To be fair, it's easily countered if an enemy just avoids the rain. If someone like Jotaro, Polnareff or Bruno just had an umbrella, the user would be bodied. Or if the enemy doesn't experience an emotion that hinders them for the rain to lock on (i.e. Fugo was only locked because he happened to accidentally trip), so if someone with a decently-strong Stand just walks up to the user and maintains the intent to defeat him/her, there's nothing the user can do.

Again are you joking or did you confuse it with touch the rainbow because he doesn't need it to be raining, he can summon it. The fact that you're saying all this when it mentions in the book that diavolo himself is spooked of it, since he didn't even intimidate the guy he just struck a deal with him. It's not a hand to hand stand, it's a stealth one. The only real weakness is that you can break free from the effects by experience a much more intense feeling than you're getting locked to. Also it doesn't have to be a basic feeling, literally any feeling no matter how complex, he actually locked the feeling of "not being able to beat him" and the girl was never able to even hit him even so he was standing still and she only thought of it for a second.
The fact that some guy swam underwater to touch a f**king mine in less then 3 hours before fighting jojo is one of the most bizzare things in the series
Is either A) He prepared in advance touching the mine, which while useful gives him a 3 hour limit to use it or B) He fought them, escaped and decided to go to a mine to have his revenge. Either way I think is fair to assume that he knew beforehand where that mine was and other dangerous things
From the main series we also the stand of Part 8 Holly. She is able to see stands and knows what they are, implying that she is a stand user but her ability is never shown
Joy Division definitely was obscure enough to be very interesting to check out more. Very nifty stand ability. Also Jorge Joestar sounds really really cool i like the idea of movie and show names as well as the different stands and adaptable abilities.
2:32 People think a non-living thing can't have a stand, but that rule has never been established. People can't believe that Jonathan's corpse could have a stand, but at the same time don't wonder how Superfly exists. The tower is an inanimate object, which is not alive, just like Jonathan's corpse.
I mean, sure, but it's not like this is a regular occurrence either, since Dio is a vampire, and in part one he was even able to zombify age old people like Bruford and Tarkus. Damaging the brain (although, in this case it'd actually be Dio's) sufficiently does the trick well enough, but they did even make the point of dusting him afterwards anyway. I could see Dio taking over Jonathan's body, shortly after death at that, as forcing the soul to linger in the body thanks to his immortality. Dio may be undead but he himself is still quite alive.

Remote Romance is not only one of the coolest looking stands ever, but it's such a amazing way to integrate technology and stand abilities. Making a whole explanation to ground the idea of watching a live stream of a galery and controlling a camera through the lens of a JoJo stand is brilliant.
At the beginning of this video, it was mentioned that the main series has about 150 stands. I would be interested in a video that counts how many stands exist that were either created by or officially acknowledged by Araki, such as through artwork or through appearing in media that Araki helped work on.
The fact that araki goes out of his way to creat non canon stands for other media is why he’s probably my favourite mangaka. Brilliant video as always 💙
Everyone is just saying "oh yeah this stand exist" or "I love this stand" but did anybody notice that at 18:43 he talked about a translation of lisa lisa rey Infinito. Where did he find that?? I don't care if it's not perfect I want to see it!
Araki making the Stand Love Note unintentionally sounds like he's roasting Shoko because apparently the two married people in the story might kill each other to escape their forced relationship 💀
I believe that Jonathan’s stand is always being used throughout the road to Egypt. That’s how DIO always knows where to send his subordinates and whose power is best for the situation
If this video is the first time anyone has heard of Shokotan, I highly recommend taking a look at her Wikipedia article; it's a very interesting read. To give a short summary: imagine what a 4chan user would decide to do with their life if they were reincarnated as a beautiful and talented asian woman and you probably won't be too far off. My personal favorite fun fact about her is that she has her own Pokémon trading card, which means it's actually possible to have the girl who once ranted on television about how much she wanted Jotarou to spit on her on your team in a Pokémon game.
