Don't let any of this distract you from the fact that despite Made in Heaven advancing time to insane speeds, Rohan Kishibe still got his manga in by the fuckin' deadline!
The irony in all of this, is that the whole goal was to come to accept fate. However, DIO and Pucci's fatal weakness was not accepting their own fate to fail.
Dio had an *understanding* of Fate, not absolute knowledge of it. He knew he and the Joestars were destined to have it out, but not certainty of victory. His understanding of Fate is what lead to him not being afraid, because hiss Fate would be the same whether he stresed out about it or if he grandstanded.
I thought 'Gravity' was also the gravity between people and is also linked with fate, KIND OF like the "Stand users attract other stand users" Hazamada said
"Gravity" is fate, but also time. Control gravity like C-Moon and you control time, and with that you manipulate fate as Pucci does in the new universe.
Well yes, since all happens, cuz of gravity, like why DIO SMT Pucci, that was gravity. I think it’s a pretty cool consult and would like someone to go in depth to it
ive always felt so bad for emporio. imagine being the only one to understand everything that had happened, with no one to confide in or understand the terrifying experiences you went through. how you alone, as an 11 year old child, were tasked with saving the world from this very powerful man with the ability to do so many things. emporio likely can't tell anyone else, at least not in a way they would understand or even believe him
see from my understanding of how the ending is Jotaro still fights dio and is able to end the evil as the new world removes pucci's existence. So that's why Jolyne no longer has the jojo name, and while it's over, maybe part 4 & 5 still happen due to residial evil from dio. So Emporio may still be able to have jotaro still be one of the few people to maybe understand what Emporio went through.
@@hazardouz9935 I think the above one is correct Emporio explains everything to jotaro Jotaro thinks this kid is crazy but the details are exactly matching his own memories of Egypt and DIO so he would still believes him Jotaro yare yare daze Emporio there is this guy koichi I respect him very much now I understand that you're a somewhat similar to him Let me give you this advice 1 Don't even think about telling Irene about it she's no joylene But in the end of the day everyone here is happy Irene even without being joylene she's still as kind as joylene was for you In this way you still have most of your friendships intact Enjoy it like that
@@immortaldubs because its not connected to part 6 at all. think of a multiverse with billions of universes. The original jojo universe is on the far left of the multiverse and the sbr universe is somewhere else entirely.
"Polnareff, have you ever considered why humans wish to live? Humans live hoping to conquer their anxieties and fears, and attain *peace of mind.* Seeking fame, controlling others, and acquiring wealth are all done to achieve *peace of mind.* Marriage and friendship are also pursued as a means of attaining *peace of mind.* When humans say they wish to help others, or that a thing is done for love or justice... It's all merely to give themselves *peace of mind.* To achieve *peace of mind* is the goal of all mankind. Now, given that, what anxiety could you possibly feel toward serving me? Any other *peace of mind* will come easily if you do." - DIO - Part 3.
I have to hand it to DIO, the guy is one of the more interesting villains I've come to know. Not only did he want world domination, but the guy had plans and beliefs, unusual for someone who rejected their humanity.
Well, his motivations certainly changed the longer he lived, that’s for sure. Plus a 100 years at the bottom of the sea in a coffin using your ultimate enemy’s body to survive gives you a lot of time to think about your purpose and rethink your personal motives.
"Made in heaven manipulates gravity, making accelerate time and restart the universe with only my stand able (change) fate!" "So it's the same stand as star platinum" "Nani?" "Star platinum, made in heaven!"
@@RoboPowGaming they died, they didn't revive after pucci died nor lived a better life, those are not the main cast, those are other people filling their places
Something that I thought about when seeing the ending again through the anime was that, when Pucci was about to be killed, he begged Emporio to wait until the cycle was complete, then he would accept his defeat. But if that was the case, he wouldn’t have stopped the acceleration briefly in the first place, he just couldn’t accept that the Joestars will and Emporio (the one carrying on that will) would carry over and potentially defeat him in the future of his and Dio’s new universe, and that proved to be his undoing, trying to bend fate to his will one last time.
Exactly, I find it quite funny that Pucci thought to himself: "Hell nah, I need to stop the time acceleration for a moment, this 11 years old kid is too much of a threat to me."
