My first switchblade was something similar to these. It was a real 1950's knife that my mom bought for me for my 15th birthday. They are traditional classics. But today I trust Cold Steel Ti lites. They resemble the classics but have major technological improvements and are very usable knives. Just bought the new model with the SV35N steel blade! Razor sharp. Excellent utility and last line of self defense.

I bought a $30 Lightning OTF from these guys 3 years ago. It's been cycled north of half a million times, beat to sh*t, oversharpened, dropped, treated as a toy, and outright abused. Still crisp as day one and no additional blade play. Best $30 I ever spent. Go Utah!
I have one of those Frank Beltrame stilettos but they are completely useless for most practical needs. I only open letters with it lmao. For everything else you are probably better of with a swiss army knive/leatherman kinda thing

One thing besides great looks and solid action you never mention the fact that these Italians vs Asian cheap stuff is not only is there no hole in blade but the spring and backbone are one piece. I have over 50 automatics in the collection Microtechs, Piranha, Benchmade, Gerber,Protech. 18 of those are Italians my favorite being a Latama Walts pickguard.
In Michigan - it is legal to open carry a switchblade. It states that you should have a three-inch blade - so nine inch stiletto has the proper length. I am looking to upgrade in a nine-inch. The Chinese made ones sold in the malls seem to be cheap versions of what you sell. They just do not have the crisp snap that the Italian made automatics have.

I would absolutely love it if you guys made a $60 left-handed stiletto. The otf Italian stiletto could be improved by making the button on the back of the bolster. This way it is closer to the original look and it would solve the lefty/righty issue. I would love to have one just like that with a 3.5'' blade and cocobolo wood handle with bronze torx or allen screws.
Ordered my knife because it said it was in stock and after weeks of not receiving it I called and they said that they were out of stock at the time of placing my order so? So no I set for two or three months longer and they have my money.
When I was a kid a friend sold me a switch blade he found at his mothers boyfriends house. I paid maybe $25 for it and had it for a couple years. I would carry it around feeling like an old gangster from the 1950s. Anyway it was a 8 inch stiletto blade with a mother of pearl handle on it. Was as sharp as a hammer like most of my blades back then. To young and inexperienced at sharpening blades. Well I had to toss the blade one night after working a late shift at a dinner. The cops kept driving past me and I got nervous so I ditched the knife in some bushes. The cops stopped me and frisked shortly after. I was grateful I ditched the knife. This particular cop was very aggressive and wanted to bring me in. If I had that knife on me then I was as good as arrested.
Besides the picklock being the traditional switchblade, I have several from the 40's and 50's in 11 and 13 inch. The newer models like the two dark ones you have on the right, besides having the swing bolsters also have the push button moved closer to the tip of the handle. The older traditionals still have the button in the middle of the handle. And gotta love those bayonet style blades.
Just love these knifes and i would love to buy from you. But, in my country, its so silly, you are allowed to own a stilletto but you need a special permit to buy one.

nobody calls it ''stiletto'' in Italy. being this the most classic defense knife, it is simply called ''coltello a scatto'' (automatic knife), but it has couple of slang names, it depends by the region. the most common is south italian name ''molletta'' wich litterally means ''tiny spring'' and refers to the blade estraction mechanism. It was commonly used for duels in 1800 along with the jacket wrapped around the other hand as a shield. If you like knives, you get lost in Italy, every region has a special knife with its own history and tradition. It is common belief in Italy that giving a knife as gift is bad luck for the receiving with exception for the famous Scarperia ''lover's knife'' lovers gave each other one as love proof.
i bought a blk handle italian style stiletto with 420 steel in munich in 2010 for 30 euro. i was sweating bullets when i flew it back to canada in my luggage.
