Nicely done. I have had my 17 for 7 years and it has been fantastic. Still waiting to see a Type S against an earlier Gen 2 to see how much of a difference there is in term of performance.
If the Civic Type-R and the Integra Type-S are any indication, Honda/Acura won't make the same mistakes with future sports cars. The NSX Type-S should have been the new car from the get-go. It certainly would have justified or at least better justified the price point.
The irony of you crossing over a street named “Ridgeline” @ 8:55 LOL … but 100% agree w/you - the NSX seemed to be an incredible marvel in its own right, same as the 1st gen.
It’s a cliche, in the car world, to say but the Type S changes should’ve been made to the standard NSX from the get-go. I think it would’ve been more of a success. Oh well, next time it’ll be an all-electric appliance.

The first one was developed with the help of one of the greatest racing drivers in history, and was a Ferrari killer. This one........isn't either of those things. There's no way Acura could have any chance of trying to move these at $200K when the Corvette Z06 also has a mid-engine, and its sounds like a 458 Italia while this sounds like an angry minivan. Not to mention the Audi R8, which has one of the best sounding engines made in decades. The practical super car exists elsewhere. Acura isn't the only game in town, this always cost way too much for what it was. The interior looks $70K tops, and the old Civic radio was pathetic when the car was NEW.
Very nice car. Can't put my finger on why I don't respect this one as much as the first gen?🤔 If I could afford it, I don't want all of the technology and weight. A leaner, stripper version with no electronic motors would have been cool. Do people want to drive cars like this all year long?
Unlike the previous gen, this one has a hybrid battery. So you can't just garage it for the next 15 years and the value appreciate. The battery will be toast by then.
Always admired this car, sad to see it go. The sound was incredible at WOT but seemed terrible and truck like in the city. I think in this instance I would appreciate a synthesizer from Acura for engine sound.🫤

The cars I want in my collection, are from Honda and Porsche😂. S2k, 718 GT4, NSX (old and one in this vid), 991.2 GT3 or RS, and the S/T.

The gas engine charges the EV battery, not regenerative braking.