@@marcillefan it’s more like it “unresets” since Pucci didn’t get to compete the reset, but this “unreset universe” didn’t include Pucci since he died prior to its creation
@@marcillefanIts more like an altered reset or "glitchy reset" since the changes in the OG plan caused changes in how the new universe turned out, especially Pucci's death which meant that from that point onward, he could not control how the new universe turned out
@@marcillefanI think the best explanation is that pucci tried to type in the code for a Minecraft seed he wanted, but was stopped before he could type in the final two numbers and they were automatically filled in randomly.
Exactly. In fact, even Dio Brando (part 1) and Kars had "time-related" abilities or fate-altering abilities (in the form of immortality). They rejected their humanity (or pillarmen status? you get the point) to achieve the fate altering ability of immortality, allowing them to supersede their fate of eventual death. DIO's stand in part 3 Literally could stop time so he could alter its flow. Kira got BTD so that he could keep the fate of no one finding out about his identity. Diavolo/KC had the ability to skip time because he could effectively alter fate enough to always keep himself on top. Pucci got MIH to... well the video told you XD. However, it is their obsession with fate and overcoming it that leads to all these characters' downfalls. Dio gets immortality? He gets locked in a coffin and cannot die in there and is left alone for 100 years. Kars can't die? Gets stuck in space and stops thinking. DIO thought he could alter fate with his stand? BOOM Jotaro had the same stand the whole time and defeated him with his own ability- fate literally followed DIO into his "world of stopped time." Kira wanted to live a quiet and peaceful life where he could control everything happening to him? Well, he gets run over by an ambulance (a complete COINCIDENCE that he could not control) and spent an eternity with the hands suffering his worst nightmare and never got to live that quiet life ever again. Diavolo wanted to remain at the top for all eternity? Well, like Ozymandias, King of Kings, he was forced to relive the lowest moment of his life for all eternity (dying)- a cruel sort of immortality. I guess I ranted a lot but Araki really put a lot of effort into intertwining fate into the stories of these villains and how trying to overcome it with brute force rather than with a sense of righteousness and justice will ultimately lead to demise.
@@rishic1030 Epic analysis. I'd like to throw in my hat and point out how, by contrast, none of the protagonists really give a shit about Fate, either changing their own fates or destiny in general. Jonathan, Joseph, Jotaro, Josuke, Giorno and Jolyne, despite being just as capable of big-brain plays as the antagonsits and displaying even more willpower than them, were all content with merely living their normal lives until the JoFoes' plans step on their toes and force their hand - Dio attacking Jonathan's loved ones (and pretty much ruining his entire life), Kars and the Pillar Men threatening the livelihoods of Joseph and all humanity, DIO literally just _existing_ causing Jotaro's mom to fall gravely ill and his defeat and death being the only cure, Kira's murder spree endangering the town Josuke loved and cared for, Diavolo's moral-deprived drug business ruining Giorno's nation (and generally pissing him off), and Pucci using Jolyne and her father as pawns to force the Heaven plan on the entire planet. Even Giorno, who is really the only proactive JoJo, only takes action against Diavolo because Diavolo's intent to run a drug cartel while stepping on anyone disrupting his private life ended up destroying the lives of so many people in Giorno's town. Any one of them were just as capable of trying to challenge fate as the villains, but _didn't_ because, consciously or not, they accept that they, just like everyone else with or without a fantastic spiritual superpower, have no control over what life will throw at them. In fact, the only times the protagonists gain time-altering abilities is only when they're in the climax of the struggle against said time-altering villains, and even then it only happens twice out of the four original Stand-oriented Parts (Jotaro's Star Platinum copying The World and Giorno's Gold Experience evolving into Gold Experience Reqiuem), almost as if the JoJos themselves are Fate's emergency counter force to those foolish/arrogant enough to attempt to cheat and overcome it. This would go hand in hand with Hamon Beat's explanation of why Jolyne's Post-MiH self lacks the JoJo naming convention (Irene) since the defeat of Pucci, the last of those seeking to overcome Fate, means that there is nothing left for her and the Joestar bloodline to counter. Simply put, while there is a clear signature moral gap between the Joestars and the JoFoes, what really separates them is that the JoJos are content and humble enough to live with what they are destined to have and face against, and only take action when a threat appears to assert themselves over the natural order, be it immortality (Dio, Kars), escaping punishment for misdeeds (Kira, Diavolo) or flat-out playing God with reality itself (DIO, Diavolo, Pucci), at which point they do what any hero does when they see wrong-doing and defeat it. Ironically, while all the first six Joestars are idealistic to at least some extent, they're also the ones forcing the villains to truly face reality.
