Yeah, when he brought up that bit in his Part 7 video, I didn’t assume it’d be impossible for him to move the horse, but I wasn’t initially sure of why, I just assumed that Diego was probably either naturally strong enough to move it, or The World had something to do with it. JJBA has naturally made me think outside of the box and be more open to other possibilities, and I’ve found it’s better to ask questions for the sake of curiosity than stubbornly argue that you’re right, it prevents any nasty insults from being thrown around, and no one likes that.
The worst part is this isn’t just a JoJo thing this is an internet thing. After alll my years on the internet, if i’ve learned one thing, i’ve learned ppl HATE to do research.

well to be fair, some of those subtitles go by pretty quick, and my ADHD won't let me watch a tv show without also playing a video game at the same time. And my elitism won't let me just watch the dubbed version, lest I commit sudoku with my plastic wall katana upon hearing the name "Shining Diamond"
Reading comprehension, object permanence, narrative structure, etc. When kids can read the Redwall series, a set of books that has a timeline that jumps around, and still keep nouns and events clear and distinct, I don't understand how people can misunderstand the identities of children in a linearly direct sequel.

@Ewen McConville It's pretty clear that nothing has mass when time is stopped by The World. Force is mass x acceleration. Acceleration depends on time passing. If you stop time, either the force you exert needs to be infinite to move any mass, or the objects you move have no mass. For example, if you want to push an object a certain distance, you apply a force to do it. If you want to move it a certain distance but faster, then you exert more force. If you want to move something instantly from one place to another, then naturally you need infinite force.
Since we know the World doesn't have infinite strength and that it stops time. This logically means that nothing has mass when time is stopped.
How is it that Jojo is a series that simultaneously everybody loves yet almost nobody has actually watched/read?

He could absolutely lift a horse carriage with ease like Jack, since it would be made of a lighter material, but a ROA- okay i'll stop - a steam roller would be much heavier.

Before I read part 6 I swore that I saw Emporio with the birthmark, but when I read it, turns out it's just a crazy mandela effect of mine
Update: Now that I think about it hard enough, I think because when I saw the green baby at some point and then right after that when I saw Emporio, my brain decided to stamp the birthmark onto Emporio. Yeah I know it's weird, if someone tells me my weird experience with JoJo, it'll be this one.

It's dumb, but not an Araki Forgot.
It's not even that far fetched of a concept, since Star Platinum's super speed could be easily improved into stopped time with enough training.
I do wish it was explained better in the show since it's so common to hear people thinking Jotaro just copied Dio's power (we can blame Eyes of Heaven's ending on this), when the time stop conclusion could have been reached even in isolation.

I actually thought that when I first watched part 1... Well what happened was I tried to watch part 1, then got bored and skipped to part 3, not realizing part 2 existed, which I regretted when I watched it later. I went back and watched part 1 and was like "Wait... So joseph isn't even a joestar?" Then they explained that Lisa lisa was the baby and that erina was pregnant which cleared everything up for me.
My brother used to think that. He got shocked at the part where Lisa Lisa reveals that she was the baby and not George.

The Japanese pronunce it Jeiru Hausu Rokku so it's Jail House Rock and the Elvis's song is named Jail House Rock... this is an error of adaptation, the Japanese read the L like an R and in the Manga they misunderstand the R is an error of pronunce and change it with an L for this reason... and they're wrong.
In part 1, Jojo is a man called Jonathan Joestar. However, in part 3, Jojo is a man called Jotaro Kujo. The two parts take place about 100 years from each other, how is it possible that Jojo survived that long ? I think Araki meant that Jojo became a vampire and he had to change his name for tax purposes

A simplification to the The World Araki forgot
1) Diego has The World, and can use its strength to move objects in stopped time
2) Whenever time stops, Gravity is stopped too, so Diego could easily move his horse
I do not understand how, in a discussion about Diego with the World, saying "Diego could just move the horse" led to an outcry that it isn't possible. The man has *a stand* that is comparable in strength to a stand which breaks through materials as dense as *diamond*, the strongest thing we know of. He can move the fucking horse.
I love the constant of the "time affects gravity and vice-versa" concept in jojos, makes everything feel like one big connected piece of imagination, making the separate parts less separate, in a sense

