This is just nitpicking but at 22:17 you showed that the last free spot on the guildhall was the leftmost spot at the bottom row (the one with the market reset), which is incorrect since you always fill from left to right, so the last free space is the rightmost available space (also depending on player count), thus the game does not end with a black market reset. Still always a joy to watch your tutorials :)

Rules question Rodney: for the Guildhall, what is the exact order of placement of workers when using that action? The rule book says “left to right, top to bottom”. Am I correct in assuming this means fill the top row, then the next row, and so on? Played with someone stating that there is no stipulation and the workers can be placed in lower rows before the row is filled.
Hey Rodney, There is one thing in the rulebook (at least the in hungarian version) which is somewhat unclear to us. We to interpreted the two, so to speak, "one action / meeple " locations (Guardhouse, King's Storehouse) as places where, if you have min. 1 worker there, you're able to play the relevant action(s - depending on the number of your workers at that location) in your turn, BUT after that, you can still put one of your workers where ever you want to. So, the "one action/ meeple" option works only if you put one of your own at said locations, or does it work already if you have at least one at "Guardhouse/King's...", and basically you end your turn when you put one worker at an available location?

Can you choose to play more than one worker on your turn? Like, place 3 in forest to get more wood? Also, in the top left space, where you build buildings, do the workers have to be placed in order, or can you skip to a “reset black market” space. Thanks.

Silly question. Gaining resources is a one time thing right? You do not get resources again from a worker you placed on a previous turn correct? You only gain more resources if you place another worker on that same spot?

This is something I’ve made a point of saying for the last few years, where I felt I was showing a substantial part of the game during setup, and then removing it in later parts of the video. Just didn’t want to create any confusion for people who saw things in one place at one time, and then they are suddenly gone.

Great video as always - question - was playing this on Tabletopia and got into a situation where I had no silver, only 1 worker, no workers in the prison. It seems I have no move that would allow me to reclaim or even capture my own workers since I need to pay at least 1 silver at the town center in order to perform a capture action. Is there any way to get workers back when you have no silver. Maybe via a debt card ? Thanks !
I posted the same question to BGG and got the following response from the designer Shem Phillips "You shouldn’t get yourself into this situation. But if you do, place your worker in the Silversmith to get money. Then spend your next turn retrieving one worker. On your third turn, place a worker at the Town Centre to capture all your workers from one location."

Hi, I have a questin concerning the building of the Cathedral. You said that advancing on the Cathedral can *Block* (18:20) other players from advancing. So if 2 players only decided to do the 3rd stage of the building the Cathedral and nothing more, all the other players can't advance, because he is blocking the way to advance?
I’m not looking at the board right now (traveling), but if there is no open space on a row to move up into, then a player on a lower level, can’t move up.

If you want to hire an apprentice from the second, third or fourth column, do you have to pay the fee each time you place a worker, or do you just place a worker, wait a turn place another then pay the Silver to hire an apprentice in the second column? (Assuming you don't want to place a silver on the first Apprentice in the leftmost space).
If you already have one worker there, then when you place a second worker, you would't have to pay any silver for a second level apprentice (each worker at the spot unlocks another column you can hire from without needing to pay silver).

Right, when you place a new worker, you total the number of your workers there and get the amount that would generate from all of them together.

I’ve used the cards from Runesaga for my two games (I don’t have Explorers), but haven’t played a game involving both Raiders and Shipwrights. Christmas sounds like a good time to try that.

When you go to the black market, you pick one of the locations, pay the cost and then resolve the related action once.

Hi, I have a questin concerning the building of the Cathedral. You said that advancing on the Cathedral can *Block* (18:20) other players from advancing. So if 2 players only decided to do the 3rd stage of the building the Cathedral and nothing more, all the other players can't advance, because he is blocking the way to advance?
I’m not looking at the board right now (traveling), but if there is no open space on a row to move up into, then a player on a lower level, can’t move up.

Hi guys, can anyone show me what is the 4 Resource market building cards?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by show them to you.
If you want to hire an apprentice from the second, third or fourth column, do you have to pay the fee each time you place a worker, or do you just place a worker, wait a turn place another then pay the Silver to hire an apprentice in the second column? (Assuming you don't want to place a silver on the first Apprentice in the leftmost space).
If you already have one worker there, then when you place a second worker, you would't have to pay any silver for a second level apprentice (each worker at the spot unlocks another column you can hire from without needing to pay silver).

I was stealing the taxes and getting resources from the black market. I had SO MUCH FUN!! I did lose the game, but it was actually pretty close in the end. We really had fun. Today we played Everdell. Man, Santa Claus was good to us!! We had some fun with that game too!!

Correct. If you want to remove a worker you previously hired, you can do that at any time.
