- This fall, Apple will reveal their new iPhone 16 and 16 Pro models, so here are all the new features we’re expecting to see. Starting with the 16 and 16 Plus, which will come in a new purple color that join the existing pink, yellow, green, and blue options.

I have a 14 pro max which has 120 frames i literally cant tell a difference so i switxhed back to 60 frames to save battery

iphone 16 is supposed to be the first iphone that is more 'repair-friendly', whatever that means. Apple agreed to a right to repair bill back in August of 2023, but by that time the iphone 15 was already done with development.
Apple don't give a shit about right to repaire.

As an iPhone 12 user, with a broken back glass, 77% battery capacity, and a charging port that’s on its way, I am ready for a larger screen and battery. Even if it had minimal upgrades, I’d be happy to get the 16 plus anyhow. Nice to see that it comes with some previously pro-exclusive features.
I’ll be upgrading to the 16 pro max from the 11, biggest upgrade and I can’t wait!

@aipoweredjapanese You should absolutely upgrade, by the time the 16 pro max comes out the 11 will be out of date but miles, if you get the 16 pro max you wont have to upgrade your phone for at least 5 years
I have the SE 2nd gen and I’m thinking about upgrading to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. So it’ll be a massive upgrade for me too

60 Hz on a $800 phone in 2024 is absolutely ridiculous. Should've been 120 Hz years ago. It's not a cost issue either cause cheap androids have 120Hz. It's just a way to pressure people too buy the pro.
i agree with your statement, but the thing is, most people buying the base iphone dont notice or care. apple has no incentive to make the base models 120hz because there is simply no demand for it by the people who buy the phones. try showing the difference to non-tech savvy people or you parents, 99% wont see the difference and wont care as long as the phone does what its supposed to do. lots of people still dont even know the difference between oled vs lcd.
us who watch videos like these know very well that its time to let go of 60 hz in 2024, but at the end of the day, we dont represent the average buyer, we're a minority. as long as most people dont care, apple has no reason to change. the masses mostly care about the cameras, thats why they get improved constantly and we get features like a dedicated camera button. (unnecessary imo, theres like 4 ways to access the camera already, now we'll have 5)
@@r3dluff Yep, this is very true. I'm tech savvy and care about these things but even after I showed my parents the difference, they didn't really care, and same with a lot of people I know. They just want the phone to work as it should and have a good battery life, that's it.
Switch to Samsung, all variations have 120hz and have a better camera than iphone

@@Pagglet i had an s24 ultra owner tell me that he envies iphone cameras because of their consistency. He said his phone has better zoom and can take amazing photos in certain situations, but its not nearly as consistent in taking good photos as iphones. And thats coming from the current flagship samsung. Also as i said, 120hz is really good, but 90% of the population simply doesnt care or see the difference. They want a well working phone with a reliable camera, which apple has perfected.

iPhones peaked years ago. We shouldn’t expect major changes anymore like when the iPhone 10 released. It’s more about iOS updates rather then the phone itself

Why is the ultra-wide lens that getting 48 MP, not the telephoto lens? I rarely use the ultra-wide ever since it was first introduced in iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Max
I think that iPhone 16 and 16 plus will have the old camera layout but with a lidar sensor as iPhone 15 introduced a clear and plain glass around the camera instead the matte one

I’m still on my iPhone 12 as the previous releases didn’t appeal to me. I got it in December 2020 and it still has 85% battery capacity. But this year I think it’s time to upgrade so looking forward to it
Same as me, the only difference is that my battery life got to 76%
I was going to wait till the 16 released but realized I'd get less out of my trade in value. (Coming from an iPhone 12) I just switched on Saturday to the 15 pink and love it. Good luck though! :)

the capture button is so unnecessary, when both volume buttons are literally capture buttons in the camera app
They are just needing design changes at this point.

also consider that cases will have to adjust for the touch sensitive space. we could see cases with large cutouts or work arounds to avoid triggering the button. imagine sliding the phone into a grip, or pulling out of a pocket, and the camera opening all the time.
Actually excited for 16 Pro Max! Much faster wired charging with that MASSIVE display and better zoom is gonna be even more convenient. Plus I really love the Desert Titanium. ♥

Apples own chips are manufactured by TSMC which pretty much manufactures EVERY chip
They design the chips, TSMC makes them. Basically the same for everyone

I have an iPhone 12 Mini and I love that the cameras are going back to this layout and removing the square surrounding it. Having them diagonal just looks so silly and the surrounding shape was a little pointless.

Well 12 mini doesn't have diagonal layout regardless (13 has it tho), it just had a square bump. Anyways I have completely opposite thoughts about it, I better liked the square bump. This new one will look like X or Xs, which I wasn't the biggest fan of.

you see everything you just said, and well know that people would have all bought the basic models because in the technical sheet between the classic models and the Pro models there is a lot of difference but I assure you in the real life I have both Pro and non-Pro models I see practically no difference apart from the 120Hz but I quickly get used to the 60Hz of the iPhone 15

You should rather stay between 80% and 20% most of the time to protect your battery.

So in short terms, not much changes, just like every other year. They’ve already revolutionized their phones so much I feel like every new phone will only be small changes for another while longer
this is the apple master plan, if they wanted to, they would make the products really good with tons of features but that would mean eventually they will hit a barrier and can no longer make money off of the product so they try to extend it as long as possible by only introducing 1 "big" change and a few little ones every year.
Literally all these changes and the new changes with the 15 could’ve been added to the 14 with no issue. They’re just trying not to improve too quickly so the phones don’t get too good