I really wish Fujiko became an ally. Bad Romance has so much untapped potential. Like if you portray someone in a sympathetic light, do they become a better person?
17:37 and 18:48 I like that idea. An alternate universe where Araki named his stands after TV shows/movies or books. Is there a rule that states your stand has to be named after music? If I had the talent I would write a fanfic where the stands were named after videos games like Strange Journey or Code Vein.
There are a lot of musical references for this spin offs, i think it's a good idea to do a video about this just like u did with every part of the main series
One of those Stands sounded very similar to a concept from the Elder Scrolls series called Chim. Essentially, the Elder Scrolls series takes place within a dream of an all powerful godhead that is above every other deity in the universe and to achieve Chim, a person has to not only realize that they are simply a figment of this Godhead's imagination but also have enough of an ego to still consider themselves real. This essentially makes the person a lucid dreamer within the Godhead's dream, granting them the ability to warp reality as they see fit like how a lucid dreamer could control their own dream. I honestly find it cool that Jojo also has a similar concept as its interesting to consider what a fictional character could do once they realize they aren't real. Considering what a lot of 4th Wall Breakers tend to be capable of, like Bugs or Daffy altering the world around them by drawing or John Byrne's She-Hulk being able to move between panels and even an instance where a super hero used his 4th wall awareness to look through a panel to find his villain...4th wall awareness can get pretty broken.
My favorite 4th wall breaking thing is from the Doom Patrol tv series character called Mister Nobody. He's the narrator of the show and can control everything in it that way, he's also the villain and wants the show to be cancelled. There's a moment when he pauses the show because "they maneged to end the world and I haven't been a part it for two episodes!"
The cool thing about Dolly Dagger is that the way it's user attacks is that he stabs himself first and then stabs another person, increasing that damage by 70%
@@ondururagittandeska2004 I mean clearly not much at least but they mean as though he has the stand of when you can't find something, only for someone to do then so immediately when there was CLEARLY nothing in there and they must've had it on them all along and just wanted to make you look bad from the start Or, y'know, something like that

Wow, I've learned a lot from this video. One of those things is that Gurren Lagann is pronounced gur • uhn laa • gn I pronounced it as: gur • en luh • gahn Or something like that.
I think there are way weirder more specific stands. Fun Fun Fun, Gucci Bag Stand, Les Feuilles, Dragon's Dream. But i agree Survivor is cool and one of my fave part 6 fights
I knew about all the light novel ones and most of the special event ones but drama CD’s are always just impossibly hard to find information about so that’s about the only truly original stand I was surprised by. Incredible video. I’d love to see something on Jorge, that book is RIDICULOUS.
Remote Romance and Jojosapiens I feel might apply for the most obscure since they're tied to very temporary events compared to other types of media This was an interesting romp, I think I'd have also included the Scan ability for Gyro (or the guardian of the Saint Corpse's eyeballs) since despite appearing in the main story, the Stand form of Scan appears very briefly like Jonathan's Stand
I absolutely adore Remote Romance. Visually it's imo easily one of the most iconic and stylish Stand designs in the franchise, which is just ridiculous, considering it was essentially just a one-off gimmick for an art exhibition 10 years ago. And it's ability is exactly the kind of weirdly specific, yet undeniably useful thing you want out of a Stand.
my favorite obscure stand is called Legs, its a common stand inhabiting all bipedal creatures that creates super buff mutated arms for the sake of efficient locomotion. its weakness is that it causes babies to be born prematurely
Or the guy in SBR who is never shown and neither is his stand. It's just a panel showing someone with their guts out while Mountain Tim explains that one time an emerald prospector mysteriously killed someone and then himself.
As a big rock fan, it's really cool to see rock bands/songs referenced through Stands both in the main series and spinoff series, including some of my favorites such as Joy Division, The Cure, Aerosmith, etc. Can't wait to see the new Stands in Part 9 and what they'll reference in terms of music. Hopefully, we get more rock references, like for example, I haven't seen a single Elton John song referenced yet in the series, so a new Stand called Rocket Man or Crocodile Rock would be awesome.
