Interesting video! I used to see ads for these kits in Guns and Ammo magazines, but never ordered as I live in Canada and customs would seize them, even though they were incomplete!

And thank you for this post, i ordered a 10” tiawan stiletto from direct knife sales it just came in the mail a earlier today, and since i didn’t know how they work, i thought it was broken hahah, and i was fucking with it trying to “fix” it, and then a pin fell out, and right after that, a metal thing fell out (which i suspected was the spring) and so i looked on your video to see if i can potentially reassemble it and make it work somehow, and all i really needed to know was exactly how the spring was laid in the handle and RIGHT as i saw you similar looking spring, i knew to just copy where yours was and WALA!! ITS FIXED!! IM SO STOKED YOU HAVE NO IDEA! I cant stop flicking the fuggin thing! Im such a moron that i actually emailed that company (luckily its night and nobody was able to read it before i deleted it) complaining that it was broken and how i was disappointed hahah JEEEZUS! Thats a lesson in speaking too soon. I ordered a taiwanese made 10” automatic stiletto with imitation pearl handles, and a little 6$ mini automatic pocket knife called a duck mini from that directknifesales.com, AND i got a kreiger assisted opening stiletto with a wood handle from budk.com, and i must say, the kreiger feels really solid and well built! Im new so i dont have anything really to compare it too, but it feels well made and there’s absolutely no wobble in the blade! I feel i got bit by a knife bug and im getting addicted to collecting these things now. Its like guitars too, theyre soo fun to look at, and dream of buying

8/32 = 1/4 Very helpful video. I have been interested in these kits. I like the customization you have done, particularly those solid brass bolsters. They're bad to the bone.
The 2 switchblades I bought just online both have flaws, the little one has a weak safety slide, & the big one has a blade that doesn't go deep enough into the handle when closed & sits too far forward when open. I know how to fix them, I just lack the tools to do so. I wonder if this guy could help....
Do you where I can get a set of the rivets that hold it together? I need to take my knife apart and doubt they will be reusable. I have a problem where the knife won't open. I want to take it apart and see if I can figure out how to fix it. Thank you for taking time to make this video.

I have a 10 1⁄2" Chinese Italian stiletto new from Direct Knife Imports. When I press the button all the way down the blade will open!! The blade will not disengage the hole in the knife, something is out of adjustment! What is the best way to fix that?

Is it real Italian parts or china?? Still cool eather way but Italian is so much better then china no comparasion its like trying to compare a fake/clone benchmade to a real benchmade they may look alike but or nothing like eachother i used to get knock offs then wish started letting you talk to the companys that the knifes they sale come from so i figured what the hell il see how honest thes guys are so i asked are thes real or clones knock offs he told the truth said knock offs he even said if your new to getting knifes thes may be ok but if not or if your getting a knife to protect your life then i have to tell you to please save up the $$:to get the real thing because it will much more likely work to protect yourself with so straght from the horses mouth they are not the same at all
I haven't been able to find them for a while. For the last one I made, I bought an inexpensive stiletto, disassembled, and made new scales, bolsters, and customized the button. It worked better than the kit because all the parts fit together nicely. For mine, I used a pine wood that I had laying around, and used a shellac finish on it, giving it a nice amber shine with beautiful wood grain.