yeah... dios was a desire to rule over the whole world giving him the "ultimate stand" who can act out the heaven plan. kira wanted to change his fate by preventing people from discovering him. hence bites the dust. diavalo is obvious with him thinking his premonitions and time skip made him "chosen by fate"
Can't believe JoJo's original Universe ended 17 years ago and only now we are starting to feel the end get closer and closer... Reading the manga is one thing but seeing it animated it's gonna be brutal man
A lot of people who hate on Stone Ocean don't understand this and it sucks. They're probably the vocal minority, but nonetheless we can all appreciate the ending this universe received.
I'm actually one of those people who dislikes part 6 (even after this video, though it gave me a new respect for the ending and made me hate it a little less). My 3 biggest issues have always been the (seemingly) large amount of plot holes part 6 has, more so than other parts, the fact the Emporio was the one to survive (and the way Jotaro was treated in the ending/his relationship with Jolyne), and the entire plot/backstory of heavy weather. I'd love to hear why you (and others) like part 6 so much. It isn't bad overall, but is imo absolutely, without a doubt, the worst part of Jojo's, and imo even part 1 was better.
@@gyroandhisballs I love Part 6 so much for tons of reasons, but I'll tell you the biggest. 1. I love the characters in Stone Ocean. Jolyne is my favorite JoJo, I love how strong-willed and determined she is to save her father and her friends, and it's insane to see the limits she pushes herself to to get her goals. To me, out of al of the OG Universe Jojo's Jolyne suffered the most, and yet she never lost her will to keep going. I also found Hermes, Anasui, and Weather Report pretty fun as well. 2. I also love part 6 because of Jotaro. We get to see him at his weakest, essentially, and I love that. He's already my favorite Jojo (my number two now after Jolyne), and it was a shock to see that his tough and stoic demanor was pretty much gone in Part 6. Seeing how much he loved Jolyne, and all the times he tried to save her really resonated with me. You could feel how scared he was to lose her, which made the ending all the more tragic. He even made the MOST expressive face to date in the series when he saw that Pucci threw knives at her. 3. The fights in part 6 were INSANE. My favorites were Jailhouse Lock, C-Moon, Green Baby, Underworld and MIH. Jolyne and her friends legit never back down, and I love seeing how determined they are. 4. Lastly, part 6 is my favorite because of the ending. It's sad, and literally made me sad for about a week after I read it. But it's also the best possible ending for the Jojo's, and I got the vibe that they all finally managed to overcome their family curse of fighting against evil and truly got to live normal lives. I've seen a lot of people hate the fact that everyone "died" in the end, but I actually think that's what makes it special. TBH, EVERYONE dies, and every good thing has to come to an end. It's very bittersweet.
isaiah.exe what is to hate about how jotaro was treated ? His last entire relationship with jolyne made absolute sense he had to leave his family because he didn’t want them to be in danger he always cared for them thats why he wasn’t present, at the end of the part we see that jotaro really cared about his daughter and preferred saving her than having a better chance to kill pucci showing us how much he cares about her, then after pucci died and the universe reset without him jolyne and jotaro have a healthy relationship whats to hate
Damn, dude. You're next level at explaining things so clearly. I understood some of the concepts behind attaining Heaven, but never fully understood the idea behind the words that needed to be inscribed into one's soul using the Green Baby. The idea of Heaven is almost never talked about within the Jojo community probably because the casual Jojo reader doesn't dig as deeply as you do.
My theory is that Dio, thinking that his fate was to conquer and rule the world, planned all of this so that the world would accept that reality. There would be no resistance and no hope for humanity, just acceptance of Dio's permanent reign.
Part 6 is by far the most complex and interesting thing Araki has ever written. The depth to complete this ritual and the character motivations are *literally* the penultimate event in this universe. I'm so glad the anime is good.
@@lordraiden7397 Well like everything, it's subjective. I love part 6 and 7 but I can understand what people criticize all the parts for tbh. I'm still not sure how I feel about Jojolion.
This video shows the beauty of Part 6's plot. I already understood most of the concepts shown in this video before watching it, but I wouldn't be able to make a video such as this explaining it. Thanks for the great work, man.
This is why I think that Stone Ocean has such a good ending. It's a perfect conclusion to have the Joestar bloodline break free from the curse of fighting Dio and the evil he has caused. I wish more people understood this, it's a much happier and satisfying ending than people give credit.
