- #hunterxhunter #hunterxhunteranime #hxh x Hunter is one of the most popular and highly rated Shounen Anime of all time. It's garnered many fan theories and speculations as it's worldbuilding is generational in its structure and style of storytelling. Many people ask when the hunter x hunter anime is coming back. It is one of the best action anime reccomendations of all time, and is one of the most underrated mystery anime of all time. If you like Underrated Psychological Anime Reccomendations then this one is for you. Remember when Gon was one of the most OP anime protagonists of all time? Yeah. I do. With Hunter x Hunter chapter 410 coming out, let's ask the question: How Good Is Hunter x Hunter Actually?
A Hunter is one who travels the world doing all sorts of dangerous tasks. From capturing criminals to searching deep within uncharted lands for any lost treasures. Gon is a young boy whose father disappeared long ago, being a Hunter. He believes if he could also follow his father's path, he could one day reunite with him.
After becoming 12, Gon leaves his home and takes on the task of entering the Hunter exam, notorious for its low success rate and high probability of death to become an official Hunter. He befriends the revenge-driven Kurapika, the doctor-to-be Leorio and the rebellious ex-assassin Killua in the exam, with their friendship prevailing throughout the many trials and threats they come upon taking on the dangerous career of a Hunter. Based on the manga by Togashi Yoshihiro.

My Names Mobby and I love anime. I write anime reviews, Manga reviews, Even Video game reviews! I'm not a loser about it though because I definitely go outside. Please like and sub to me!
I hate how every smart hxh fan that wants to keep the series alive by talking about it peak view at 200
@@Game_guardian.1 video will go past 200 views I promise you
I believe this video will probably blow up, this guy knows what he's talking about

@@MobbyChann btw do you think the anime is returning 2025 because the game nen impact is releasing in 2025 and manga has returned so what's your thoughts or is madhouse too busy because come on its too obvious that is if the ANIME RETURNED IN 2025 THE HYPE IS ALREADY THERE

HxH does everything amazing, but what I truly think makes it the best (imo) is its characters and the connection you feel with them.
@@kenanOW I think I’d agree tbh. Very good cast of chatacters
phantom troupe, royal guards, meruem, hisoka all being the villains in the same story as genthru is crazy
@@hejti3894 yeah I’m not sure what he was thinking
genthru just a gamer
@ a horrible one because he got slammed by a 12 year old
I really think phantom troupe is the best anime villain group. Hxh alongside naruto and bleach hot some of the best antagonists ever imo.
HxH peak fiction fr, easily my favorite anime and manga. Also great video I'm surprised it doesn't have more views. You got a new sub today!

I think hunter x hunter doesn't compared with any other anime or manga, he already surpassed them a long time ago
There's nothing like Togashi's writing. Also watch Yu Yu Hakusho and Level E and you'll see what kind of genius he is. Level E gets rarely talked about due to how short it is, but I'd say its 13 episodes are some peak storytelling and the arc in those 13 episodes is pretty perfect.
@atlasli0n I’ve seen yu yu hakusho. It’s very good until the end in my opinion, I’ve never seen Level E sounds interesting…
congratulations you got me on your recommendations
@Stocksman-sg1ih hey I’m doing my best
In b4 the crashout over Logashi's passing and HxH still doesnt reach Dark Continent.
But seriously, I hate the growing precedence of folks accepting mangaka passing during their best/current works. Not cuz I'm a fanboy or anything, it just doesnt build a good environment and adds to the scary prospect of being mangaka. This is not due to things like natural disasters, but bad health. We should uplift better mangaka like Araki, who takes good care of himself and still maintains at least a decent level of quality for his work (whether or not he's IRL Dio or not).
Would be here all day talking about how not-so-good the story is (on top of being Far from finished), but lemme just say that the Nen system has barely mattered over time. Killua's claws (?) and taking electricity, the fact that Gon is son of Ging (hence being stupidly strong), Chimera Ants' growth rate, Uvo tanking many things due to being monstrously powerful, Hisoka beating Gon after holding back and tanking hits, Pitou winning strictly due to physical prowess (most of her Nen abilities aren't even combat-based), whatever's going on with Leorio. And to top it all off, most of the time, Nen attacks became just big flashy, Fuck-Off moves to obliterate the opponent like in any battle Shounen. Instead of the 4D chess of modern YGO, it's alot more like Season 1, beat-stick Duel Monsters YGO
@@kindasomeviews I think that ultimately I have no right on whether or not to say what or why togashi should live. If he wants to pass away doing his life’s work I have all the more respect for him. I’m not attempting to glorify that lifestyle but am instead offering my perspective as someone who would do the same thing.
@@kindasomeviews I really disagree with this view of Nen. The physical aspect of it being integrated makes the fights in HxH nuanced. It isn’t just who’s nen is bigger, it’s a struggle to actually predict and understand what’s going to happen because togashi knows how to write fights. I wouldn’t agree they became flashy fuck all moves. There’s plenty ofc characters with unique and very cool abilities but of course it’s your opinion and if you want to shit on it that’s cool too. Hunter x Hunter isn’t my favorite anime and Nen isn’t my favorite power system but arguing that it’s worthless is abit ridiculous.
Saying Logashi says a lot about you. Get out of your basement, go take a shower and have a proper meal.

