edit: thx to anyone to point out that everyone thats alive can survive MiH
anyway changing my question to how Pucci who got infinite speed cant even catch a kid? its sounds like Emporio gains plot armor to be able to escape from Pucci because "fate"
Here's a question for part 6: After Emporio kills Pucci with Weather Report at the end, did that cause the creation of another new universe or not? I'm confused how many universes/timelines were created in the last few chapters
I feel like there is something to say about Whitesnake's weird goo trap room, or more importantly, how he got the Beetle Arrow to awaken his and weather reports stand.
Also please mention DIO says survivor is the weakest stand but also says Joseph has the weakest stand. It's not an inconsistency, Araki just forgot Dio made that insult
@@payne9682 I'm pretty sure there is still only one. Pucci didn't create a new one, he just reset the old one
@@chrisesponel1334 It seems like there were two resets then. One when he killed everyone except Emporio....and the second reset, once Weather Report finishes him off in the illusion room in jail (don't know if that was the real name of the room).

I impragnated you. Here is a photo.

But why would DIO sign a photo as Dio Brando? Hadn't he abandoned the Brando part by then?

Giorno: I keep this photo with me at all times. It’s my only true connection that I have with my real father. Hell, this is the only thing that I appreciate from my bitch of a mother giving me. Which is why this photo is important to me, even if I can never actually see his face.

“Giorno’s stand ability was originally body manipulation, but than araki forgot. Despite the fact that like, five minutes later we see giorno’s actual stand ability. Clearly this is fact.”

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly, I always thought that Bucciarattis ghost was just possessing his own corpse. That seems like what you explained here and the idea of a persons ghost interacting with their corpse or zombie feels like a cool story idea
yep, he was possessing himself by using left over life energy from giorno, because he wasnt fated to die there, good old plot drive fate kept his soul in there long enough to come back.
Its funny cuz I though everybody understood this especiaply when anime was still running. Everybody kept talking and joking about "Zombie mom" but for some reason after the part ended this just poofed out of people's heads like wtf?
I think that just as soon as bucciarati died, Giorno infused his corpse with a surplus of life essence thus allowing him to cling on for a few more days

I thought Polpo's finger thing was just him being weird, like how he pretended to be a bed, so that he can catch his "candidates" off guard.
People complained about the fingers AND the bed thing together.
Yet this buy only spoke on the finger part. He knew he had no explanation for the bed, lmao. Looks like Araki did forget.
Yeah, I honestly just ignore these examples of Jojo weirdness. It's something you have to accept.
@@A1phaz0ne His fat makes him the same size as a bed, I mean Giorno could fold his entire ear into his skull so it kinda makes sense
i dont even question things anymore
I didn't really agree with Beat's explanation of the finger thing. I did see someone say something about Polpo just being a master illusionist which is interesting. Would explain the bed and fingers together, the reason for him being this would I guess mostly be just to throw the readers/viewers of JoJo off. Like how Araki loves to do with his character introductions and make us find everything completely Bizarre the first time we see things without explanations (also makes us constantly speculate their Stand's power).
So really we were seeing everything from Giorno's perspective as we were following him enter the prison alone and had his thoughts constantly expressed to us, like we were along for the ride.
Or just Polpo's massive size coupled with Giorno being on edge and again Araki just wanting to weird us out and be as on edge as Giorno, then Giorno thinks he sees Polpo eat his fingers just for the lighter to appear because he was on edge.
Best explanations I can think of (Araki wanting to just put us on edge I think is pretty concrete but I'm not confident in anything I've heard for the in universe explanations but these are the best for me and what I'm kinda going by for now)
Also I saw a suggestion Polpo is just some kind of creature (like how we've been shown there are alot of life forms in JoJo from ancient Pillar Men to Vampires and a _possible_ alien, Araki at least toys with these ideas). This would explain the eyes, his weird figure, bed transformation and finger restoration better.
Maybe based off some Italian folktale or creature I'm not aware of but Araki has researched?
I left this one last though because I personally don't subscribe to it. Don't really see the point in making one random character a creature never established before in the universe and with such little allusion to it (if at all) as weird shit happening in character and stand reveals is usually supposed to be clear after the reveal, I didn't understand afterwards though.
Sorry for the wall but didn't know what to cut out from this.
Imajne if diavolo couldnt interact with his clothes since its not a prt of him, its just on him, and he phases through his clothes every time he uses king crimson and is naked after every skip
That's not how it works. He simply avoids what is fated to hit him, his clothes aren't fated to be on him they already ARE.
The only reason Araki didnt show this is because he knew we would be intimidated by Diavolos massive dick and would automatically start routing for him in fear of what he would do to us with his 30 foot long schlong