Holy shit, I legit thought I was stupid but literally within the first minute I was laughing so hard it was painful. People forgetting that George *JOESTAR* II is, in fact, a Joestar, married Lisa Lisa and they had Joseph. Yes, Erina rescued Lisa Lisa but Straizo raised her while Erina raised George, i.e.- her own son. I feel bad for saying this but why did we overestimate the reading capabilities of these people when it is clearly explained and stated in the story? I have ADHD and dyslexia so even I have to reread things a few times before I'm able to comprehend it but I don't move on from it until I do understand. And if it happens to be one of those rare times that my last few brain cells can't understand something, I'll ask one of my friends who has read all the way up to part 8. Not go and tell 50 people that Emporio had the star birthmark and that Jolyne can read minds.

I didn't even know of George Joestar II, I just accepted they were related and the thought that something was missing never crossed my mind.
While I suck info up like a sponge and stuff, I still have to reread some sentences sometimes. But mostly when people are talking in the background. I'm autistic btw (autism 1), have two older brothers with ADHD and the younger of them also have autism 1 (Aspergers). Between their ages is our sister who have dyslexia. I corrected her once when she was trying to spell out the Swedish word for purple, which is "lila", but she spelled it as "lilla" which means little. But I was only 7 and she was 18. I did that only once though when I learned more about dyslexia.

Sorry for the lengthy reply, but that second stand, jonathan's stand, has bothered me more than any other part of the series.
I’m guessing that Giorno was strong enough to handle a manifesting stand at a young age as he was forced to adapt and survive a rough childhood. Josuke on the other hand had a normal and happy childhood and had to be inspired by the story of his savior to develop the resolve to use a stand.
There was also the fact that Josuke's stand was acting out against him due to the distress signal from Jonathon's body, where Giorno's wasn't.

There are two components to every Stand: a ghost and a host. Only Stand Users can see a ghost because they're magical. Everybody can see a host because hosts are ordinary objects that ghosts are manipulating.
When Jotaro summons Star Platinum, a ghost comes out of him and punches things. That ghost is invisible to non-Stand Users. However, any regular objects Star Platinum manipulates (hosts) are fully visible to everybody - stuff it picks up, holes it punches in walls, etc. If Star Platinum were to put on an ordinary jacket, non-Stand Users would see an empty floating jacket.
When Iggy uses The Fool, it manipulates ordinary sand (host) to build its body, make shields, etc. Everybody can see that.

One of the worst aspects of internet culture (and probably the whole cynical gen x culture that preceded it) is the constant need to feel like you're more clever than whatever you're reading. This reminds me of kids in high school who felt the need to outsmart Shakespeare with inane nitpicks except even more embarrassing. With these JoJo fans in particular it feels as if people are just talking to talk instead of putting any thought into what they're reading. It's even more baffling when they're unnecessarily aggressive over something that's their own mistake. I can't imagine having to deal with people yelling at you over the concept of picking up a horse, but you do a great job man.

It’s also that nowadays people expect stories to spoon-feed them information about EVERY LITTLE FUCKING DETAIL ABOUT EVERYTHING. It’s like people can’t just put 2 and 2 together and work the stuff out themselves. Or worse, they can’t accept that some details are just not that important or relevant to the overall story that author is trying to tell. I swear, if the 1st Star Wars came out today people would hate it because “how come the death star had a weak point?”, and make entire videos on youtube about how that ruined the entire story for them, instead of putting 2 and 2 together and realizing that the weak point is an exhaust port which most large machines are required to have.
There is also the opposite case when someone finds a legitimate issue, but then everyone says:"The issue doesn't exist because the author says so."
Why can't we have a middle ground?
So called "internet culture" people instantly try to larp in as intellectuals and start ''dissecting" whatever they're reading or watching and add more cringe by being overly nitpicky and arrogant and overall just negative.
In reality , they do not even give clever remarks or anything, they just blurt out whatever flat thought their brains have blurted out and try to pass their personal, subjective opinion as a fact.

What baffles me is that everything is explained in the anime/manga, you don't actually have to do research in order to know this. You just had to pay attention while watching/reading. Maybe all of them have dementia? Maybe the better title for this series would be "Jojo fans forgot" instead of "debunking Araki forgot".
