Now I am going to feel like I am slumming it on my next visit to London--staying at the Dorchester. So much luxury ,wealth and privilege in your beautiful city! Thank you Sinead-what fun!
Ahh...you have shown one of the celebrity houses that I once knew fairly well, and lived there for a brief time as a child when my mother was the housekeeper. I was at boarding school back then and so only stayed there once for a few weeks for a prolonged school Christmas holiday. We actually lived in the flat adjoining this beautiful Gothic pile above the garage. I was able to wander the property freely at will, but actually did not do it - out of respect for the privacy of the owner who was soon in residence for the holiday himself enjoying the company of his three young sons who were like myself at boarding school for most of the time. I've never forgotten staying at this beautiful house, and I am reminded of it every Christmas. Poignant memories for me. The owner of this amazing property when my parents worked there, was a well known actor. Sadly no longer with us. I spent time more than once with him and his sons in the house. Thank goodness the later and current owner also like the previous one who had spent a fortune restoring it, appreciated just how special this historic house is and that it needs to be protected.
Thank you, what a great tour. Interesting to briefly catch a pic of Hanover Lodge Regent Park, which I believe at one stage was the home of Ava Alice Astor, who’s father John Jacob drowned on the Titanic.
Wow! The Tower House is so gorgeous! Jimmy Page has always loved and had a passion for architecture. He once said that if he hadn’t had the music he likely would have been an architect. William Burges is one of his great heroes.
The Tower House has an amazing history and provenance, built in the Gothic Revival style by one of the pre-eminent 19th century designers, William Burges I can totally understand why Jimmy Page ( a outstanding musician, unlike Robbie Williams!) would feel very protective of his Grade 1 listed property, which is unique and irreplaceable. Robbie Williams' property, on the other hand, is 20th century and of no real historic or architectural interest. If he had wanted to have a property with a pool etc why not just buy one rather than embark on an enormous building work which will quite literally shake the foundations of nearby much older properties! @@terrymurphy2032
Love these videos. I worked in London for a couple of years and when I wasn’t working I used to walk for miles just wondering who lived in some of the amazing properties around London.
My mum grew up in Rangoon, Burma from 0-9, then boarding school in Brussels from 9-16, then became a nurse and lived in London from 16-25. At the end of WWll she came stateside as a war bride with Dad. Her Dad was dean of students at Oxford or Cambridge, at 70 I don't remember which. I do remember her accent. The hospital she worked at is no longer but I would love to see the gardens and architecture. The Towers and Garden Lodges are my faves. Our two bothers have visited England. Thank you so much Sinead for filling in a bit of my Mum's past for me.
I always find it amazing how many London celebs live just right on the street, and not shoved back behind high walls. Ran into Sir Ian McKellen as he was coming out of The Grapes in Limehouse a few years back, and walked with him a short ways, as we were both going the same direction. Reached a point up Narrow Street and he said , "Well, this is me.", and it's just an ordinary brick row house on the street side (although I imagine the river side is amazing just for the views alone). Didn't look anything like what you would expect a celebrities home to look. (And what a lovely, charming, down-to-Earth soul is Sir Ian. Not a bit of pretense about him.)
hello Sinead how is your afternoon now in my favorite place in the uk 🇬🇧 love London England and love the food in the city and I like the British accent so much
When in London last year I walked around a fair bit and saw Jimmy Page and Robbie Williams's houses. Walked around Holland Park that I love, but did not know who lived there, I went to Hampstead and saw the incredible place of Boy George, then in Richmond Mick Jagger old house, in Twickenham Pete Townshend house before he moved to the Wick in Richmond. Also I saw David Gilmore recording studio in Hampton I used to live yards away from Ronnie Wood hunting lodge until he split with Jo. I went to Garden Lodge as a huge fan of Freddie and Mary worked in Biba with my friends, but was very disappointed as you only see a wall.

You sweet, darling, lovely lady! This tour is such a delectable treat, all about sensuousness and the pleasure principle! I love the greenery around Robbie's place and the design of Boy's. They are all divine with, of course, the incredible proximity to everything in London. Plus, most of them have country places! Incredible!🙂🙂✨️❤️💯
Tired but couldn't stop watching this tour. I'm fascinated with London, history and architecture so sleep be damned! Much love from Chicago where our architecture is mainly modern and our hotdogs (sausages) are the incomparable Chicago dog with yellow mustard, sliced tomato & celery salt please!

