother you?" .. That's like the feeling it gives me when I see people get so bothered with Ging. It's not really your place to be upset for Gon because Gon isn't upset himself. It'd be different if Gon talked about how it upset him that Ging left him. Or if every once in awhile Ging would do something to try and truly hurt Gon. But none of those things have happened. The only reason I mention this is because some of the reactors REALLY seem to be frustrated. Unless it's just acting that's going over my head, lol. Sorry if this comes off as offensive or blunt. I'm not trying to be.
I feel like it’s a normal reaction to dislike a deadbeat parent. They neglected their responsibilities. Even if the child doesn’t harbour any hatred, the child’s loved ones probably would do because they believe that the parent failed their child.
SPOILERS BELOW Even Leorio acts pretty much exactly how you say a lot of reactors reacted. So it seems like togashi understands this as a natural response
It really seems like you just don't understand how people form opinions of others. We all learn what kind of person Gon is so it's not surprising that he doesn't resent Ging. The thing is, you don't need to take Gon's feelings on Ging into consideration to form your own opinion of him. You can judge Ging's actions completely independently of Gon's reaction to them. This is what you're failing to understand it seems.
Ging stinks Bruh he’s literally a meme in the anime community and the whole HxH anime fanbase shits on him how are you writing essays and think pieces on that character lol
Not to insult anyone, but watching the opening of the Chimera Ant arc is really stupid, honestly. Imagine someone simply spoiling them the amount of information equivalent. He would be haaaated. And they do it to themselves.
Believe it or not, openings and endings get put there to be watched. This shit aired on TV. Seeing characters is not spoilers, and people seriously need to drop this notion. I watched the OP and ED the first time as well, and did I end up going "OH NOOOO, WATCHING THE REST OF THE SHOW IS POINTLESS NOW AAAAA NOOOOOO"? Hell no. I was like "oh, who are all these guys? that guy looks cool, wonder who he is". And when they show up, I'm like "oh, it's that guy, that's what he's called. neat." Stop going full redditfrog over openings, just watch the show the way it's intended and stop screaming about it online.
Zing is I watch this when it was first coming out without reading the manga and I was still shocked by so many things that happened and I was watching it when it aired weekly... With the opening and ending there for all to see. I don't understand your point? Why must we police how people enjoy the shows?

12:50
Bro do they really not understand what tf is going on or are they just playing stupid because they hate Ging? A simple hit in the face in an important situation can help a kid a lot in life.
Finally, upload 2 eps guys =)
And into the Darkness we go...
Why see the opening? is full of spoilers
When will you do the entire 1999 version? Maybe after Chimera ants? I am waiting!
Probably never honestly
There's no real point. It's even more unfinished and the story's the same
Welcome to the dark side guys, nice to finally meet you.
It begins 😁
(and Ging is the worst!)
Welcome to Hunter x Hunter
Do 4 episode every week please guys 😂😂😅😢
SPOILERS BELOW
Even Leorio acts pretty much exactly how you say a lot of reactors reacted. So it seems like togashi understands this as a natural response
U can’t be serious man lmao
It really seems like you just don't understand how people form opinions of others. We all learn what kind of person Gon is so it's not surprising that he doesn't resent Ging. The thing is, you don't need to take Gon's feelings on Ging into consideration to form your own opinion of him. You can judge Ging's actions completely independently of Gon's reaction to them. This is what you're failing to understand it seems.
Ging stinks Bruh he’s literally a meme in the anime community and the whole HxH anime fanbase shits on him how are you writing essays and think pieces on that character lol
Remember this comment...
You would be thankful Bisky decided not to join Killua and Gon.
Ging is definitely (worst) Father of the Year. Idk why Gon is so obsessed with him.
1 episode 🫥
Great reaction!
Hunter x Hunter's best arc in anime
The intro confused me. You watched 1999?
We watched just episode 1 of the 1999 series right before this episode. You can find it on our playlist! -Sam
@@TheReactPack Will check that out. I realised I commented too early and you explained it.
And when they show up, I'm like "oh, it's that guy, that's what he's called. neat."
Stop going full redditfrog over openings, just watch the show the way it's intended and stop screaming about it online.
this is literally how the show airs lmao. chill
Zing is I watch this when it was first coming out without reading the manga and I was still shocked by so many things that happened and I was watching it when it aired weekly... With the opening and ending there for all to see. I don't understand your point? Why must we police how people enjoy the shows?
we all watch anime wothout skiping intros, why they will do it any different, besides almost nobody actually analyse intros or pause it every frame trying to get some hints or clues.
@@glasslilacs IDK. Did the original mangaka make the decision to put them there?
I could just as well say trailers are created specifically for the reason of getting watched. All of yours "who are all these guys? that guy looks cool" also can relate to trailers.
Is it smart to watch a trailer, spoiling a noticeable portion of the story? I guess we have differing answers here.
