    Awesome list! I love all their albums about equally, but my favorite material is their post-Black Parade stuff (Conventional Weapons, Danger Days, Mad Gear, and Fake Your Death) for the most part, but I have to admit that the riffage is way more memorable for the first two records!

    Somehow I managed to never listen to Thank You For The Venom when I went through my initial phase of listening to MCR. Coming back and listening to that song for the first time instantly made me pick up my guitar and start trying to learn it lmao.
    Subjectively I'd probably have songs like This Is How I Disappear and I Never Told You What I Do For A Living in my list but tbh thats cause I'm not as familiar with their first album. Personal preference aside, awesome video! I've gotta go give I Brought You My Bullets a full listen at some point here.

    I knew about this band since I was a kid but didn't ACTUALLY get into them until the 10th anniversary of The Black Parade. Since then, I've kinda realized that out of all their contemporaries, they're by far the closest to being a legitimate, traditional rock band (well, without the sex and drugs). Compared to Fall Out Boy, Panic!, All-American Rejects, and more of that scene, MCR legitimately rocked the hardest out of all of them. I'll always respect them for that.

    MCR guitarists are so underrated

    • @CarloFenrir
      @CarloFenrir  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree, I mean they are super famous, but I do think that their guitar work and skills are kinda ignored. However, idk if it's a bad thing, people are really paying attention to what it's important, their music as a whole.

    Apparently they were listening to a bunch of At The Gates' "Slaughter Of The Soul" during the writing and recording of "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" which explains a LOT of the early riffage

      Oh, now I remember watching that interview. Of course! And it makes a lot of sense because Metalcore is, at some extent, practically Melodic Death Metal with clean vocals and different lyric topics. Hope you liked the video. Thanks for watching!

      @CarloFenrir  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      IMO they don't sound emo as a band. I think it's just their band image. Emo were more like From First to Last, Underoath, Asking Alexandria, etc. Thanks for watching!

      @CarloFenrir  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Haha I wouldn't say they're trash I like black parade and some songs in Danger Days. However, by the time Black Parade was out, I was already in love with metal music in general. So Black Parade and Danger Days were too light for me at the time and I didn't give them any attention at all. Thanks for watching!