Eltons slumming it with that property lol Jimmy pages house is beautiful. Full of character imagine all the things inside. Need great security. This was fascinating Sinead. Thankyou.
Aw,thank you so much for this! When i was 16 year old i worked as a ‘Home help’ in Holland Park. Many of the houses were owned by Saudi Millionaires, and i often used to drop the children off for play dates at mansions whose doors were opened by either a Butler, or a maid. It was an amazing experience for a young girl from Cheshire!
@@ToursbyFootLondon I remember doing a video for Belouis Some in one of the houses on Holland Park, didn't look much from the outside but inside it was like a tardis, it was huge!!. I supplied the Hawk for the Imagination video.
Another interesting video. The info on Page and Liberace and Bowie was fascinating. Maybe you could do another video on where American stars live in London, or even Kylie Minogue, lol.
I met Jimi Hendrix in Newcastle on Percy St , came up straight from Grammar school with my friend Elaine as she wanted a 1st day issue record . We came out of Jeavons & saw him peel himself out of a green jag along with the Experience, we ran up to him & he chatted with us for around 15 minutes, he asked us to come into the GoGo with him & stand with him during hus 2 sets , 1st in the Youth Set room & next in the Jazz Room , well they were strict back then & we , being 15 (me) & 16 (Elaine) weren't old enough for the Jazz Room...never did we want to be older more ! Anyway we told him we had tickets for his tour the next month at the City Hall, he said I'll play a song for you, what would you like me to sing , we both said together, Foxy Lady , sure enough, when we heard him say our names the next month, he played Foxy Lady , just for us...btw , you'll see I'm a Chandler, my late husband was Chris Chandler who lived in the next street in Heaton , Newcastle, to Chas Chandler...I haven't checked but I don't think they're related, although both died so young !
Sinead, those homes are the sight to see from the outside. I can only imagine how beautiful they are on the inside. If I could pick one, it would the Boy George house, the yard has lots to trees and room to move around. I hear that after living there for 40 years his house is for sale right now??? Sinead my break time is up -- back to work. I will finish the rest of the vid when I get home.... Thanks for your time, work, posting and enjoy your coffee................... mike
Think the sale fell through , from what I’ve heard some trouble amongst the band members , one of which objected to the sale Something g to do with royalties Trouble in Culture Club Paradise perhaps ? Sinead
Sinead, good to comment with you again, been REAL busy. The Boy George house took me back to the 80's, for me the best time ever for music and movies. Thanks again for your time and work... OOPS, time to get back to work.@@ToursbyFootLondon
On the market for 17 million. Seems cheap considering what you showed of other houses and the privacy that house seems to have better than most. So Boy George co owns the house with the rest of the band, so they can live there too?

When McCartney was having renos done to Cavendish Road in the early 1970’s, I was walking by and noticed the workers had left the gate open. I wandered in the front yard, and they said he was in Cambelltown. I picked up a pebble and a leaf before exiting. Outside was a tip and I got a music magazine with some writing in it I am sure is Paul’s. Still have them. The pebble and leaf are now encased in acrylic and sitting on a shelf in my bedroom. 😊
Phillimore Gardens & Bishops Avenue, along with Kensington Palace Gardens are the 3 richest streets/rds/Ave in London. Bishops Ave the houses are £200-350m for some, King of Brunei, Mittal Steel dude & some other Philanderophers, well rich rich blokes, would be a lovely 1m walk.

I think I am right in saying that Robbie Williams bought his house from the Estate of the late Michael Winner, the film producer and later writer and restaurant critic.
The William’s had all the lovely palm trees in the front garden pulled down when they took over Michael Winner’s house. Such a shame - they were beautiful. By way, it’s not The Tower, it’s Tower House.