Then, you see these weird "people", in the shape of characters of a comic book, except this time, they're third dimensional. Out of curiosity, you approach them. All of a sudden, they start singing *_OINGO BOINGO BROTHAAAZZZ_*
To be completely honest, after finishing stone ocean manga I couldn't help but feel upset for the universe ending this way, but as you mentioned, the characters' future is now free of battling DIO and his consequenses, which makes fate free to change and this, as I see it now, is the true definition of heaven
I'm glad you brought up the Nijimura Father, since there's an interesting observation to be had with his transformation: He turned into a (colored green in the manga/anime) weird monster thanks to DIO's cells and the fleshbud being implanted in him. This led to his cells being corrupted and turning into a smaller, greener and stubbier creature afterwards with the power of regenerating himself. ....Sounds familiar? This description fits the Green Baby somewhat, born out of *DIO's Bone* (or his cells), while the regenerative power could come from the will of DIO for a stand to resurrect his dead body. Perhaps the fleshbuds are another step from the Heaven plan? Since they turned the Nijimura Father into something really similar to the Green Baby, born from DIO's DNA. I don't really have a theory to go along, but it's a neat observation. Great video, by the way!

JOTARO AND HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY AIN'T THAT NEATO? Pucci and Diavolo thousands of miles away: *_I feel a disturbance in the Force._*
Pucci by far was one of the most terrifying villains. He wasn’t consumed by world domination, gaining the ultimate power, or having a “quiet life.” In his mind, what he is doing is selfless, and he genuinely believes what he is doing is right. He is as determined as the Joestar bloodline, often times calm, cool and collected- it was so wild to see a villain who was constantly one or two steps ahead of Joylene and the crew, and a first to see a villain make even Jotaro panic. Easily one of my favorite villains in general of all time.
He was literally just lucky (or "fate"). He wasn't ahead of them, Pucci even admits to it. It only worked out because Araki wanted it to work out despite at least 10 times they could have/should have killed him.
I want to thank you for actually explaining the Heaven plan a lot better and because of that it makes me like Part 6 more. Like many Jojo fans I sawPart 6 as Araki just killing off the old universe so he could move on to Steel Ball Run, but in reality, there is a lot more to it then I thought and showed that Part 6 was the perfect ending for the Original Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
I love how Dio and Pucci intended to be the good guys, giving everyone peace in mind about their futures and all, but they failed to consider the lives of the absolute least fortunate. The people who become homeless drug addicts, the people who are raped and murdered, the people who are ostracized by their communities, the people who are abused, etc. So many people whom fate has dealt a bad hand, and are never given so much as an opportunity to improve. Those people will never view a life where they're fully aware of their fate as "heaven." That's hell to them. Knowing that all your dreams, aspirations, and skills won't ever amount to shit can only be hell. If Pucci won, he would've dragged not just heaven down to earth, but raised hell as well.
Im a speed reader yet part 6 got so many tears in my eyesocket. Honestly i think the current part 6 ending is the best. Everything manage to come to an end and everybody live like how their normal lives are. Some fanmade giorno ending is kinda cool, but it would have cause some cringy family dynamic isnt it....?
I read fast (is that what speed readers means?) and i understood fully that he created a new universe but i didn't understand the whole fate and heaven concept. the main reason I didn't like the ending is because I thought it would be one of those mindfucks where the events repeat over and over again and that made me feel bad for the protagonists
The ting that was really funny to me about Pucci's defeat was that he only lost because Made In Heaven accelerates time and he would have won if he still ad C-Moon or White Snake. Which pretty much means he became so powerful that he accidently developed a weakness to something that wouldn't have been a problem for him earler.
Hamon Beat is probably the single person I've seen on the internet whose love for JoJo lore has allowed him to attain the Truth of each part, and in turn, share it with the world.
What a fantastic video. People are often confused by Stone Ocean's ending and the Heaven Plan. The Heaven Plan can be a bit high-concept, so I understand why people can be confused. Hopefully, this does reach those confused people and betters their understanding
The only unclear part to me was the second reboot after Pucci death. That was left implied and not explained in detail, it's also unexpected so I think it's understandable to be confused. Especially when you start part 7 (without reading theories online) and wonder if it's the same universe.
