I knew about this band since I was a kid but didn't ACTUALLY get into them until the 10th anniversary of The Black Parade. Since then, I've kinda realized that out of all their contemporaries, they're by far the closest to being a legitimate, traditional rock band (well, without the sex and drugs). Compared to Fall Out Boy, Panic!, All-American Rejects, and more of that scene, MCR legitimately rocked the hardest out of all of them. I'll always respect them for that.
For me they're super special because they are the reason I decided to be a musician. And I agree, I think of all those bands they stayed true to their style. Besides they introduced me to metal music! They have a lot of heavy metal influence in their songs and playing. Thanks for watching!

I love all their albums about equally, but my favorite material is their post-Black Parade stuff (Conventional Weapons, Danger Days, Mad Gear, and Fake Your Death) for the most part, but I have to admit that the riffage is way more memorable for the first two records! I LOVE Sorrows, but for me, I personally prefer the intro to Halos! Also super glad to see BMIB get it's shine
