Awesome comprehensive guide! Only thing I'd add would be to use a regular chisel to either rotate or add/remove a voxal in order to update the lighting on a chiseled block after using other chisel tools! Sometimes the game doesn't properly calculate the changes when material is removed with the planer/wedge/pantograph. :)
Thank you! I’m light years away from this as I just bought a copy last night but it’s good to know. I’m really enjoying vintage story. Liked and subbed
I've been using QP Tools for several months now, and there's a lot I hadn't even noticed. I'm glad I stumbled on this video. The pallet is going to be highly useful if I can remember to use it. Thank you.
I was about to comment that it'd be really nice to have decorative window panes too (so they still count as insulated blocks) but then realized you could use the decorative door and then have open/closed "windows" O.O This mod is awesome!
17:24 for now you could have a tool for applying sounds to state changing objects, with some limited defaults like "wood stone metal grass" and then have a more advanced option to select a custom sound.
Appreciate the guide! Wasn't sure quite how to use the more advanced tools, though using the pantograph for copy/pasting is already plenty helpful (except when it gets finnecky about directional blocks like logs)
IDEA: the lock block function can save the users name to the block, then if the "lock toggle" is used again on the block, it only removes the lock if the user pressing it is the same name.
took me a week and 15 hours just to get my first anvil. now my problem is that i can't find any more copper! T-T anyway, subbing as the dreaded 666 :P same as my locker number in high school!

Thank you so much for the noobie guide, I struggle so much to get things to work. This has been super helpful.
You're very welcome! Glad it was helpful!
A must-watch guide for any aspiring chiseler!
Secret tip there’s a flush sound available in chisel tools now…

Such a great introduction, had no idea there is so much helpful stuff out there😅
Thank you! I’m light years away from this as I just bought a copy last night but it’s good to know. I’m really enjoying vintage story. Liked and subbed
Awesome and thanks! You’ve got a long, enjoyable road ahead of learning vintage story!

I go thru a lot of palettes the main risk being getting stuck into using just palette materials
I've gotten to chiseling in my playthroughs and this looks like it'll be a mandatory addition to my game.
Enjoy your new addiction!
Great! Happy you finally completed this video! Now I know what the other weird options really do!

This mod is awesome!
There's also the mod that adds oakum but i can never remember what it's called.
If you put glass in I think it's still a full block though?
17:24 for now you could have a tool for applying sounds to state changing objects, with some limited defaults like "wood stone metal grass" and then have a more advanced option to select a custom sound.
I’ve been thinking of a special tool that would be used for the deco items with sound and other things

Thank you for this mod!
Ooooh I had no idea the paintbrush let you copy weird blocks like that! I foresee a hand-chiseled bonsai garden in my future...... 👀
10:49 that is
VERY handy!

What happens when the chiseled block goes onto the chest and it's facing the wrong way?? How do you rotate it around?
You pop it out and fix it and then reapply