Amazing tour ! This makes me want to go back to London ASAP !
Boy George's house my god, what a beauty 😮
Thank you for making my head escaping from Paris 😊
Come back and see us!
Eltons slumming it with that property lol
Jimmy pages house is beautiful. Full of character imagine all the things inside. Need great security.
This was fascinating Sinead. Thankyou.
We'd LOVE a cheeky look inside!
@@ToursbyFootLondon yup
Very good
I’ve seen all of these places years ago
I enjoyed that cheers
Glad you enjoyed it, Mark!
What an experience! We are glad you enjoyed the video :)
Seeing how popular this one was, we think we will have to do another, Edward!
What an amazing story, Kath!! Thank you for sharing with us.
I got to see Richard Harris in Camelot live at the Civic Center in my hometown of Oklahoma City in the 80's.♥
Amazing!! We are so jealous.
I loooove❤❤❤ this video ❤❤❤.
Thank you so much🎉🎉
So delighted you enjoyed it x
Sinead, those homes are the sight to see from the outside. I can only imagine how beautiful they are on the inside. If I could pick one, it would the Boy George house, the yard has lots to trees and room to move around. I hear that after living there for 40 years his house is for sale right now??? Sinead my break time is up -- back to work. I will finish the rest of the vid when I get home.... Thanks for your time, work, posting and enjoy your coffee...................
mike
Think the sale fell through , from what I’ve heard some trouble amongst the band members , one of which objected to the sale
Something g to do with royalties
Trouble in Culture Club Paradise perhaps ?
Boy George is bankrupt because his manager is a hardcore gambler.FACT.
Well, if you live by the dice and cards you'll die by the dice and cards.@@DeaconessPemberton24

You are most welcome!
THANK YOU SINEAD I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW WHERE THESE PEOPLE LIVE AND WELL EXPLAINED TOO THANKYOU 👍⚘
You are most welcome!
Those London house prices are truly eye watering!
Indeed!
Ahh - we love that!!
Brilliant Sinead,most enjoyable.Thank you👌
You are welcome, as always, Brenda :)
I believe that Robbie won. But on the condition all the digging was done by hand. What a win for Page.
Holland Park is where Edina Monsoon lives. Or was it Shepherd's Bush? Also, that picture of Robbie is wonderful. He is so handsome. 😍
Holland Park Darling,Holland Park "😂😂
I thought the same thing when she said Holland Park !
The houses re huge, but close together
Hah - yes!
Well done Sinead 👏👏 well done all really well put together 👏👏👏👌🏻❤️
Glad you enjoyed it, David!
Very interesting loved it thanks
Glad you liked it, Jim!
Thanks for sharing 👍
A pleasure x

Phillimore Gardens & Bishops Avenue, along with Kensington Palace Gardens are the 3 richest streets/rds/Ave in London.
Bishops Ave the houses are £200-350m for some, King of Brunei, Mittal Steel dude & some other Philanderophers, well rich rich blokes, would be a lovely 1m walk.
Love Holland Park. 32 Clarendon Road Holland Park is the exterior use of Edina Monsoon’s house on Ab Fab. I found it when I was in London in 2014.
Yes! Great tidbit, thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for this video, Sinead. Ava Gardner moved to London in the late 1960s and lived at Ennismore Gardens in Knightsbridge from 1972 until her death in 1990. Must look up the old Hollywood stars who lived in London. Edited to add, quite a few famous people lived at The Savoy.
Oh you must be psychic - we have a list of older stars homes we are hoping to turn into a video, also :)
This was a good video.

The William Burges interiors of Jimmy Page's home are absolutely extraordinary. There are plenty of photographs online.
Someone told me about this on here
Had a look it’s magnificent x
So expensive to be on a busy street 😂
Give me my little charming NY quite home with garden
So true, Kate!
wonderful, I should be working but this was far more interesting :)
I think I am right in saying that Robbie Williams bought his house from the Estate of the late Michael Winner, the film producer and later writer and restaurant critic.
He did!!
Oh I always thought that M Winner had a house on Holland Park?
Love the extra info, thank you!
Yes I was going to write this too
The William’s had all the lovely palm trees in the front garden pulled down when they took over Michael Winner’s house. Such a shame - they were beautiful. By way, it’s not The Tower, it’s Tower House.
Freddie Mercury ..... that is a pilgrimage. 💖
Very informative and interesting 🧠🤝💚

The Queen/Freddie Mercury "Garden Lodge" at15:05 was previously owned by the oldest private banking family the C. Hoare & Co. "Hoares Bank". Freddie joking referred to his home as the "Hoare House" when throwing his parties or bring home guests. Aside from Garden Lodge his place he lived in Montreux in the 80s keeping on out of the mainstream limelight was directly on the shores of Lake Geneva, and Freddie dubbed it "Duckingham Palace" with the British and Queen connection
This is amazing information
Thank you
Sinead
Fascinating Thanks again John in Chicago
Our pleasure, John, as always :)