@@42LMS I'll just put this out here as proof before it comes out, part 6 is my favourite manga part and probably will be my new favourite anime part when it comes out (right now it's part 5)
Honestly this is a contender for my favorite villain plan in the series, its so complex, interesting and pays off on the themes of the series as a whole up until that point, I may not rank part 6 all that high but this is the standout aspect of it
Before watching your channel I thought JoJo was awesome. After watching your videos and rereading parts 1-6, I've realized it's actually brilliant. One of the greatest pieces of art and fiction ever created.
As much as I love philosophical part 6 DIO, let’s be real, DIO would have never turned off Made in Heaven’s ability, and would have just left himself as a literal god, able to bend fate to his will. That’s a part of DIO’s personality he was hiding from Pucci, as he was so good at doing.
It's funny how Dio in part 3 was portrayed as such a genocidal maniac but part 6 Dio is a literal philosopher by creating his own concepts and theories. Maybe spending 100 years in a coffin made him do nothing but think, can change a person huh lol
DIO in Stone Ocean: I shall give everyone in the world a peace of mind, for I have suffered since childhood and understand that fate is unchangeable. Understanding gravity and time is crucial as the world must be recreated from the singularity in order for people to already know their fate. If the Joestars get in my path to heaven, I shall eliminate them. DIO in Eyes of Heaven: lmao my punches overwrite reality
I'm guessing DIO Overheaven's plan is to give every universe. "Heaven" mentioned in the video. since his stand evolved to rewrite reality. and he could have used that power to rewrite his/other universes to that state of "Heaven" he discovered there more Universes thanks to Funny Valentine. and discovered the Corpse Parts in the SBR Universe. and planned to use the Corpse Part to aid on Rewriting the Multiverse or Omniverse...depends how big the Universes of Jojo are
@@azurpixel except he appears to have been drunk in power unlike the dio in stone ocean. The dio in stone ocean almost appear to be a different person entirely, he respects pucci and also have a noble goal unlike in eyes of heaven where his main goal is to dominate humans.
Funnily enough, Araki was 100% correct: Gravity and Time DO have a very intimate relationship. There's scientific documentaries on the subject. It blows my mind just how intelligent Araki is and creative to add the concept of fate into it for a story.
the space-time concept actually is something quite easy to grasp on... Araki of course was 'correct' because that correlation was one of Einstein's most famous theories and it was a widely known fact long before he started working on Stone Ocean. what's actually impressive is his creative genious to grab this scientific concept and apply it to his manga
@@marcelo.pastorelli yes but keep in mind that during the making of part 6 the internet was pretty much in it’s infant stage so the man had to SPECIFICALLY look and reach out for this knowledge. That amount of effort just for his manga is admirable
This video seriously helped me understand the end, and helped me appreciate the Heaven Plan more. I originally felt the ending "didn't feel like jojo" but this video helps fix that.
Nah, this video is just a lot of ***pulls and rewriting. Case in point: Dio wanted a stand close to Jotaro... Jotaro didn't live in Morioh, Jotaro didn't have a stand, Dio quite literally never even met Joseph, saxophone, or Jotaro. Jotaro developed his stand and beat Dio within 1 month of becoming plot relevant.
@@Communitychannel2001 The video says Dio chose Japan to test stand users to be close to Jotaro. This is before Jotaro even had a stand, it makes 0 sense and is just bs.
Just finished the anime and came here to understand, a beautiful ending in a way, but undeniably melancholic, i can see why people would dislike it, its not too far off from "it was all a dream" esque endings, although far superior in writing of course
I think the most genius part of connecting fate to gravity is the concept of gravitational potential energy. The higher you go working against gravity the more potential energy you have. Therefore, by working against fate you are giving fate more energy to work against you. This is what happened to Diavolo. He used his stand to make himself immune to fate thereby increasing his ‘gravitational potential energy’ and causing fate to come down even harder on his defeat by Giorno
That explains a lot of sense. If we use the Flow and Calamity concept from the SBR universe, in a sense, all the stored calamity strikes Diavolo hard. But if changing fate is also fated, then why does fate cause all the evil? Does fate control how people are born and their souls character? Does fate allow the universe rest to begin with? While I understand fate in Jojo, I wonder they allow tragedy to happen. It reminds me of a character from Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2, Kriea. Who wishes to destroy the Force who she feels manipulate tragedy in the galaxy. She found this concept with the existance of The Exile, who had cut her connection to the Force and yet live. Still fate in Jojo is more benvelonet like The Force Star Wars compared to other stories fate like all those old cartoons. I just wish they communicate better, otherwise they feel like The Emperor from TTS.
