    What do you guys think about the quality of the Raw images? I'm pretty impressed.

      So what about the raw image from the 14 pro versus the raw image from the 13 pro?

    If not for the camera improvements, I would probably have gotten an iPhone 13 at a substantial discount. As it is, I have pre-ordered a 14 Pro. I'm moving up, BTW, from a 6s Plus, so it will be quite interesting to see what I can do.

    I picked up my iPhone 14 Pro Max on Friday morning and I am loving the RAW mode, 48mp of pure goodness. Opens up so many uses compared to having to drag my Nikon with me everywhere, unless on a dedicated shoot now.
    Superb phone. Best £1300 I’ve spent in a while… and I say that having bought it for photography use and not primarily as a phone.
    -
    It’s second on my list now besides the DJI Mini 3 Pro, and that’s only 1st because my iPhone can’t fly. Yet…
    EDIT: The macro setting is also spectacular! Something that was missing from previous iPhones.

    • @photoshopcafe
      @photoshopcafe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. I bought the phone for the camera upgrade. You could always shoot raw with the Lightroom app, but it’s so much better with the sensor upgrade

    The 14 pro models have a more natural, film like aesthetic to it. Not exact film, but much closer than the previous models and more enjoyable to edit in Lightroom.

    As a photographer myself I was wondering if you had the “photographic styles” which is in the camera settings set to the same option on both the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 14 pro when you were doing the comparison shots? Cause that can obviously change the color of the pictures… I upgraded from the 13 pro to the 14 pro and although I haven’t had the chance to shoot any shots with it really, I can totally tell that that it’s better than my 13 pro.

    Thank you for the awesome video. Laguna Beach ? Btw I was waiting for the charging port to be USB C, I know I can charge it wireless but when I travel I don't want to have an extra item in my backpack, or just one odd cable just to charge my phone, is not fun to pull two or three cables out of the backpack and none of those is the one for the iPhone, I hope this make sense. So until next version then.

    Is it possible to check raw pictures on iPhone and also editing on iPhone as well or only on a computer?
    And can I upload the raw picture to Insta or Facebook or whatever ? Or only the 12 mega pixel picture

  • @TheKimNeeper
    @TheKimNeeper ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't think Google extract the extra resolution from their phone, it was some very clever mathematicians at Apple who realised how to get really high resolution out of the quad bayer sensor. BTW, a lot of your photos are relatively low light, it loses a lot of resolution in the shadows in low light. In bright sunny scenes, the 14 Pro Max exceeds the resolution and dynamic range of my 24 MP full frame mirrorless...

    Just picked up 14 Pro Max 2 days ago, and still enjoy using it. I wonder if you could tell me what do I choose between 12mp Proraw vs 48mp Proraw if I want the best quality possible beside resolution? I guess 12mp Proraw with Bigger Pixels (Quad Bayer) should better overall right? Love you vid especially very details 🎉

    Thanks for your comparison of the two iphone cameras (13 vs 14). I am now convinced not to upgrade to the 14 as the improvements in the cameras from the 13 are microscopic, and without pixel peeping are pretty much indistinguishable. I feel like you're putting on a hard sell for the new unit. Nevertheless you're still my absolute favorite Photoshop master. Cheers

      Professionals use dedicated cameras, not phones :) and benefits of raw files you can get inside your phone with simple software.
      Just ... There are 200-300$ phones who have decent cameras and can shoot raw for many years, before this Apple's "upgrade".

  • @ddudek85
    @ddudek85 ปีที่แล้ว

    You are incorrect on 2x setting. Unless you shot in RAW, it will give you full-res 12mpixel photo, just like 1x does.