The audio drama is one of my favorite pieces of obscure Jojo media, because Dio was voiced by Norio Wakamoto, seiyuu of (amongst others) Cell from Dragon Ball.
Personally I would say it's Tenor Sax, purely for the fact that despite being in the most well-known part, despite clearly being shown on-screen, despite being Iggy's last confirmed kill, despite that happening right before Avdol's death, I still somehow completely forget about him every single time I come back to Stardust Crusaders because he's just that forgettable.
Yooo, I'm doing a version of the beyonds in the rp I'm running. I'm so happy to see other pieces of media doing it! I never knew about beyonds until I watched this video today
Shoko related stands are fucking terrifying The context of their creation is even more I mean WHAT THE FUCK, A STAND TO MAKE A FICTIONAL CHARACTER DON'T HAVE AN AFFAIR , BETRAING A REAL PERSON
Not to mention she literally said that she "wants to get ORA ORA'd by Jotaro". I mean, respect to her for not being afraid to say what she wants, and I get that Jotaro is a good choice for a fan favorite, but uh... even for JoJo, this is pretty damn bizarre.
There is actually another series of Obscure stands that i don't think was covered in the video. There's this RPG Maker game called 7th Stand user, which features the protagonist having a chance to get 1 of 12 stands, all done by Avdol giving a personality test to the player. The stands vary from a bunch of bugs that eats away anything it comes in contact to a pen that can create bombs out of the letters it writes. Give it a look if you have the time
I like how, purple haze feedback, has many stands that like Fugo's stand Purple Haze, they are named after Jimi Hendrix song, just a nice little detail.
I personally think that the reason Okayasu’s dad survived albeit horribly mutated is because of his stand, which would also explain why we’ve never seen it! Also, if you could design your own JoJo series, what would it be about and what kinds of characters and stands would it involve. I have my own idea though I’ll only go into detail if interested!
I really wish we got a part about the invisible baby, her being an adopted joe star and another female Jojo. Her being a spoiled brat who could use invincibility to cause trouble or learn to harness her power. It’d be fun
An interesting thing with the Gucci bag stand thing is that it likely implies one of two things: A: An artisan with the ability to imbue object with stand abilities through mystical means (like Dio's heaven ritual, and other such things we don't fully understand about stands) B: An artisan with the ability to "enchant" objects using his own stand ability. This seemingly permanent, fluid, and creative ability is pretty unique within JoJo's. And the idea of infusing inanimate objects with stand abilities of their own is like a weird variation of the DISCs. I wonder how it's done...?
"This Josuke Higashikata depicted here is not the same character as the one from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. He will never be seen again." made me laugh a lot harder then it should, and it should really be a meme. I think it definitely illustrates Araki is taking JJBA a lot less seriously then some people in the fandom do, and god bless him for it. Also the extra stands from the part 3 light novel is pretty interesting in that Part 3 has to be the tightest timeline in the original series continuity right? When do they even have the time to introduce new stand battles considering the time limit is so integral to that parts story? Other parts have arcs with a pretty tight time limit but Part 3 it's just baked into the very structure of the story so I'm super curious where in the timeline those extra battles occur.

@@garou9914 Bruh it's literally a rainstorm, lot of people nowadays are prepped with umbrellas and raincoats, along with plenty of buildings and roofs to hide under. You act like the fight can only happen in an open wasteland, nope. Also yeah, the guy DOES need to show up because Rainy Day Dream Away cannot kill people by itself (just like how Chocolate Disco needs the user to carry nails and acid to actually be useful), the guy is gonna need weapons which is easily countered by Stands like Sticky Fingers or Gold Experience.
@@mrreyes5004 bro did you read the book? Like did you read it? Are suggesting that the one he's facing feels nothing negative? Are you joking or what? The slightest feeling can be locked even if it's a split second, he doesn't have to get close hell he could just use a sniper, also are you suggesting they're always carry an umbrella?