I just realized: the fate-time-gravity connection existed even in Part 3. When DIO stopped time, gravity no longer affected him or anything he manipulated, hence why he essentially walked over to Kakyoin despite being on a different rooftop, and why he had to punch the road roller to make it come down on Jotaro. Also, the knives he throws in stopped time don’t arc downwards until time moves again. Time had stopped, therefore, so too had gravity.
When you think about it, jotaro unintentionally caused made in heaven because he read the diary, if he just burned it without taking a peek even if Pucci pursues him and gets his memory’s he won’t see inside the diary , then all jolyne and the gang need to do is retrieve jotaros disc’s or pucci will just do something with them because they would be useless.
I think this video really demonstrates the importance of your `debunking Araki forgot´ series, because the meme that Araki is a sloppy writer who has no throughline for his stories is very much a myth. This video shows that there are thematic throughlines that are consistently build upon throughout the series that are often missed because of these myths.
@@somniloguy12 I think Hamon Beat is too forgiving towards Araki at times, because in his video"actual Araki forgot moments" are at the very best minor plot holes. Like poleref having a full hand in part 6, in some panels, instead of having a few fingers missing. Jojo is a good story, there's def alot more issues than the minor stuff like character design details in a story. I'd talk about them here but I'd haven't finished the series of him debunking it yet before I say anything about that.
Coming from a person who isn't too fond of talking about the negative aspects of the future, the concept of heaven in jojo's absolutely terrifies me. Like I'm just drawing one moment and then the shit in made in heaven happens and I'm back drawing just fine, but I know if I'm going to be accepted in my dream school and get my dream job, while also knowing which one of my parents dies first and how. . . damn that's horrifying
The whole point is that you know about it. It's already going to happen regardless or not you know it In the game Eyes of Heaven, it is a what if DIO didn't die in part 3, completed the process of achieving Heaven. From there he(and Pucci, with many of his other followers) go into other worlds. From there he changes fate to fit him and eventually becomes a god, or more specifically, master of Fate
I wonder if all along what Dio wanted was to be in Pucci's shoes at the end - creating a universe in which he was the only one free of fate's shackles while everyone else is made to accept theirs. Would make sense for a manipulative character like him.
Holy cow, I never thought about that. I always thought it was kind of weird that Dio was apparently willing and wanting to lower himself to the state of everyone else - that is, experiencing life with fore-knowledge of all that will happen to it with no ability to change it - considering how much we've seen him love to order everyone else around beneath him. Hamon Beat's theory that Dio's chaotic youth may be a motivation for this, but it's also been a consistent theme that Dio's always wanted to rise _above_ the human race that put him through this chaotic life to begin with; not to experience life with everyone, but to rule and stand above them (he literally even says after he thought he killed Jotaro that he's rule the entire world). It might make sense for Pucci, who was more of a follower than an actual leader himself, to want this equal living treatment... but not the tyrannical, narcissistic Dio Brando. Reading this, it makes far more sense that Dio actually wanted to be the only one free of Fate's chains while being able to force literally everyone else to live under Fate's (AKA his own) shackles. This even fits in with his "heaven" philosophy about peace of mind; what better way for an arrogant tyrant to achieve eternal peace of mind than being the only one in the universe to possess literal absolute authority over the cosmic forces of Fate itself while everyone else remains in its (and therefore, his own) eternal thrall?
Well, he probably got all the fate stuff from Enya, all the stuff with the Green baby is just basic alchemy, and the Time Gravity stuff is normal Science. Toss em all together and BOOM.. Heaven plan created
How, how do people forget things that are written in the manga, its indeed mentioned so how is it forgotten. Maybe its because when people remember jojo parts the think of the memes.
A lot of people speed read through Stone Ocean to get to Steel Ball Run because they hear it's really good from their friends. Fortunately I read through with no knowledge of what came next when I started getting into Jojo, so I avoided that mindset. Some others didn't even read it properly at all, and base all of their understanding on summaries made by others and screenshot images of individual pages and panels online. These are the people who make the most idiotic statements of all, because they say things that are easily debunked by even so much as a single page explaining how something works or how it happened.
