I’m a nascar fan and I’m filled with envy when I listen to an Indy broadcast. Absolutely phenomenal in the booth. This product was electrifying. I cannot stop watching those final 2 laps. It feels like the most important thing in the world, and I’m so angry at myself for not catching it live.
Everyone was struggling on the outside line, except Newgarden…he was destroying everyone through that outside lane. He had insane grip with that #2. That last pass on the outside for the win on Pato was out of this world.

I witnessed STING RAY ROBB lead multiple laps under green in person. Thats a once in a lifetime moment. Grestest race in the history of the universe.

I'm an F1 fan and have never properly watched an Indycar race. I watched the Monaco GP beforehand and it was dreadful. This- one of the best motorsport races I've ever watched. Consider me an Indycar fan.
My first time seeing the Indy 500 in person and we sat in SWV 18 at the exit of turn one. Nearly all the crashes/cautions occurred near this part of the track.
This was an absolutely INSANE Indy 500. One of the best of the past few years. A lot of yellows, but the racing was terrific. Edge of my seat the entire time.
Problem is when crofty does it f1 (for example) people whine abt it saying hes way too annoying and hes too loud.aybe energetic commentators is an american thing.
Meantime in NASCAR, Mike Joy has gone stale, Kevin Harvick is a bit too "Gen Z" for most folks' tastes, and Clint Bowyer is an embarrassment to the booth

Congrats Newgarden, you definitely earned it! To O'Ward, hold your head up high. That was an amazing race and your time will come. I'm sure of it.
Agreed. He had corrected his issue on the restart earlier in the race and was definitely moving up the field. I hope he comes back next year and tries the H1100 again.
Last year, he finally won the greatest spectacle in racing in his 13th try after 12 years of frustration. This time, he just became a new clubber in his own right, joining Castroneves in a back-to-back win wall
O'Ward is showing improvement every year and there's only one outcome to him improving for next year: A win. It took Newgarden quite a few years to get his first, so have patience, O'Ward's 500 victory will happen.

Congrats to a true champion in Joe New! He stayed around at the front all day, had flawless pit stops and made great passes all day to become a 2 time winner!! 🏆
to be fair, literally no f1 fans want monaco at all. The qualifying is amazing, but the race is a complete joke. The lap 1 red flag made it the worst ive ever watched.

@@mattv3237 yes, it would be perfect if it came down to some sort of a time trial. But motor racing is impossible at Monaco now. Just look at how Russell, Tsunoda and Alonso managed to literally block the field without any fuss. That was painful to watch.
The cars are too long and too wide for a comparatively narrow surface.People say ovals are boring but there are multiple passing opportunities per lap and they go by pretty fast. At Monaco it might take 4 laps to set up 1 pass.
Not an auto racing guy but watch Indy 500 as a Memorial Day weekend tradition every year…Leigh Diffey really does a great job here…. Enthusiasm without being overbearing
He's special, and I'm sure will be back. He was running top 10, up to 6th for much of the time even with the restart mistakes. Give him a full season in a good ride and lookout.

It's tough because in practice, you don't get the simulation of race-day conditions(especially on the start) when going slower in turbulent dirty air. Sucks for Blomqvist, I like watching him in IMSA. But even moreso for Ericsson

Amazing driving by O'Ward and Newgarden there at the end. 🇲🇽 🇺🇸 I've no doubt Pato Owards time will come and he will win one of these years , he is very talented and Mexicans must be very proud he represents them. I've gotten to meet him a couple times and he is a very humble guy 💯
Being a Hoosier myself there's no race I look forward to more than the 500 I've been a newgarden fan since the first time i saw him race these last 2 500s have been out fuckin standing couldn't be happier as a fan and for his wife and son Josef is a great racer and all around great person so well earned and deserving 🎉🎉🎉
Larson was getting better and aggresive as the race went on. soon as he slide those tires, i knew it was over. I dont think this will be the last we see Larson at indy.

i woke up at 5 am, and sat at the track soaked for almost 8 hours, and i would totally do it again.
My first Indy 500, in person. What a race! The atmosphere was insane, the last 20 laps, especially towards the end of the race!

they penalized Larson, but left Dixon Scott free... tough for Larson