I havent seen the 1999 version, though I plan to, but I highly recommend watching the 2011 anime first then reading the manga. You will get so much more out of it and appreciate both more as a result.
@@sillypopcorn1006 agreed! Or the manga first than the 2011 anime. Either or is great

Just a silly nitpick, you don't say the X in the name, you just say "Hunter Hunter".
It can be called either does it really matter? We’re talking about the same story.
@@MobbyChann True. You can call it Hunter times Hunter, hunter multiplied by hunter or the product of hunter and hunter. DO YOU. Great video btw.
@@Paloshoot appreciate the love man and yeah the name thing is stupid
I agree. It isn't that deep. It's the classical battle shonen but actually done well.
@@Galacsia exactly, good things don’t need to be complex sometimes simple is bettrr
How good it is ? Top 3 shonen every made with fmab and attack on titan.
Subjective , besides i got both aot and hxh in my top 3. Its some of the best ever.
Isn't it a bit counterproductive to call it Hunter EX Hunter all the time when you basically want the viewer to think you are very qualified to talk about it?
I mean, even among casuals, the fact that you don't pronounce the X (which actually isn't an X to begin with, but a cross) is well known.
Nothing against you, but if you start the video like "If anyone is qualified to talk about it, its ME." and really want to build up your own stand in this, calling it that way feels like a splinter under the fingernail and does you a great disservice. That way, you only make sure, from the very beginning, that everyone will take everything you say with at least a grain of salt if not dismiss it from the start.
@@matthew__creek nobody really cares what you call it, it’s not really that deep. Hunter x Hunter, Hunter Hunter. It’s semantics, nothing about its name disqualifies me from talking about it. I don’t think it’s counter productive whatsoever
So a way of pronouncing it makes a person qualified? This must be an elaborate joke
Right
HxH is the most innovative shonen in the last 30 years, there's not a single arc like the other unlike One Piece or Bleach (OP being the worst example of this). I don't count Naruto because, since I watched HxH, I can't think about it being something different than a ripoff that betrayed it's own core message for money lol.
Even if Sensei Togashi never finishes the story, two MCs already achieved their objectives in such an entretaining way despite HxH being less than 40 volumes it''s impressive. If Sensei was 30 years younger, I think we would see Kurapika retrieving his clan's eyes and Leorio becoming a full-fledged doctor, and the story would keep going in the direction he hinted at last year, Something akin to Dorohedoro in its final arc. Like.
@@dedstrock yes! HxH is innovative. Most innovative of all time? Debatable to me I’d have to really think about it. I do think Naruto betrays itself in areas for its message which is more of a negative thing rather than a positive
This next arc will be absolutely insane yes
@@MobbyChann I wrote "last 30 years" for a reason, so I don't disrespect works like HnK, DB or JoJo lol; Sensei Araki has been a beast in this field for the last 40 years or so. Thanks for answering my comment.
watching for first time, i ended meruem dead, basically cinema masterpiece HxH, tho i question whats so misterious about it all, like i was thinking it was super profound and worldbuilding it like op but rn it doesnt seem like it, i guess i need to read it all first. But totally cinema, who needs super mistery and world building like op anyway.
edit: stopped at 7 min dont want poss spoilers, but i totally agree that the way hxh uses nen is just genius, if you compare this to the likes of one piece with haki, is like comparing an ant to an elephant, there is not even a way to compare because op sucks so bad at that.
also completely agree that worldbuilding is often used to talk about how big something is rather than how that big affects things, what makes that big world feel real.
i also think nen wasnt that complex, is just more information than your typical shonnen, but is makes things to work so good that it really doesnt matter that it is that complex.
@@juannunez4436 I think it’s in the fact that hunter x hunter at its heart is an adventure anime. There’s a lot of travel, but the world building does get expanded on in the last 160 chapters or so that the anime does not cover
Yeah one piece could use haki way better but I don’t think its story is as reliant on it as other shounen are. It’s a pretty strange comparison, because Haki doesn’t really come around until the second half of the story. Nen is present from the beginning stages pretty much. I don’t think it matters if it’s complex or not yeah, that’s just the general consensus which is a weird one in my opinion.
@MobbyChann well i will have to read it all, currently watching the anime.
As for one piece, well, i have been a long time fan and up to date rn and really powerscale has made 0 progress to me me interested in any way, the only thing pushing me in is the super-arc-long-story thats hidden and that we have been getting the lore with tiny drops.
I hope it can stay interesting because fights im gonna say is a consensus people dont enjoy anymore post time skip.
@@juannunez4436 I think that’s a huge issue with OP. Its power cliffing is horrendous and really got worse as time went on. It just feels like nonsense. Thats why I don’t really care for Gear 5 or any moment post timeskip, because it just became ridiculous at a point and it’s one of Odas flaws. In fairness, its hard to write a story for 25 years and keep it consistent in any way, I give credit to him but yeah its really bad
@MobbyChann yep, g5 was a huge let down for many people (my included) who managed to believe that oda wouldnt let a plot in history go 50/50 like that (meaning, you know you going to get backslash, but you do)
But well, age got to him, he reeeally wants to "have fun" i guess, i hope he delivers in other aspects.
