    You have beautiful feet. Wow. Wish I had that. I am currently coming down with one foot problem after the other. In growns, neuromas, mild bunion on the left. Trying to get as much information as I can get. Cutting out the in-growns was hell. Trying to be pro active with the other issues. Good video.

      ofosusam thank you. Great to hear you are working on your feet. Make sure your foot wear toe box is wide and the sole allows good movement. All the best!

    Helpful video, easy to follow. I'll add that to my daily routine and look forward to reducing my bunions. Think I'll trace around my feet so I'll have an image for comparison once I've been practicing the routine regularly. Hopeful, Vicki

      Hi Vicki, Thanks for your message. Good idea to do an outline, you may also like to take a photo. Do note that bunions usually get worse over time so even halting the decline initially is a good result. Overtime I have seen them reverse with regular use of the exercises in this video or similar.

      Radu Blaga thanks for your comment. As you know our feet do a lot for us every day and giving them some care is a wonderful thing that ideally we keep on doing as we get older. 😊

    This is great, thank you! I’m having trouble with the exercise where you drew your toes together, I’m struggling to do it without bending my toe-joints, any tips? I’m also wondering if severe bunions have been corrected this way? I have mild bunions so I’m hoping I can reverse them.

    • @melanieyoung2720
      @melanieyoung2720 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thea's Mummy, thanks for your question. If you are having trouble with drawing up your metatarsal arch you are not alone😊. Try putting your fingers under your toes, using the pads of your fingers to draw out your toes so they don’t bunch, while really trying to get the little boney bumps of your metatarsal heads to rise up. It will take practice with lots of concentration. Keep at it daily! Yes you should be able to reverse mild bunions using my method.
      I have a patient with severe bunions who is working on hers and keeping track of her progress with tracings and photos. It just takes time. Without working on your feet bunions tend to progress over the years.

    • @SquirrelHoney
      @SquirrelHoney 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, I’ll keep trying! Do you mean to use my fingertips on the tips of my toes to pull the toe to stop myself bending at the middle toe-joint? Do you know if any other exercises to work this arch? I have been told to work on it as mine has collapsed some abs I’m hoping to strengthen it and realign my toes. Thank you for sharing your success stories, there is a lot of contradictory information on bunions out there, so it’s good to know that it is possible to reverse them!

      Panda Bts the video shows how to first warm up your feet them get the toes moving better. Doing just one exercise won’t work as well. Daily work is important especially initially until your feet are functioning.

    Soooo, I take my son out to McDonalds for breakfast and sit next to a table of women talking about whether or not their feet are pretty. They asked for my humble opinion and of course after careful consideration proclaimed them all to have equally pretty feet. My 5 year old of course goes home and promptly tells his mother I was playing footsie with four women at McDonalds. We now have to eat at Burger King.

    Hi I have heard that a toe spacer is necessary to put the joint in proper alignment before exercising?

    • @melanieyoung2720
      @melanieyoung2720 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Nigel and Helen, if your toes overlap or are heading that way then a toe spacer can be helpful to wear as long as it is comfortable. Gently working on your feet daily will produce best results. Over time it is usually the case that less treatment is needed. Important to wear zero drop wide toe box shoes.

    • @cityosteopaths2726
      @cityosteopaths2726  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Antonella Micheli can you move your toe gently with your fingers or is it very stuck? If so you may like to see your local practitioner who can organise an X-ray for you. Just remember it’s been a long time coming so you will need a long time of getting it moving again to change the boney structure. But it’s worth it! 😊

    • @cityosteopaths2726
      @cityosteopaths2726  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Antonia, that’s great you can move your toe gently with your fingers. The high heels for your ballroom dancing will probably be exacerbating your bunion/toe stiffness and pain. I recommend you work on the exercises gently, especially toe abduction and reduce the high heels as much as possible.
      Best wishes,