@@crystalalumina Indeed. Kakyoin saying that Hanged Man didn't use a mirror world only applied to the Hanged Man fight; it wasn't so much that a mirror world was too ridiculous to believe, it was that all Stands must have a weakness (even Gold Experience Requiem, however unknown and mysterious it may be) and Hanged Man attacking from a mirror world would make it invincible and so that idea was out. If Kakyoin had been there for the Man in The Mirror fight in Part 5, he most likely would have concluded that the Stand did in fact use a mirror world and/or not been much surprised by it since Man in The Mirror can't attack directly from reflections like Hanged Man on top of Man in The Mirror being much physically weaker than Hanged Man and so it using a mirror world would not make it invincible.

I've never understood how Fugo leaving is considered an "Araki Forgot". He didn't mysteriously disappear, he was given an extremely blatant and clear sendoff. I don't understand why anyone would expect to return afterwards. Hell, a majority of these debunked "Araki Forgot" moments are simply how something wasn't frequently brought up again.
Purple Haze: Do people REALLY want to see me licking myself?!
Da_Pikmin_Coder Yeah, and the reason Fugo left was really sensible if you think about it, the flashback said Fugo has a really high IQ, and because of that he put facts logic and his intelligence at the fore front and decided that continuing on journey with his friends would be unfavourable, simple as that. (His big brain was right btw, if he did continue he would have probably died along with narancia and abacchio.)
Da_Pikmin_Coder Araki had the plans for golden heart golden rings (correct the name) for quite a while but couldn’t bring himself to write it.
i personally used "Araki forgot Fugo" as a joke. Its just funny to think about, but not actually being serious.
its more of the fact that people are so attached to the standard modern anime cliches/tropes which makes them expect good guy Fugo to return at the last minute and save the day because he apparently changed his mind one day
The idea of Cioccolata experiencing the life shot(s) during 7-page muda makes the whole thing so much more brutal
I love it.
this probably happened with diavolo too, because GER is catastrophically stronger in pure punching power than normal gold experience. Diavolo would've probably been completely vaporized by Requiem's normal punches, but i like to think that Giorno just prolonged his life out of pure hatred.

@@filipmoravcik1506 Why though? Kakyoin is a very rational person, thinking things through clear-mindedly. The concept of a mystical "mirror-world" was too much of a stretch for it to be real, in his mind. About the Buciaratti Revival: I actually interpreted the content of the last two episodes the following way: By destroying the rock, Buciaratti was able to escape his fate of dying and be able to live for a while longer in a dead body. In exchange, two of his fellows - Narancia and Abacchio - would die alongside him.
Edit: Also take a look at Salumas explanation in the first comment, it provides an even better solution.
this is actually a realy good explanation.
I just took it as revealing that Buciaratti not dying to rolling stones meant that those two where also fated to die.
This is just my interpretation, but it seems like rolling stones ability is not to just euthanise somone destined to die, but to save the life of another one destined for death in the process.
Without it, the sculpctors girlfriend would have died like her father, but because she allowed herself to get killed by it her organs can now save her father, saving him from his destininy of death.

