You totally neglected how Sergeant was actually doing good and then Williams forgot he existed and left him out on worn hards and then pulled a Ferrari moment later.
although not a fan of the sergeant family, I was happy for him that he almost had a clean race and didn't destroy the car. hanging on the chance of prooving him f1-worthy.
And then he nearly shunted for no obvious reason anyway lmao
Suzuka rescheduled "to reduce the sports carbon footprint" yet we still make 3 separate trips to the US and 2 separate trips to the gulf, because money. If they were serious about reducing the sports carbon footprint, we wouldn't be racing in Saudi or the gulf, and the other races would all be grouped geographically

Literally. Also, wouldn't it be more beneficial for the drivers' getting acclimated to time zones and jet lag if they were clustered geographically? That never made sense to me.

Sargeant actually drove a really good race, getting up to p12 at one stage. Unfortunatly it still looks like he is struggling with what to do at a right turn.
The slow pitstop killed his race, then he copied Charles and Checo by going straight at turn 9
Probably because American race cars only turn left so he never really learned about ✨the other direction✨ during his upbringing

@@Luke-kv9ew Maybe go rewatch the race or even this video. He was part of the 5-6 car battle for p10 where he was in p12 for quite a few laps. Also don't forget that the car he was in was completely obliterated by his teammate and crashed again by himself that weekend. He lost out in the pitstop where all of those cars pitted due to Williams botching the pitstop and then finally screwed himself over by forgetting how to turn right. But before the mishaps and mistake he did have the pace to battle and overtake other cars and that is an improvement from his usual pace of being at the back the entirety of the race.
I could have watched the race live on Sky, the repeat on Sky or god forbid C4, instead I waited until this evening and watched these 12 minutes and apart from missing Ted's notebook, I have learnt all I need to know, without losing any sleep, money well spent on Will.
Likewise. But how much more entertaining this was! Thank you Will. As ever, your really do bring some very very much needed humour and let’s be clear too, honest truths about F1. I just love it! Cheers!

I'm not going to stan for danny R but the crash was just unfortunate, and, I think he was actually getting to grips with the car better this weekend, only a little bit off Tsnuoda. Problem for Dan is he needs to be blowing Tsunoda away if he wants that Red Bull drive.

RedBull is dominate, Fearrai is the clear #2, Sainz’s revenge Tour is going amazing, Hamilton seems to not care. And Yuki Is still smashing Ricardo’s face in
Logan finished the race without trashing Albon's botch job. I consider this an absolute win.
I liked the "playing hide and seek to try and stop James Vowles from stealing his car again" joke.
Any race where Logan Sargeant dosent crash is considered good race for him.
Actually, fun fact, this is the *second* F1 season to have started with 4 1-2s in a row. 2019 actually takes that stat still with Merc scoring 5 consecutive 1-2s. Either way, enjoyed the vid as always Will

Honestly there is no excuse for him this weekend, much better in quali (for 2024 anyway) had an awful start and crashed into Albon at T3
2019 had 5 consecutive Mercedes 1-2 finishes to start the season
4:49 mentioned in the last video as I wasn't 100% sure but I am now this is definitely ace attorney music 😊
couple of things i really liked about the race, alonsos BRILLIANT defending by using piastri as a buffer, just class, and strolls quick little overtakes in the S's was quite enjoyable too
Yuki can have his great drives, he finally had one in his home of Japan
When the most exciting thing about a race is someone overtaking a HAAS .
Given his overall relative lack of experience, Tsunoda is driving well this season..
I meab, 4th season in the sport, not really a rookie anymore.

Yeah 4 seasons is a long time in F1. To give examples of other midfield drivers (not going to use Max/Leclerc/etc as it’s not fair)
In Gasly’s 4th season he completely dominated his teammate
In Ocon’s 4th season he won a race and almost matched Alonso in h2h
In Albon’s 4th season he dominated his teammate and was dragging Williams up the grid
In Hulkenberg’s 4th season he handily beat his teammate and a McLaren in points
The point is this kind of performance is what is expected of a driver in their 4th year at a team
Sargeant’s car literally broke before the FP1 crash, you can see from the onboard he turns the wheel and the front wheels don’t turn at all.
The Williams jokes are absolute f-ing gold😂😂😂
Thanks as usual for making F1 bearably interesting through comedy. Next time you're in the states check out a 24 hours of lemons race. I think you'd enjoy a series where comedy is the goal and racing is the side effect (rather than the other way around)...

I've been loving the starting times over the last 2 grand prix weekends. Living in San Francisco, the majority of qualifying & race times during the season are butt ass early for us on the west coast of America. So it's pretty fcking nice when they start at 9 or 10PM. Instead of 4 or 5AM!
I had some fun with that race, the overtakes into turn 1 were quite spectacular!

Well, funny like always but regarding the race I almost fall of the chair when watching it (thanks to all of the action hahahahaha...) and thanks to the universe I had some espresso to stay awake. So, yeah, another, of this races, kind of "MAYBE I REMEMBER THIS RACE IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE OF.....................HM??"

This might be the first full F1 race I have seen since the season Senna died. Except for some Monaco parades. I was watching with a friend who is a fan, and he got me up to speed.
I enjoyed it. There was a lot of action, if not at the lead. Taking the fueling out definitely changes pit stops. And that deal where the wing changes profile is pretty cool.
Yeah, I enjoyed it.
You missed a perfect opportunity to throw in a, “roll that beautiful bean footage” and have a can of Bush’s Beans spin outta the screen

Sainz had a good race. He was passing everyone and was first for a bit but then he had to pit. Not saying he would have definitely won had he pit before the two Red Bulls but it's worth noting that Max was not first the entire time. Imagine passing Max for first only to hear "Box, box," just seconds after.
I thought it was a pretty darn good race. I know it's not for everyone, but I like the tension that comes from having people on multiple viable strategies and trying to work out how everything pans out. Leclerc's drive was honestly exceptional in making the one stop strategy work, both he and Ferrari deserve credit for coming up with a good strategy and actually executing it. Just... forget about that one mistake at Degna 2 (although his reaction to the mistake was pretty darn good, making sure he ran wide enough to avoid the kerb damaging the floor).
This video was as fun as Ricciardo turning right in turn 3. How many more races before people start to realise a nice smile will only get you so far. Not only did Danny boy anger the RB family but he made sure to include James and the entire Williams team, ruining their chassis. I was going to mention that maybe Danny Ric should try his hand at Nascar, but Nascar takes left turns and we all know wich way the number 3 car turned in the obvious left bend of Suzuka's turn 3.
Daniel took one for the team to ensure Williams would never have a chance to catch up to RB. What a team player!
FP1 never heard of Google and is probably a DTS fan cause he said that first time a season has started with 4 1-2.
