All the guys’ solo projects really showed MCR dissected. It’s so interesting. Gerard’s storytelling, Frank’s raw emotions, Ray’s technical perfection and Mikey’s catchy rhythms. I hope their time off from each other has re-inspired them and strengthened their individual qualities. If that’s the case the next record is going to be one for the history books.

MCR, and Frank in genral, has some of the most interesting harmony ever played on guitar. He uses power chords not as a way to make a progression, but rather to add color and spice to a given progression. Its such an inspiration.

Been a fan since 05, this was fucking awesome to see. That octave run from Helena at 18:36 is so iconic to me, it influenced the way I write songs, sometimes I’ll say to myself “was that too Mcr?” Lol. Always wanted to see an in depth gear video like this from one of the guys, thanks for this.

WOW, got emotional when he was fiddling around and played the Ghost of you bridge hook around 2:20 on the acoustic. As a musician its so cool seeing that part how it came out of their brain initially.
So that's what happened to the guitar with the kids' initials on the back. Had noticed we hadn't seen it in a while. Also noticed that we didn't get to see some of his more recent acquisitions. That's a shame; there are some beautiful pieces in his collection. I always am amazed when I hear just Frank's parts because it really does bring this depth and grungyness to what ray plays, ray brings the beef and the main bits of the song that I thrive on and Frank adds all the thrashes and twirls and angry that I desire! No lie, I use Ernie Ball on all my guitars. I've had the same set of strings on my SE for almost two years. They still sound good and I haven't had any tuning issues so far. Best strings I've ever used.