The mirror thing can be explained simply by saying that Araki limited himself way too much in stand abilities in part 3. Part 3 stands were always really practical and set in stone, which would make for boring future parts. So as he grew as a writer, the limits in part 3 slowly disappeared. It's more of Kakyoin not knowing how complex stands can be because all he's seen from stands so far was stuff like "fire", "sword", "punch good", "gun", etc. There's a reason he reacted with "how can this be" when he learned that The World can stop time.
feel like you're downplaying how strong of a start to stands part 3 was
Stands weren't that simple, you could say 4 for stands were fix, erase, sound, blow up, hair etc and that dumbs them down just as much. Taking avdols stand as an example, his fire wasn't actual fire. His fire could burn with no oxygen, could bind as though it was a rope, he could detect heat coming from living things and far more. You're seriously underselling part 3's stands, after all, jotaro stands ability wasn't punch good, it was speed and precision which naturally fit time stop as his ability. Stands have weaknesses, and hanged man's was obviously that he wasn't actually untouchable in a mirror dimension, just as dio and jotaro a weakness is that their timestop is limited, or diavolos is that he is still bound to fate when not erasing time. Get it?
Even if fugo was meant to be a spy, him learning the torture dance must've been amazing

11:27 tiny nitpick - (in the anime at least) Bruno’s deafness is induced by damage to his eardrums from popping a tire under mud, not as a side effect of being dead.
He was already kinda deaf and only hearing the souls' voices, but that *at least* fully deafended him.
Yeah, his body would eventually deteriorate to the point he would go deaf. The situation just sped it up.
In the car with giorno, bucciarti, and mista it seems that he already was losing his hearin when bucciarti couldnt hear giorno
No he was already going deaf during the ride with giorno after they escaped the fishing village he couldn’t hear him until he looked in the rear view mirror. The tire pop did make it worse

spice girl's independent behavior makes sense with how stands work. start of part 3, star platinum moved by itself. long-range stands like black sabbath are completely disconnected to the user. the less of a deep/direct connection the user has with their stand, the more independent it is
i've always brought up the fact that jotaro didn't have control over star platinum, it was independent at the time, and as we know, independent stands, a lot of times, have long ranges.
Probably the best example of this is Cheap Trick - the stand with arguably the most personality and tons of dialogue, which was so disconnected from its user that it persisted after his death and actively wanted to kill him.
They always have a certain level of independence. I mean how would Star platinum do ORA ORA punches that no normal human should be able to see or process.
I think thats why Purple Haze is kinda concious
@@ruyman90 They are talking about the Pre-Magician's Red Star Platinum; at the beginning when it only showed it's hands and brought Jotaro things like mangas. At the time, Star Platinum was so disconnected from Jotaro, that it was an independent stand, and thus it had a lot of range
Araki: Doesn’t bring back an element supposed to be phased out
The audience: Wow. What a big plot hole. I can’t believe Araki forgot.
Not necessarily a plot hole, but doing that too often can be considered bad writing. As a storyteller you want to be creating setups that then pay off later on. Part 5 introduced many ideas that end up nowhere or feel abandoned. Giorno's stand abilities feel like they got reworked halfway through the manga, you have two initial fights where it's established what his stand can do (Bruno and shovel guy), and then he never takes advantage of neither of those properties through the rest of the story. It doesn't matter if it can be explained in canon like Hamon Beat did, it's still a very weird choice as a writer. Introducing him as Dio's son and then not doing anything with that is also a questionable choice. Araki has shown he can do much better than this, other parts are much more consistent with themselves, but I guess it makes sense since he was going through a rough time while writing Vento Aureo.

The weird thing is there's no hole where King Crimson could've entered through in the manga, he just enters the elevator and gets out somehow, did he manage to open the elevator door, then got out and maybe that's why Bruno was looking forward? Fugo was originally going to betray the gang but at the time of writing Part 5, Araki was depressed and he just couldn't do it so he instead wrote him off
Another part to the dropped Fugo betrayal arc that's probably been mentioned before somewhere, it's probably worth noting some very specific similarities between the nature of Fugo's *[Purple Haze]* and Chocolotta's *[Green Day]* , particularly the part where both of their abilities are highly lethal, (virus/ mold) cloud AoE attacks that cannot be seen until they're already taking effect, and which turn the victims and their corpses into a carrier to spread their respective plagues further beyond their stand's own reach.

