The hardest and craziest guitar solo I've learned so far... Necrophagist || Only Ash Remains
Crazy how after all these years, Necrophagist it's still one of Technical Death Metal top bands. This solo was the hardest to nail for me. A few years ago I made a video about it, but idk why I uploaded it, I didn't nail the thing back then, at least on video. So I finally did it! I was going insane...
I Hope they release the 3rd album one day and break the world.
It's pretty obvious but I don't own the rights of this song. I'm just a fan doing a cover.

This is not sponsored. A friend wanted to give me a gift and I asked for the cheapest pedal she could find but she don't know a thing about guitar gear so I chose it. Other thing that caught my attention was the fact that Amazon Basics has guitar pedals and I wanted to see how goo...

i miss them. everything about revenge is amazing. that album is what makes mcr, mcr to me - their whole soul is in it and it shows with all those sick riffs!! can't get venom anywhere else! ray toro and frank iero the legends you are!!!!
That's very true. I think that's their best album. Hope we get a new album with some 3CfSR vibes! But at this point idk if they are doing a new album... Thanks for watching!

Thanks man!
My fave guitar riffs were Give Em Hell, Kid and Thank You for The Venom ☺️☺️
Give em Hell and Venom always put a smile on my face. They sound so good! Thanks for watching!
How’d you get the wiring from the input through the body and a long enough harness
@@silverburst3112 My luthier added a larger cable to make the connection. I think theres a video in YT of a guy exactly modifying a JS32t Rhoads with EMG actives. He does that too. I don't remember the name but try to search the name of the guitar and emgs actives or something. Thanks for watching!
Good review bro, thank you.
Hey man! It was an unboxing and first impresions video. Sadly the review isn't gonna be positive as this video. Seems the guitar can't get intonated on the 3rd and 6th strings. My luthier told me the bridge on the guitar doesn't have the correct lenght, it needs to be a little bit back and that's why I can't intonate the guitar (othe guy commented that his guitar has that issue too). I tried to apply the warranty directly with the shop cause the amazon return window expired. But their "tech" told me that it was within the normal range. I know how to set my guitars up and I have never had that problem with a guitar, I own 8 guitars (that's why it took me a while to realize the issue, between life, more videos and stuff i didn't set it up right away and the return window on amazon expired). However I never thought that in 2024 I would have a problema like that, but hey, it happens. Sadly where I live I can't make the warranty valid directly with Epiphone because one of the official distributors is that shop. Sorry for the long story haha but if you are thinking about buying it check it out first. Idk if this is a common issue or I was unlucky. I'll go more in depth on the review. Thanks for watching!
Apparently they were listening to a bunch of At The Gates' "Slaughter Of The Soul" during the writing and recording of "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" which explains a LOT of the early riffage
Oh, now I remember watching that interview. Of course! And it makes a lot of sense because Metalcore is, at some extent, practically Melodic Death Metal with clean vocals and different lyric topics. Hope you liked the video. Thanks for watching!
deathwish?
It's a great song but I don't think it has a riff that changed my life as the others did. Thanks for watching!
Frank Lero was a really big influence as a guitarist for me.
For me too. Well, the entire band haha. Thanks for watching!
I'd say This is How I Disappear sounds a little influenced by metal as well, at least that was my first impression when I heard the song.
I agree! They have a lot of Heavy metal, Rock and Punk influences in their music. Thanks for watching!
My top to are definitely to the end and give em hell kid
To the End has something about it that I absolutely love. Thanks for watching!
You can really hear the iron maiden influence here
There's a lot going on but it's amazing how they mixed their influences and their style so well! And yes, I think they said that Iron Maiden was one of their influences. Thanks for watching!
hi i looked everywhere and couldnt find that preset. can u please send me the preset? i can give u my mail
Hey whats up! Look for the presets file on the Amplex folder, you have to load it on the plugin. It's there, if not, you can double check in the amplex webpage for the file. Thanks for watching!
Why did ytb recommend me this ONLY a year after ?? That selection's pretty cool, i share almost the same !
Hey! Have happended to me too! I'm glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching!
Where did you place the Noise Killer in your chain for this video? Between your guitar and amp input OR in the amps effects loop? Thanks - Richard.
Hey man! In front of the amp/input. The chain is Guitar - Noise killer - Amp (input).
@@CarloFenrir Cool, I was wondering if it would work for that kind of application. Thanks for the video and the response bro!
@TheJamSpace I think you can use it both ways, just depends if you are running more effects. In my case I'm just using the amp, and the noise gate is the only pedal. Thanks for watching!
The Black Parade album is too overrated.
I don't dislike it but idk it never clicked for me. I like some songs off of it, but I don't think I've ever listened to them like more than 3 times. 3cheers and I brought you my bullets have been on repeat since I was very young. But maybe it's because my taste in music became heavier and they went the other way with The Black Parade. Thanks for watching!
