I was waiting for the comments to load until I realized I'm the first! I'm currently in the process of restoring a mostly working Tek 561A, but some of the knobs on the plugins have gotten flakey. It's great to see more of these scopes on youtube! BTW, what is the song?
Thank you! The song is Attack Vector by C. Allen. I have a full length video of it on this scope at: th-cam.com/video/2fIXYtuQ1wY/w-d-xo.html - Regarding the knobs on yours. DeOxit F5 can do wonders spraying bursts into the pots and then moving them back and forth and then another burst, and letting it sit a while before trying again. Sometimes you can get to the inside of the knobs by removing the outer knob (requires hex key I think) or by spraying from behind the case. Good luck!
can you do a tutorial on how to play music to an older one? this looks like a tek from what little i know, i just got a tek 453 running and got rca->bnc adapters!
I don't remember what your comment was now but was probably confused by it...it's just rare to see new comments in this old video and I saw it in my feed so gave it a like :)
They have exhaust fans like case fans for computers. But I'd say not any more audible than your typical computer is these days just soft fan noise. I have a modern Siglent SDS1104X and that is louder than these old analog ones.
The doodads are operating at peak efficiency
Your local hospital wants their oscilloscope back
This is what electronic music sounded like to me when I was a kid in the 90s early 2000s
this is so cool

About to try this on my Knight DG-635, I don't have probes so looking to make some
I just used a standard stereo audio RCA to 3.5mm cable, with BNC to RCA ends for the scope. Real simple setup but works!

how loud are vectorscope/oscilloscopes? Any machine noise when turned on? ie fan noise or humming or mechanical noise?