Worst of all, the speed readers nowadays have the colored scans that they think back to which skimps on much of Araki's character-detailing + using the same beige, gray & brown background colors throughout the Part. So they jump to say the art sucks too, as if all this nitpicking wasn't enough
I speed read and loved it lmao you guys goofy. JoJo’s great just have fun. *buuuut* I do have to say that stone ocean probably had my least favorite art outside of the first two parts. anyway the anime did Giorno dirty bye bye
Basically dio is absorbing the souls of sinners who have stronger mentality to evolve his stand,But to achieve heaven he needs to NOT have desire for fame, money or sex, hence why he count do it,Thats where the green Baby come in,with being basically dio reincarnated But with his ego being pratically at point zero means pucci keeps control during the fusion, meaning made in heaven is now possible
@@ihatealmosteverythingequal820 its a possibility that pucci doesn't even exist in this alternate universe and even if they found pucci he would just start doing it again right?
This is so cool. JoJo has always pretty bizarre (get it?) and difficult to understand, but this is the best summary to describe one of the most (seemingly) random sequence of events in the entirety of the series with perfect logic regarding our knowledge of the world and how it's driving forces operate. This is one of the best videos of definitely the best channel that dedicates time to JoJo. Thank you.
It's pretty crazy how this statement of "stand users attract other stand users" was elaborated on throughout the years. You had part 3 where I honestly thought it was a Monster Of The Week phenomena and then in part 6 Pucci has a stand that literally pulls things together with gravity. I also found out that both Phantom Blood and Stone Ocean both end on bittersweet notes, with the former ending with Jonathan dying and the latter with Emporio being the only one who knew what went down in the previous universe.
You're giving Araki too much credit lol. He tends to forget and change things in the middle of a single chapter, so any coincidence you find probably is just that, a coincidence.
@@HollowPurple-if2co what does that even mean? Just for the sake of argument, i can mention from the top of my head 2 times Araki setup something, just to not follow through: part 4, Josuke's savior in the past, was supposed to be himself, and part 6, Anasui was supposed to be a woman. Both cases that just serves to show that Araki makes stuff up as he goes, and i'm sure there's much more examples of that.
Imagine similar videos breaking down the core plot points of the other parts, like why Giorno wants to be a mob boss, or why having a serial killer in your city is bad.
@@sirmalkolm I'm pretty sure that when the anime airs, they will be signing a petition to change the ending. To something they liked e.g You getting killed by Jotaro.
@@elishatan6841 They can't do that. It won't happen. That's like changing Jonathan's death or even Kira's death that would be so stupid that I'd reset the universe again.
There's a minor indication that he was simply fated to die and his new godhood prevented that, so the earth got rid of him instead. "There was nothing left on earth that could destroy him, so the earth banished Kars into the vacuum of space!" If fate operates like gravity with a 'what goes up must come down' mentality towards defying fate, you could say Kars ultimately escaped fate and earth's gravity altogether.
Yes to all, the very name of the lineage "joeSTAR" lines up with the conpect of the "leading star" as the guide of life or destination, of course the destination to defeat Dio. But you can see the concept evolving from the "very good luck" of the joestar lineage to the joseph guessing lines of his oponents during battle tendency. Great video!

I went into Jojo blind, and didn't join the online community until catching up with Part 8. For proof I actually liked Part 1 a lot. However, I feel that Part 6 is mundane even when no one tells you to like it or not. It just makes every element of story take a backseat for the stands. Even characters. Which is bad since Araki is equal in his skill at writing characters and stands. Part 6 has its highlights in Foo Fighters, Jolyne, and Sorta Pucci. On top of that its Climax is pretty stellar. But it just drags and a majority of the minor antagonists are some of the most hollow and forgettable in the series. It certainly is a step down from Part 5. I (personally) even think its worse than Part 1. But that's debatable from a Writing Quality perspective.
The ending a bit rushed tho, that is the reason why part 6 is my least favourite,if dp manage to make stone ocean adaptation properly like they did to part 5,im going to change my mind about it
If the bone that DIO gave to Pucci was before he absorbed Joseph blood, does that mean that the Green Baby is a homunculus of both DIO and Jonathan and not just DIO?