I copied your set up but it doesn't sound like that. What are the exact IRs? The Marshall 1960A G12Ms? (I don't have any Marshall 1960 G12M25 in all my redwirez library). And I get an almost clean sound, it has very subtle gain .
Those are the exact IRs. However look for them for the SM57 position. I think you need to load the J800 preset on the amplex and then dial all the settings. Don't forget the Overdrive. Hope I could've helped you.
Frank coming from a punk/HC background and Ray coming from a metal background, I think it gives them this style thats unique to the band while also being very accessible and enjoyable on the ears, while also leaving space for and complimenting Gerards theatrical vocal style
Yeah, they created a really unique and cool sound. But I think the most impressive and cool thing is what you say about how well everything blends with Gerard vocals. Thanks for watching!
It seems that what matters about this model is where the fretboard was made. Chinese is not very good, I have that one. Anyways the freatbord feels like an Ibanez, it is very fast and very light guitar, I use 0.9s, a change of tuners may be usefull
In Epiphone's website says the fingerboard is Okoume but idk if it was actually made in china. I actually like it. And yes the neck is pretty comfy. The only issue with mine were the frets, some were unleveled and the fret ends were sharp. Did you have any problems like that? And yes, I actually swapped the tuners for some Hipshot locking tuners. I'll do a full review later. But all in all, it's a great guitar for modding, great bones. Thanks for watching!
@@CarloFenrir I've been playing it quite a bit practicing and even recording. The fretboard feels very comfortable, fast. The intonation is not perfect. I tried calibrating and it is not perfect like other Epiphones.
@franke_ Man... I discovered the thing about the intonation a few weeks later, I never had that issue with any guitar. Long story short, I'm pissed haha. So the intonation problem is pretty common on other Epiphones? I can't get to intonate de 6th and 3rd string. Of course I'm doing a video about it, but I was trying to see if I just got a bad guitar or it was a more common problem.
@@CarloFenrir I've set a very low action, I don't mind a little string buzz. But the intonation is impossible. Other epiphones are good, it depends on the neck. I cant get the 4th string to intonate. But the body of the guitar is surprisingly light which is very good, its good for practicing. Im playing with 0.9s light and its awesome
Make a giveaway of a leftie guitar!!
Maybe at 10k subs haha
MCR guitarists are so underrated
I agree, I mean they are super famous, but I do think that their guitar work and skills are kinda ignored. However, idk if it's a bad thing, people are really paying attention to what it's important, their music as a whole.
I hope there’s full length versions lol
At least not from me :( but I'm planning to make the full cover of "Thank you for the Venom". Thanks for watching!
Great list, wondering where you would put It's Not A Fashion Statement though 😉
It's funny because that song is somewhat like "I'm Not Ok". They don't have a solid riff IMO (but they have a strong melody tho), but I really like those songs. In fact I love 3 cheers in its entirety. I think I'll be listening to it until I die.
honestly i wana do the same as you buy the jackson but, switch only the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan SH6B BLK do u think its a good ideea? im mostly looking for more of a black or death metal tone so yea.
Hey! The pickups should be actives to bypass the issue with the hardware paint not letting the guitar make proper ground (active pickups have their own ground cable and don't use the ground cable on the guitar). I was considering the Seymour Duncan Blackouts they are active and around the same price of the EMGs. I think any active pickup will serve you well for death/black metal because they are high output. In fact, I would love to try the blackouts on another guitar. Thanks for watching!
@@CarloFenrirI’ve got blackouts as they came installed on my Xseries Rhoads. They’re very good.
VAS A ROMPER LA SEXTA CUERDA PORQUE SOLO TOCAS ESA ....😂😂😂
yep, so agreed! give em hell kid is my absolute fav
That intro... Thanks for watching!
these are honestly excellent guitars, I've played for almost a decade and have owned some expensive guitars, these at least for me, are always a positive experience and I would even go as far to say that these guitars hold up well with almost any guitar. I have heard a lot of people bash them, but the guitar world is filled with pompous know-it-alls who love huffing their own farts more than actually enjoying guitar.
I couldn't have said it better. IMO this guitar holds up with any guitar, even expensive ones. It's a blast to play! Thanks for watching!
I have one of these. No hum - use a noise gate etc. It did need work though - sharpe fret ends - and needed fret levelling, so a few hours with a stewmac fret kisser, z files and micro mesh pad is required. These are expensive of course. Conclusion:Cheap and not very cheerful at first - but with work. Riffarama.
Mine had a lot of hum due to the paint on the hardware but was set up perfectly out of the box. That was my only issue, sorry to hear that. Thanks for watching!
riffs on there own dont sound emo more metalcore
IMO they don't sound emo as a band. I think it's just their band image. Emo were more like From First to Last, Underoath, Asking Alexandria, etc. Thanks for watching!
