It was like watching three different races at once: Max doing a 50 lap time trial, then positions 2-9 doing excellent pit-stop strategising to find themselves in predictable positions, and finally 10-18 was an epic scrap with great racing and lots of overtaking.

I think Haas actually comes 6th this year in constructors. That would be insane to say a couple weeks ago. But they have the best straight line speed outside of Red Bull. They have a good car on their hands and I'm glad to see.

Honestly, while Bearman was a worthy Driver of the Day for coming in at short notice on one of the tougher tracks of the year and performing as well as he did - especially considering his age and inexperience - I would have gone for K-Mag. His impression of a hockey goon was perfect team play, and he managed pretty much negate the penalties by racing off into the distance once he'd done his job of getting the Hulk back out in 10th. And besides, him smashing into other cars and cutting corners so he can keep holding them up was the most entertainment the race had to offer.
Driver of the Day, after incurring 20s worth of penalties…. Yeah… I’d give it to Hamilton for holding off Oscar for so long in a slower Mercedes. He preserved those medium tyres so well.
I don't think I'll ever understand people that bitch about a dude or a team being great rather than holding the entire sport accountable for not being good enough to compete.
And a couple years back when Mercedes couldn't stop their cars bouncing around so they changed the rules instead of telling Mercedes to fix their cars. That rule change undoing a decent part of what the new rules were meant to do ie have closer racing.

Rules say the car can't move when the red lights are on. He clearly moved under red lights. So they didn't penalize Vettel 5 years ago, does that mean the rule is null and void? I think there's definitely a British bias, both among the stewards and definitely with the Sky F1 lot (with the notable exception of Martin Brundle). Did anyone count how often the words "British driver" were uttered today on the International channel? Someone do me a favour and count and then compare that number to the mention of any other driver or nation. Sky are beyond pathetic, they really are. They also said the reason they didn't give a penalty was that Vettel did it in 2019 and they didn't penalize it. Which begs the question, why bother have the rule if it isn't enforced...
People are quick to forget how boring it was when Vettel was dominating or when Shambleston was dominating in the Merc for years, or how when Schumacher was doing the same..... Long may Max dominating continue.

Pirelli has been the cause of boring races since so many years and no one bats an eye. The tire compounds are way too durable for any sort of strategic racing.

Props to the SA track for thinking outside the box and coming up with a rollercoaster! Even if only the royalties of the world can afford it, it’ll be a great way to bring in more funding for improvements to the track (safety, resurfacing, that new mario kart section, etc).
Is it just me or one of the cameras during the race had its saturation cranked up a tad bit too high? I almost mistook a McLaren for a Ferrari for just a moment.
I thought it was a great time, especially compared to last week. The Bearman absolutely smashed it, and that whole mess of cars stuck behind the Haas team was good fun to watch.
I didn't finish watching Bahrain. I heard the results beforehand and maybe about halfway through, nothing had happened to I left. With Jeddah, I looked up the results, saw it finished Verstappen and then Pérez. Saw the field spread and said nah