Oooooohhhhhh now, i get why all that stuff where it seemed like King Crimson interacted with things in skip time were happening. He wasn’t actually interacting with objects. Things continued to happen that where fated to happen to others but not to himself. He changed his own fate but not others fate.
Sounds like you're going into the Darth Plagueis story lol. He could save himself but not others.
So it was fate that narancia would be killed by him, he just changed it so that he wouldn't be seen
If thats his power Diavalo could just think about killing folk and they would die regardless of their own will or power during a time skip. If thats the case we should have won against Giorno easily. Basically if fate is locked in and then he skips Gio dies.. Doesn't matter about how strong GER when fate does the work.
Which si s why Narancias death doenst make sens eeven with that explanation. He'd have to be fated to die by an event but becuase Diavalo erased the event he woudl not die but cos Narancia dies... Giorno should have died.
See what I mean? The power is broken and doesnt' actually make sense.
@@kudosbudo first off, GER has reality breaking powers and is a defensive stand. It will protect Giorno no matter what happens. It's the reason why Giorno is not killed by Diavolo. Also when Diavolo uses his stand ability he basically erases himself from fate but because it was fate that Narancia would die, fate itself threw Narancia on the poles
@@kudosbudo He would have done it; At that opportunity, Diavalo was going to kill Narancia in that way, and because he foresaw that with Epitaph it becomes a fated event that he's aware of. However, actually doing that would have exposed who he was possessing at the time, so to remain hidden he skips the time in which he kills Narancia. Narancia is still killed this way, because the results of the actions he was fated to perform/ would have taken if he didn't have the time skipping ability still occur, he just doesn't have to actively perform them.
The power in a vacuum doesn't make sense, but if you add in how fate works suring the part it fits. Another example one could give is the idea of "reading ahead" in Dr Who, where by reading/ learning about events that happen in one's own future, or in the future of another, those events become "fixed", a person's future being changeable and unknown until that future has been observed or otherwise defined.
[Epitaph] looks into the future, and in doing so learns of events that have yet to happen, which may have already been fated, or which become immutably fated after becoming "known". In seeing the future, that future becomes unavoidable, but [King Crimson]'s time erasure removes Diavalo from fate for it's duration, so everything that was foreseen by [Epitaph] still happens with the sole exception that Diavalo and KC aren't involved, though the results of what they would have done if they were still a part of fate still occur. They aren't bound by fate and can move freely, but they can't interfere with fate, so they must wait until the skip ends before they can interact with anything again.
I didn't realize Golden Wind was disliked, I think it's excellent, probably the best. The antagonist is interesting and compelling, Doppio is a fantastic character, JoJo works well as a mystery serial and that's as true here as in Diamond is Unbreakable, and I really enjoyed Giorno: he has the levelheaded, analytical, calmness under pressure that Jotaro has, while being much more emotionally available and tender to his friends. Bucciarati is a titan of a supporting character and gets closer to snatching the protagonist role away from the titular character than any other, and he does this not by force but by simply being extremely likeable, competent, and noble. I also thought Golden Wind was great as a stand ability because it's not a brute force stand like SP, and this opens up a lot of moments for creativity in fights. Great part. On the topic of Bucciarati/Buccellati returning to his dead body, wasn’t that also due to Mista destroying the initial Rolling Stone which forecasted his death? It was even stated that a far greater tragedy awaited Mista & gang (presumably Abbachio donut and Narancia kebab), at least in the anime.
Yeah, is Rolling Stones fault, but I think that breaking Rolling Stones was already part of the fate, so to be precise is just Bruno's willpower and Rolling Stones just acted as a flag, if this was the case (personally, is my interpretation)
Also, totally off topic, as an Italian, Buccellati is much correct (Is the actual correct reference to the sicilian pastry), but Bucciarati sounds way better and even Italians use It so no need to use the slash ;)
@@7thson855 Rolling Stones just represents fate. Sort of what you said, Rolling Stones can be manipulated to change fate. This however is meant to be symbolism of people changing fate with their own hands (Mista not accepting the outcome) rather than Rolling Stones itself being able to manipulate fate.
@@boxbot1292 Exactly, but analizing the fate in JoJo I've noticed that no one could really escape fate and that every single thing is "already written" in some way: no one has ever changed future, but every stand or ability that can see It Is just slightly incorrect, unprecise or bound to the ability user expectations.
But this is very debateable and part 5 is not a good example of this because the entire message is "you can always escape the fate someone else wrote for you", but my point is: no one could really change the future, but the only way to be sure to "win the Life game" is embrace it and, at the same time, use your willpower as the fate doesn't exist to be sure that you have done the right thing.
