She didn't talk much about it until it became politically convenient for her later life agenda. No hate, I love her, but celebs should keep their mouths shut on some subjects.
Willie Nelson once said 'There are two kinds of men in this world. Those who have a crush on Linda and those who don't know who she is!" I had a HUGE crush on her as a kid!
A Wonder Woman of rock. Weird? She looks like Linda carter . Too. Her, juice newton and Joan Jett would have made the ultimate female vocalist concert! Joan Jett opening up for juice with Linda as the main act . Nice that would have been a super trio concert!
I'm a former DJ in Canada 🇨🇦. When I played her music, the dance floor was always packed. She has a powerful voice that only a few female singers can match.
Just think of how she managed to always sound great no matter what the backing band or which tour. She had a commitment to excellence that goes beyond mere natural talent. The sound mix always allows her to sing softly or bang it out and be heard. That is more than coincidence or natural talent.
I was there. The greatest singer of her generation. She has no peer. She could sing anything and make it her own. She also had big time legends in her bands. Saw her three times, wish it had been 30.
Linda Linda Linda! When I'm listening to music over the internet I am always careful not to click on Linda -because if I do I know that I'm gonna be lost in her music for the next 3 hours. I regret that I only got to see her live in concert once. That chick filled arenas to the rafters for years.
Her voice has a nice tone, power and soul. She sings perfect pitch in live concerts and requires no auto tune in the studio. This is the singing quality of Linda Ronstadt.
guitarists with instantly recognizable licks: 1) Don Felder 2) Elliot Easton 3) Waddy Wachtel many more to list, though those three really stand out to me
Back in the '70s, when I was in my twenties, we were inundated with so much good music that I often wish I could go back in time and 're-appreciate' the really great stuff like this that has proven to be superior to anything else at the time.
I turned 10 in '70 and wish I went to more concerts later in the decade and the one following. I still have my records at least, thanks discwasher, they still sound great.
Crystal clear voice. Grab the microphone, let the music play and sing your heart. What a concept. Linda we miss you, from the guys on the bus. Blown kisses.
Fortunately I got to see Linda Rondstadt during her hey day, regularly, last time I saw was 1999, when she was touring her duet album with Emmylou, The Western Walls. I was lucky to see her with Don Henley and Glen Frye, also Waddy Watchell and Albert Lee & Andrew Gold.
Linda had a killer band backing her , they sound like the record , not a missed note , everything played perfectly and of course Linda's incredible voice and vocal style
Absolutely. They were all brilliant musicians. Linda knew how to surround herself with the best and the nicest. Those guys were talented but also nice. There is a concert in New York and she conducts herself like a fond mother with her boys and she was and they were.
the great ones always make it look so easy. Linda's voice is so powerful and so talented better than anything out there today. What range and ability to use the different registers.
The ultimate crossover artist Linda could sing it all and did!!! One of the greatest voices of generations it didn’t matter what genre it was she could float between them effortlessly Amazing talent ❤🎵
I was one very fortunate sixteen year old seeing Linda perform in Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens! It was the Simple Dreams tour. I was actually fifth row, center, floor! I was about twenty feet from her and of course I had a crush on her!
Linda Maria Ronstadt's contributions say she more than deserves to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame while she is still with us. Members Dolly & Emmylou have been in since 1999 & 2000 respectively. Linda's induction would also complete the Trio again. Get her in while she can enjoy it !
Looks like this might be from the original film taken at the time, although the volume could be better......just surprised anyone was filming this stuff back in '77. Glad they were. Big Ronstadt fan here.
I miss that too. Girls used to just stand and sing, didn't they? All that raunchy dancing now and no-clothes. I saw Cheryl on the Graham Norton Show on Friday and it was horrid. The girl can't really sing and the dancing? It was all legs splaying out in a really horrid, ungainly fashion and really not dancing but she is the future. Linda and Carol and Karen are the past for me but they are the ones I listen to because they just sing, and from the heart. @@rayva1
She's not just an amazing singer , she can make any song her own ! And she's the 1 true pioneer of country pop ! I can't wait for the arguments or raves !
This is my first time hearing the original of this song after only hearing my Dad’s band play it, but now as I have to learn it on guitar to fill in, I can now appreciate the goddess that Linda is and how amazingly accurate our new female vocalist is with her singing.
How can you top perfection? Her voice and presence, Waddy Wachtel and his string bending licks, brand new genre of music at that time and a cover of a great artist's song that's better than the original - all perfect. All forms of music were perfected from 1950 to the 1980s. Blues, Soul, R&B, Motown, Rock, Country, Punk, Metal, Rock, Southern Rock, Gospel...they left no stone unturned and nothing else for artists following them to invent. The greatest generation of musicians perfected everything new there was to do in thirty years. Amazing and somewhat sad for the generations of great musicians that followed who could neither be first nor perfect.
This is my favorite song because it's the first song I heard playing on an lp record at the preschool I went to 1981-1982, in Hollwood, California. (USA). All of us preschool students would sit down on the rug or get up and dance to Linda Ronstadt singing It's So Easy To Fall In Love. I can't believe I still have this memory from 42 yrs ago. The more I hear this great song, the more it brings me back to early times when I was just a 4 year old. I appreciate you and respect you so much, Linda Ronstadt. ❤
I bought this album of "it so easy" in 1976 when I was 16 years old, I like her song very much and she is very attractive and beautiful, she is a great singer.
What an outstanding voice she has, and when combined with her enthusiastic delivery, you had a terrific piece of live music. The first time I saw her in the 70’s she had Waddy and the boys backing her at Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens. That band was so good, at one point she left the stage so they could really let it out and got a standing ovation. Then much later he is in Keith Richards side band the Xpensive Winos, and Mr. they put out some serious quality.

I sure do miss the 70s, 80s and 90s. The music🎷 today is not even the same. Sometimes I wish I could find a time machine and go back in time. Life was much easier and everyone enjoyed life! Is this your favorite song?
My idol. When nobody cared really that she was of proud Mexican descent - glad I grew-up in the 70s. Great music made then. Thank you, Linda, etal.1❤
Me 2 i liked her70s songs way more than her 80s

Her voice has a nice tone, power and soul. She sings perfect pitch in live concerts and requires no auto tune in the studio. This is the singing quality of Linda Ronstadt.
Just pure raw talent. No fireworks, no glitz, no glitter, no autotune. Great backup band. Classic.
you got that so right

Waddy is an awesome guitar player.
Wady watchel guitar. Amazing.
I loved her growing up in the 70’s...before Pat Benatar & Whitney Houston...there was Olivia Newton-John & this talented lady named Linda🎤📻

She has a killer voice which is the main strength of hers
I think they helped her get a contract with Elektra/Asylum, where she probably made more $$$, than when she was signed to Capitol.