Remote Romance is so cool, I hope it gets used again for another event or maybe even appear in something like a TSKR chapter
The fact that some guy swam underwater to touch a f**king mine in less then 3 hours before fighting jojo is one of the most bizzare things in the series
it's been a year but bro I had the same thought does he touch a mine every 3 hours?
Is either A) He prepared in advance touching the mine, which while useful gives him a 3 hour limit to use it or B) He fought them, escaped and decided to go to a mine to have his revenge. Either way I think is fair to assume that he knew beforehand where that mine was and other dangerous things
The fact that petshop had a “brother” is pretty scary to think about, considering petshop is already a terrifyingly overpowered bird
It never had a brother
It had a parrot what was trained beides of him pet Sound
@@miimiibeschde4818 thats why brother is in quotation marks
Petshop’s offense combined with Pet Sounds controlling people’s movements seems like an instant win button
From the main series we also the stand of Part 8 Holly. She is able to see stands and knows what they are, implying that she is a stand user but her ability is never shown
Thank you very much for mentioning Stand User's Stand. I'm glad my favorite stand is finally getting some recognition.
A Milagro Man - Gucci bag combo would be really deadly.
It would either be infinite good luck, or the good luck would just allow you to escape from Milagro Man
Joy Division definitely was obscure enough to be very interesting to check out more. Very nifty stand ability. Also Jorge Joestar sounds really really cool i like the idea of movie and show names as well as the different stands and adaptable abilities.
I like public image limited and the cure from golden heart golden ring
It's like Schott Key No. 1 but better.
"I always fantasize about getting ORA ORA'ed by him. I even drew a picture."
"Literally, right?"
...
*"Literally, right?"*
Remote Romance will always be the best obscure stand, that design is just flawless
I still say that Joseph doesn't HAVE to destroy the camera to use Spirit Photography with Hermit Purple. He's just a brute and an airhead.

People think a non-living thing can't have a stand, but that rule has never been established. People can't believe that Jonathan's corpse could have a stand, but at the same time don't wonder how Superfly exists. The tower is an inanimate object, which is not alive, just like Jonathan's corpse.
superfly is the tower man stand. he said he got shot by the arrow
a better example for this joke is sugar mountain
I just assumed it was a bound stand that lived after its user died.
Shakedown Road in Jojolion. It's a neighborhood that has its own stand
@@emperorcringe-son4023 Sugar Mountain is technically the stand of the tree, and I mean it is alive
the stand actually terrified me the most was mew mew's stand from part six, i forgot the name but it's the one where you can memorize only three things at a time, what makes it worse is that you still retain your memories before you were attacked prior
Jail House Lock

Remote Romance is not only one of the coolest looking stands ever, but it's such a amazing way to integrate technology and stand abilities. Making a whole explanation to ground the idea of watching a live stream of a galery and controlling a camera through the lens of a JoJo stand is brilliant.
At the beginning of this video, it was mentioned that the main series has about 150 stands.
I would be interested in a video that counts how many stands exist that were either created by or officially acknowledged by Araki, such as through artwork or through appearing in media that Araki helped work on.
10:13 "Crazy Diamond can you fix my marriage?"
Heck yeah!
The fact that araki goes out of his way to creat non canon stands for other media is why he’s probably my favourite mangaka. Brilliant video as always 💙
I wish Remote Romance was canon, such a cool stand
Me too mate
Oh God the thumbnail lmao. The Love Note... that interview sure was something
Anasui has some competition
17:37 and 18:48 I like that idea.
An alternate universe where Araki named his stands after TV shows/movies or books.
Is there a rule that states your stand has to be named after music?
If I had the talent I would write a fanfic where the stands were named after videos games like Strange Journey or Code Vein.
Imagine a stand called “Cars” or “Frozen”
That would be funny as hell
There is no rule, the stands in part 3 were based off tarot cards. Even Vanilla Ice's stand, Cream, is just a play on the word Vanilla Ice Cream
I like how after Pucci gets rid of the stand from Fujiko he's not mad, he's just disappointed. (And a bit disturbed.)