That's why Part 6 is my favorite, it closes beautifully and ushers a vastly different part that will have different tones and ideologies but still feel JoJo.
the "there is no longer a need for this conflict" is correct because the next parts 7 and 8 take place in AU's so technically the original jojo universe has been eradicated of evil and its just cool to me how Araki didnt ever forget that the Jojos bizarre adventure from part 1-6 is complete
I read Stone Ocean awhile ago, and it was one of my favorite parts but I couldn't put as my favorite cause the plot seemed really complicated. I understood it at a surface level, enough to read and enjoy it, but after this? Part 6 is my new favorite.
I wish Pucci completed the universe reset so I would've known my destiny of eventually joining the JoJo fandom and I would've come to terms with its toxicity and lack of intelligence.
This makes this part mean a lot more to me, I could only imagine a world in which I knew I died on some certain day. I’d know what I would have to do over my life and have control of my day to day. No anxiety, just drifting knowing I will get there.
Oh, yeah! When Jolene becomes Irene, her name no longer fits into the Jojo naming convention: because in this timeline she isn’t burdened with the Joestar conflict anymore. Clever!
I love how everything is so interconnected in JoJo. I never thought about all of the plot points in conjunction.

They always thought they would win but if they didn't think about that outcome maybe they could have suceed since they got prepared .
I mean dio & pucci believe they will win
That statement is a lot less profound than you think it is. A lot more stupid too
Dio had an *understanding* of Fate, not absolute knowledge of it. He knew he and the Joestars were destined to have it out, but not certainty of victory. His understanding of Fate is what lead to him not being afraid, because hiss Fate would be the same whether he stresed out about it or if he grandstanded.
I thought 'Gravity' was also the gravity between people and is also linked with fate, KIND OF like the "Stand users attract other stand users" Hazamada said

see from my understanding of how the ending is Jotaro still fights dio and is able to end the evil as the new world removes pucci's existence. So that's why Jolyne no longer has the jojo name, and while it's over, maybe part 4 & 5 still happen due to residial evil from dio. @@megamanxz-fb7oz that ending was confusing. yeah those are completely new characters in their place, kinda sad
Exactly, I find it quite funny that Pucci thought to himself: "Hell nah, I need to stop the time acceleration for a moment, this 11 years old kid is too much of a threat to me."
sorry for asking but how does the universe reset again after pucci dies?
So the reason all main antagonist in parts 3-6 have time-related Stands could be because of a strong wish to alter fate.

@@gyroandhisballs
Which plot holes in particular?
I understood stone ocean and re read it but it just never clicked for me.
isaiah.exe what is to hate about how jotaro was treated ?
I'm glad you brought up the Nijimura Father, since there's an interesting observation to be had with his transformation:
He turned into a (colored green in the manga/anime) weird monster thanks to DIO's cells and the fleshbud being implanted in him.

Richard V Lionerheart that’s not the point of what I was saying
I love how Dio and Pucci intended to be the good guys, giving everyone peace in mind about their futures and all, but they failed to consider the lives of the absolute least fortunate.
The people who become homeless drug addicts, the people who are raped and murdered, the people who are ostracized by their communities, the people who are abused, etc.
So many people whom fate has dealt a bad hand, and are never given so much as an opportunity to improve.
Those people will never view a life where they're fully aware of their fate as "heaven."
That's hell to them.
Knowing that all your dreams, aspirations, and skills won't ever amount to shit can only be hell.
If Pucci won, he would've dragged not just heaven down to earth, but raised hell as well.

Funnily enough, Araki was 100% correct: Gravity and Time DO have a very intimate relationship. There's scientific documentaries on the subject. It blows my mind just how intelligent Araki is and creative to add the concept of fate into it for a story.
C-Moon: Gravity manipulating Stand
*evolves to*
Made in Heaven: Time manipulating Stand
the space-time concept actually is something quite easy to grasp on... Araki of course was 'correct' because that correlation was one of Einstein's most famous theories and it was a widely known fact long before he started working on Stone Ocean.

Dio : a law graduate
Also Dio : Study Physics to attain Heaven
I just realized: the fate-time-gravity connection existed even in Part 3. When DIO stopped time, gravity no longer affected him or anything he manipulated, hence why he essentially walked over to Kakyoin despite being on a different rooftop, and why he had to punch the road roller to make it come down on Jotaro. Also, the knives he throws in stopped time don’t arc downwards until time moves again. Time had stopped, therefore, so too had gravity.
"Humanity's only desire is to attain peace of mind. Wealth, power, relationships, all towards that single goal." - DIO
Mankind seeks for what only God can give, but they seek it in anywhere except in God