This interpretation in particular could be deduced by Will Zeppeli death and Boingo's arcs
I want to unread Narancia kebab
Aside from Rolling Stones as others have already mentioned, I believe Araki using Gold Experience as a symbolism for Giorno "breaking the mold" (fate) also had an impact. As Bruno says in his death scene "my heart had been dying a slow death and it came back to life all because of you”. I always interpreted that quote with the double meaning of both Giorno literally reviving him but also metaphorically reviving his will to live, as in, saving Bruno from the fate of working in the cruel world of violent, drug-ridden Passione and inspiring him to rebel and fight for what he believes is right. Gold Experience's power to "give life" suddenly acquires a more poetic meaning.
The reason Bruno came back to life wasn't because of resolve or because of the fact that giorno healed him it was simply because mista changed the rolling stones' shape meaning that he changed bruno's fate, however that only allowed bruno to live a tad bit longer and also led abbachio and narancia to their deaths. That's my take on this
Same but Abit different
Same. I thought the whole point of Sleeping Slaves arc was to explain Bruno not dying (+some philosophy about fate) and it hurts me everytime people ignore it in their explanations.
Yeah, fate being manipulated prolonged his fate though even that small change killed 2 people.
@@Jay0Kayo no the og comment and this are wrong, Bruno's fate was his death against Rolling Stones, Mista changed that so he'd live a bit longer resulting in Abbachio and narancia deaths as this would cause giorno to meet Bruno and cause part 5s events, hence why it was a prequel to them meeting giorno. Don't really understand how that's not super obvious lmao
@@Jiub_SNyou are wrong. His fate was getting his chest punctured by king crimson. There’s literally a page of the artist bringing up that detail. Chapter 153 page 12.
I wish the ending wouldve lasted just 1 minute longer, shortly showing us the results of giorno's ascention to the rank of boss, as well as his interactions with mista, trish, and hey, why not fugo too. Theres no reason to believe fugo wouldnt join giorno after learning of diavolo's death
There's purple haze feedback tho. Tells how passione started to change after giogio took the power and a redemption of fugo. Araki didn't write it, but worked in the production and states that depended on each fan if they wanted to consider it cannon. Looks like fans do, after all many want an ova of the book
@@nadie516 purple haze feedback isn't canon lol
@@mattizap2988 well it's still a good read
@@mattizap2988 Actually, it's kind of 2nd level canon, as Araki even drew for it. If you don't know, 2nd level canon is when something can be considered canon UNLESS the main source says otherwise.
@@mithril5155 doesn't sound canon to me boi
the jojo fanbase be like "yo araki forgets all the time what happened to the little girl with the cat phone on the plane who sits next to doppio? whats her stand do??? araki forgetted lol."
Sad thing is I can see someone actually saying that
Her stand is Glock 17
Her stand is the FBI
Mochi mochi?
Nah her Stand is Breakbot and it has a substand Baby I'm Yours
(sorta Like King Crimson and Epitah) "Baby I'm Yours" can break down any door, and it'll have its own Mini FBI (kinda like Bad Company from part 4), while Break Bot is a Robot that does analysis on surrounding areas to make a map.. I need more ideas.
That makes the bullet phasing scene with Diavolo make a lot more sense. The bullets were fated to go along that path, and would have ripped through his body if he hadn't altered his own fate to prevent them from harming him in the process.
Exactly
Fun fact but the whole “tasting lies” thing actually has some truth to it, because when the body lies or undergoes something that gives them anxiety they’re body produces chemicals that can make sweat taste a bit different to regular sweat from kinetic energy!
And the flavour is briefly salty.
@@timothyryan8983 All sweat is salty though.
Yes the cold sweat (huge stress) often smells different too
Since it goes out more faster the smell created by bacterias on the skin is different than the hot sweat, and the chemicals into the sweat are different too yes...
Two of my coworkers have a quite strong distinct smell sometimes, we all sweat it's physical work but they are especially anxious, (and in a nursing home the stress situations are frequent, we have some old lady that have panic attacks, if you're anxious that's really hard to face it, it's stressful) so when I notice it I don't just tell they stink it won't help them at all to just shower, I ask if they need to talk or take few minutes of calm...
I sweat a lot in summer, shower works for me, but if you smell because of anxiety's cold sweat it's useless if the source of stress is still active on you
Can't wait to try this irl
also for trish: as we see with echos egg a non fully awakened stand can have a different appearance, its possible that spice girls half-awakened form did have a larger and more rough appearance, but by the time we see it fully has fully awakened and changed into the more humanoid form we are familiar with
There was never the implication of spice girl having a different appearence. If you're talking about the "claw" on the grass, DP interpreted the drawing as some kind of claw, but you can clearly see how it's just a normal print of a hand.