I started listening to them because of peer influence, when emo was a thing. Now, as a musician, I appreciate and can highly praise their guitar work everytime. Frank and Rey are geniuses on making countermelody guitar lines.
I listened to them before the emo thing became so big. But I always loved them, and still. Even tho I listen to death metal and super heavy music🤣. And yes, their guitar work is just top notch! Thanks for watching!
Long live My Chemical Romance ♥️
I'm waiting for new music with my black eyeliner in hand.
@@CarloFenrir hopefully we get a full album. Paper Kingdom would be sick. Gotta be a story behind Foundations of decay besides the obvious. What a great song tho.
Bury me in black and thank you for the venom is pretty heavy
Hell yes! Thanks for watching!
This is why I laugh when ppl back in the day used to write MCR off, I’m like dude this just tells me you’ve never actually taken the time to listen to their material. I would also add sorrows and the drop in This is How I Disappear
Yup, their musical work is top notch! Sometimes people just like to hate on some bands. I mean music is subjective, if you don't like it, move on. We have like thousands of music genres. Why bother. Thanks for watching!
hello man! i do everything but when i enable the amplex plugin the sound just doesnt come out
Ok. So be sure to open an audio track and then on the inserts or effects put the amplex first. Then be sure to load the preset on the amplex. Then put the IR loader on the chain and load the IRs. Hope I was able to help you.
@@CarloFenrir is there a preset for amplex or do i do it manually with what video says
When you download the amplex, it comes with some amp presets. Then you open the plugin and there's a little square on the middle if I remember correctly. There you load the preset I said on the video. I think that if there's no preset, the plugin won't work.
Where is honey this mirror isn’t the big enough for the two of us?
Love the song, I would put it in honorable mentions. Thanks for watching!
thank you for the venom was the first mcr song i started practicing and most likely my no. 1 favorite mcr song so im glad you ranked that as your no. 1 too lmao, legendary video
From time to time I listen to three cheers album, and when thank you for the venom hits, I still get chills! Thanks for watching!
thank you for the venom's riff is so acid
Ikr, and it's so fun to play. I still got chills when I listen to it.
Now this is a kind of soloing/lead playing that I really like
Thanks man! I really liked how that little part came out. I'm gonna try to make it a full song.
metal fans have terrible tastes
wtf are you on about are you slow? as a very big mcr fan i agree with this guy
The moment I read the title I was 100% sure thank you for the venom is going to be #1. First time I listened to the song I said to myself "this is the most metal riff I think they're ever composed" and well I was right haha
For sure! I think it's one of my favorite riffs of all time. Kind of Melodic death metal and metalcore. Thanks for watching!
thank you for the venom is a little off but its ok
Bury Me In Black sounds like something out of a A7X song
I am interested in buying this Jackson js32t because I have always wanted to have an RR model, but I have also been looking at Harley Benton models such as the sc-550 or the Amarok. I don't know if the Jackson is worth it, I don't know if it sounds good, if it plays well, is it comfortable? does it come with problems? thank you.
Watch my last video about it, I explain everything more in depth. However, it is a great guitar, plays amazing, stays in tune, etc. The only downside is that the paint on the hardware doesn't let the guitar make proper ground and it gets noisy. There's some options: use a noise gate (I made a video about a cheap one), trying to sand the paint on certain spots (I didn't have luck with that) or change the pickups for some actives (that's what I did) and it worked great, now is my favourite guitar so far. You can find some EMGs used for cheap.
Happy that Bury Me in Black is here.
Great song. I wish they could've recorded a studio album version, not just the demo. But great song nonetheless. Thanks for watching!
Not a floyd rose tho
There's a version with a floating bridge too. But I haven't tried it.
is oiling the fretboard a good idea......if so....with what......?
Once in a while to clean and condition it. The material on this fingerboard is Amaranth, look for an oil that you can use on that type of wood. As far as I know, amaranth is an unfinished wood fingerboard so you can use the dunlop lemon scented oil for unfinished woods. However, double check before applying it. A tip I discovered a while ago is that the oil that guitar brands use is mineral oil and they just put lemon scent on it, so you can save a couple of bucks buying just mineral oil. Despite this, double check the info. I know my way around giving my guitars a set up and stuff, but still. Thanks for watching!
doesn't sound like the video, sounds like sht
Are you using the amp plugin with the Impulse Response? If you are using just the amp, it will sound like crap. If you are using the amp and IRs try putting the amp first on the chain, and then the IRS loader with the IR. Hope I can help.
@@CarloFenrir what are the settings for the nadir loader?
Pretty much stock. I just mess with the volume faders. I use both sides left and right (where there's an image of a cabinet and you load the IR) but you can use just 1 and pan it. But for this one I used both. Just be sure you are loading the Impulse Response files. The IR is a wav file. If you have any trouble, I made a video about using amp plugins. In that video I go in depth on every step.
Good black riffs
Thanks!🤘