Illusion ability from part 3. Completely forgot the guys name or if he was named at all. They walked in Dio's mansion and bodied him instantly lmao.
That would be Kenny G’s Tenore Sax
Kenny G. His stand is Tenore Sax
He actually appears again in CDDH
That guy has appeared in a main part and a spinoff, no way he's obscure enough for that
@@ArchviumLiminalium They changed his name to Billie Jean in the Dub for some reason.
These were some really fun stands. I like the train. Remote romance was a great idea
Shoutouts to Holly Joestar-Kira's unnamed stand, a stand so obscure it didn't even make it into this video
The cool thing about Dolly Dagger is that the way it's user attacks is that he stabs himself first and then stabs another person, increasing that damage by 70%
And if he infects himself with HIV then his attack does poison damage on top of that 70%
Bro I swear hamon beat is making half of this stuff up. Legit rewriting reality to find these stands 😂😂
Or you don't read the wiki or any other outside information other than memes and reddit
@@ondururagittandeska2004 I mean clearly not much at least but they mean as though he has the stand of when you can't find something, only for someone to do then so immediately when there was CLEARLY nothing in there and they must've had it on them all along and just wanted to make you look bad from the start

Fun Fun Fun
I don't remember writing this reply
25:56 “I always fantasize about getting ORA ORA’ed by him” LOL yeah I wonder that means 😉
I need a spin off manga where we see the AU josuke who killed 2 friends just going around messing up stuff accidentally, meanwhile there's a kira would keeps accidently fixing everything josuke breaks.
Kira tries to turn somebody into a bomb, but it actually destroys and rearranges the person instead
Wow, I've learned a lot from this video. One of those things is that Gurren Lagann is pronounced
gur • uhn laa • gn
I pronounced it as:
gur • en luh • gahn
Or something like that.
My favorite obscure stand is Survivor because it’s so random, imagine the ability of a stand that just makes you pissed ☠️☠️
Remote Romance and Jojosapiens I feel might apply for the most obscure since they're tied to very temporary events compared to other types of media
This was an interesting romp, I think I'd have also included the Scan ability for Gyro (or the guardian of the Saint Corpse's eyeballs) since despite appearing in the main story, the Stand form of Scan appears very briefly like Jonathan's Stand
14:03 Holy shit that is interesting, the ramifications of that stand could be terrifying.
Amazing content keep it up
Imma just gonna said it...
Your intro stuck and life free rent in my head...
HAMON BEAAAAT~~~~
*We need a Jorge Joestar video. Several if necessary.*
Also why does Shoko Nakagawa's art style look like Junji Ito meets 90's Araki?
My favourite is The Cure, named after one of my favourite bands.
I think the Greenland Workers stand. In the anime, it was shown for less than 10 seconds!
Or the guy in SBR who is never shown and neither is his stand. It's just a panel showing someone with their guts out while Mountain Tim explains that one time an emerald prospector mysteriously killed someone and then himself.
What part is this?
Part 5 when Polnareff is explaining the history of the stand arrows
@@jonseon5952 Im so stupid I didnt realise that wasnt the stand name
Okay, but Remote Romance is an AMAZING idea.
There is timeline where alternate Josuke killed Diavolo trying to fix his friendship
I think it’s kinda funny how all of the stands in purple haze feedback are named after jimmi Hendricks songs
Rainy Day Dream Away's chapter was sooo good in the Novel
I'm hopeful of a "Musical References In Bastard! Heavy Metal High Fantasy".
I thought of Rohan gaining a notebook like Love Note, inspired by TAWOG’s “The Shipping”.