@@elusorymonk1941 pretty sure the second time those marks appear it is a scratch which do tend to come from claw marks. I think Hamon Beats explanation does have some loopholes but nothing is perfect.
Your theory of "if Diavolo is fated to kill someone he will kill someone even if King Crimson erases Diavolo from fate for 10 seconds, since technically Narancia dying is the fate of Narancia" is supported by Rolling Stones, that literally show people, who are fated to die.
Seeing you die predicted by epitaph just makes King Crimson get a surekill since he knows how.
That still doesn't really explain why when narancia died, why did Diavolo have to use king crimson? The events shown by epitaph are fated to happen regardless of whether or not diavolo skips time. You could say that he was shown to be in a bad position as well but that doesn't really fit with what we have seen epitaph do, it only really shows one person at a time
@@benhawk4214 he skipped time so he can kill narancia without being discovered, since they out-number him and despite how broken his ability is he can only pick one person off at a time. And epitaph only shown one person because Rissotto was invisible.
If Giorno's damage reflect ability makes him functionally invincible why doesn't he just make a armor of frogs to win every stand battle?
Because that wouldn't be interesting
I don’t know about you, but I sure as hell wouldn’t want hundreds of frogs crawling all over my body. Besides, they’d probably hop away
@@tibiafibiafie *cough* *cough* algae *cough* *cough*
This is funny tbh
But yeah, this wouldn't be useful against The Greatful Dead or babyface
*_Araki Forgot?1??1?_*
another thing with bucciarati not being able to liar taste narancia is the fact that in that point of time, he may not have his sense of taste with his dying body
Small brain: Araki forgot that Giorno can bring back Abbachio
Big brain: Abbachio didn't have the resolve to come back to his body
Galaxy brain: Abbachio was too mad that Giorno was the one who brought him back, despite him being the only one who could
I thought it was because it was already too late. Like giorno has a short window in time to do the "revival".
@zzz43452 RIGHT! I forgot about that... but yeah if rolling stones never happened that would be my reason.
