I had a 84 WR500 I rode enduros for 2 years on. Boy I loved the bark that bad boy had. The pit crew (wife) who was not a motorcycle person always knew when I was coming through a section. Why was I such a dumbass and sold her.
Still my bikes are waiting on me. Have alot of great parts for them though. I have this same clarke tank or a real nice aluminum one now, for my '83. I'll go check your other clips, as this bike build for your friends brother is just stunning.
Just spotted your Cafe Husky thread, as I'm trying to start focusing on my bikes again. This looks like one of the lowest hour original bikes I've ever seen, that you were lucky enough to begin with. Real nice build!
Very very nice. I have several Husky bike projects like this waiting in line for my attention. An '83 500XC, an '85 500XC, and an '88 510TE. Can't wait to have them even close to looking as nice as your bike does here. I'm also giving thoughts to putting the '84 plastics on my '83, as I like the tank.

Very very nice. I have several Husky bike projects like this waiting in line for my attention. An '83 500XC, an '85 500XC, and an '88 510TE. Oh the 510TE four stroke. They cant have sold many of these and ive never seen one in the flesh (metal)
