Ihad (have) an 86.5 xc 500 and the engine blew. I'm much older now and thinking about mounting an xc350f ktm engine in it. That frame has the geometry I've grown to love and don't care for the newer flat top bikes. Either that or I might consider selling it for the right money. Oh I have a 90 MX 500 ktm also that is for sale. 3500.00 for that bike with low hours. (65 hp).

I like the water cooled 500 way more

Out of the box the primary gearing was terrible.
