I can't wait to try these suggestions. I have suffered with bunions on both feet for years. I was considering surgery, but hopefully I will have great success with your guidance. Thank you for sharing!

I really love your short super informative videos. Thank you so much for openly sharing this information. My mum had bunions but was never taught any of these techniques. Forewarned is forearmed.
Any fix for Tailor's bunions? I've worn wide toe box Brooks Dyad sneakers and $500 custom orthotics that get changed (high arch, narrow heel) for 15 years. Only change was I switched from Brooks Dyad to Ghost model a year ago and suddenly have TaIlors bunions! Thank you. Excellent videos.
Thank you for your kind words! Modifying, reducing or eliminating all factors that contribute to these kinds of problems is key. Shoes with a wide (foot shaped) toe box are a must. Incorporating toe separators into the daily routine can also be very helpful - Here's a video on that: th-cam.com/video/37kWtqOxfVA/w-d-xo.html

I loved learning about the bunions and that I can do something myself about them. I get massaged and have my toes pulled, but now I can also work on them myself. I ride horses, love it but the boots have affected my big toes. I also play a lot of tennis but the shoes are better than the boots. I also recently purchased the Power Plate and appreciate the advice Yoni Whitten provided on both topics. Tore my meniscus in my right knee from tennis and while it is slowly getting better, think these two things will accelerate my recovery.
Find a functional orthoses that modifies the eversion motion of the subtalar joint, and in taking away the deforming forces transferred to the forefoot with each of the 5 to 7000 steps per day and you might SLOW the lateral drift of the hallux
You are the first doctor who has ever mentioned these toe devices and exercises for bunions. I have a question...what about bunions on the other side of the foot (at the little toe)? I had a bunionectomy on this area of my foot cause it was so painful. Would these devices and exercises work for this as well?
Hi Ja ya, On the pinky side they're called "bunionettes or a tailor's bunion". The toe spreaders, foot strengthening and shoe recommendations would all apply to those to.

Hi my names Greg. I have a bunion on my right foot, and also gout on the same foot. Is the bunion in anyway related to the gout, or are both separate issues?
Good question, gout can definitely cause a bump to form at the joint of the big toe and so they can look similar. However, a true bunion - or hallux valgus deformity - is not related to gout.
Thanks for the video. Quick question: what if it's the joint above the bunion, will this be beneficial for it too? RE: Lupus, Fibromaylgia & Osteo Arthritis. Unfortunately, I cannot use toe spreaders due to Edema, unless there are dif. Sizes ...lol