Dinner is about to be so good tonight watching this video
every stand is obscure when you're not a stand user because all you see is people staring at each other and suddenly getting damaged
The audio drama is one of my favorite pieces of obscure Jojo media, because Dio was voiced by Norio Wakamoto, seiyuu of (amongst others) Cell from Dragon Ball.
if only kars had cells seiyuu. It would be truly *perfect*
There was a stand that was made for the collab with cell called scrapper
Personally I would say it's Tenor Sax, purely for the fact that despite being in the most well-known part, despite clearly being shown on-screen, despite being Iggy's last confirmed kill, despite that happening right before Avdol's death, I still somehow completely forget about him every single time I come back to Stardust Crusaders because he's just that forgettable.
yeah but he seem kinda know, compared to those spin off characters
It was missing something, you know? A stand battle
I’m absolutely in love with the style of the bizarre worldly wisdom comic
Ikr? Jolyne looks so adorable💖
Remote Romance is so epic. It's even has it's own logo
Yooo, I'm doing a version of the beyonds in the rp I'm running. I'm so happy to see other pieces of media doing it!
I never knew about beyonds until I watched this video today
Shoko related stands are fucking terrifying
The context of their creation is even more
I mean
WHAT THE FUCK, A STAND TO MAKE A FICTIONAL CHARACTER DON'T HAVE AN AFFAIR , BETRAING A REAL PERSON
Not to mention she literally said that she "wants to get ORA ORA'd by Jotaro". I mean, respect to her for not being afraid to say what she wants, and I get that Jotaro is a good choice for a fan favorite, but uh... even for JoJo, this is pretty damn bizarre.
I don't know the degree of intent that she held but I will say it comes out with considerable hilarity.
waited so long for hamon video😞
There is actually another series of Obscure stands that i don't think was covered in the video.
There's this RPG Maker game called 7th Stand user, which features the protagonist having a chance to get 1 of 12 stands, all done by Avdol giving a personality test to the player.
The stands vary from a bunch of bugs that eats away anything it comes in contact to a pen that can create bombs out of the letters it writes. Give it a look if you have the time
This is about official stands
@@Hamon_Beat Ah damn, Aight I see.
Here's a named stand we all forgot existed
Scan, an eye which appears on Gyros steel ball for all of 3 or so chapters
I really wish we got a part about the invisible baby, her being an adopted joe star and another female Jojo. Her being a spoiled brat who could use invincibility to cause trouble or learn to harness her power. It’d be fun
An interesting thing with the Gucci bag stand thing is that it likely implies one of two things:
A: An artisan with the ability to imbue object with stand abilities through mystical means (like Dio's heaven ritual, and other such things we don't fully understand about stands)
B: An artisan with the ability to "enchant" objects using his own stand ability.
This seemingly permanent, fluid, and creative ability is pretty unique within JoJo's. And the idea of infusing inanimate objects with stand abilities of their own is like a weird variation of the DISCs.
I wonder how it's done...?
The radio drama and the nes jump game I think are the most obscure for sure, both are very inaccessible to most western fans in 2022
Fun fact: Scatola, the name of the stand user from the Golden Wind escape game, it means "box" in italian
Also tenor sax was defeated by iggy- not Avdol. Give doggo some credit (it’s okay I is an easy mistake to make)
So many people completely forget Achtung Baby exists
Yeah but it's not really that crazy
Will i ever use this knowledge in my daily life? No
Will i still watch hamon beat religiously? Yes of course
remote romance looks super awesome and is a neat concept.(do other video game stands next.:3)
kenny g & mariah(dig her new look/wish n doul was still alive to see his look.) making a hideout for the still alive followers of dio reminds me of one piece's spider's cafe where after crocodiles defeat/getting broke out of jail his group settled down at a cafe they planned at and actually remember reading the drama cd when getting introduced to jojo by my friend .
wow shonen jump was 25 around part 4(surprisingly brutal version of josuke, wonder if his savior was like that.) and it'll be 55 next year.(hope we get a jump super/ultimate stars esque game with more series/modes.:3)
I HAD AN IDEA OF A TRAIN STAND BUT IT WAS TAKEN BEFORE I WAS BORN
Perhaps the stand of the Nijimura's father was a sort of massive regeneration or pain resistance. Just an idea, despite it being unlikely.
these are all just more bizarre than the last - *_and it makes them even more and more awesome and amazing to read up about!_*
