    Thanks to this video I was able to discover that that squiggly piece (the spring) should be one SOLID piece and not 3 separate ones 😅 thank you for your help!

    I have a similar type of switchblade. It's smaller but really cool. I took it apart a while ago and had the hardest time reassembling it! This is a very helpful video. Thanks !

    where can I get a replacement for the spring, I have a Tac-Force, Milano, model TF-428, the spring broke after just a couple of dozen openings.

    I had to take mine apart to take a few thousandths off the locking surface to get the knife to lock; that was easy; I've done that on other knives. However, I had never worked on a knife with a spring assist, so I wasn't sure how that went back in. Hence, your video was very helpful with that; thank you!

I dropped my black legion cyclone stiletto which by the way is spring assisted on the floor, now the rod that locks the blade into place is over extending and goinmg almost to the other side of the blade and takes a lot of pressure to push back and close the knife. is there a way to fix this?

    • @KedaWoodDye
      @KedaWoodDye  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Durplepurple94572 Sorry for the delayed reply on this. There is a pivot screw that attaches the blade to the handle. Loosen that up to allow for the blade to move freely, then slowly tighten that so the blade does not slip through the spine stop. Hope that helps out.

    • @shrumstein
      @shrumstein 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keda Wood Dye would the spacers being worn have an impact?

    • @KedaWoodDye
      @KedaWoodDye  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shrumstein I believe that would have some impact. You could just get some new washers. You could also gently bend the blade spring, to release a little of the tension on the spring. I had to do that, just because my Son's kept over extending all the time. I think it is because I had to have the pivot pin bolt a little looser so the blade would open with the assist, but if I had it too loose, the blade would constantly over extend.

      @KedaWoodDye  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marcus Uhler you may need to disassemble the spring assisted knife, realign the blade to how it is supposed to be, and it should work just fine again. I am not sure the kind of spring assisted blade you have, but perhaps the spring assisted stiletto repair video can give you some type of guideline? Just mark all your screw locations to which hole and it should be pretty easy to fix up :)
