    Thanks for the review; just discovered you channel and subbed after checking out your great content! Would be interesting if you could do a comparison video between the Corolla Cross and the Crosstrek, which are probably the most popular compact SUVs.

    I really like a lot about it, go Toyota for making power liftgate an option. Word on the curb is that this'll have a Hybrid variant available to us in the States sooner than later.

    • @viewsonvehicles

      I agree, very likely to be a hybrid soon.

    We ordered our car July '21 from N. Shore Toyota in North Vancouver, but that car got sold to someone else.. Told were #1 on the waiting list. Then we were somehow #3. Told we'd get it in the new year, Jan. or Feb. Then we were told it would arrive Mid Feb. to March 1st. Now we're told the end of March. Can feel our leg being jerked around from home. Hardly worth the wait when there's so many other cars available, especially since the car's described as sluggish and noisy.

    Nice review. Some complain about engine noise under acceleration. This is partly due to the dual fuel injectors (Port and Direct) that Toyota uses. There's a full technical explanation by a Toyota Master Technician on Y/T at th-cam.com/video/KAFx9n_LP94/w-d-xo.html .

    • @viewsonvehicles
      @viewsonvehicles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the comment, John. The noise under acceleration didn’t stand out for me as much different than other SUVs in this class, but I definitely appreciate you providing a link to the video.

    If it had the option to turn off awd and go to only fwd the Cross would be very tempting to me.

    • @viewsonvehicles
      @viewsonvehicles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Toyota does sell FWD versions of the Corolla Cross, at least that's true in the U.S. Additionally, they made a point to say that it runs as an FWD small SUV unless drive from the rear axle is needed. I hope that helps.

    • @GPz84
      @GPz84 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@viewsonvehicles Helps a lot.
      I've grown fond of our Mitsubishi RVR and having the ability with the AWC to be in fwd only has been great. Decent fuel milage plus less maintenance on rear diff and transfer case plus tire wear is better.
      Next car we get will probably be it for a while and Toyota seems like a no brainer.

    I tell you what I DON'T like about it. We've had ours for just a bit less than a month. Toyota skimped out on the paint job inside the doors & the rear hatch. No clear coat! Just flat paint. That's bullshit! I wish I would have noticed it earlier. Was too excited about having gotten rid of our old Chevy Traverse. I plan on complaining about it later. It's not what i would expect from Toyota. Other than this, it runs good for a 4 banger engine, a helluva lot better quality than our old Chevy Traverse.

    The C HR failed because it was FWD not AWD like the H RV from Honda. I know Toyota had C HR AWD version in Europe why they didn't bring it here to the U.,S is stupid. Now as far as the C HR in the curves it's not a RDX AWD with torque vectoring..
    That Corolla Cross is perfect for NYC and I mean City. Parking and getting around in traffic and gas mileage.
    Toyota Corolla has a great reliability rating.
    Now as far a feature I think they should have made a Limited version with more features.
    I heard it also struggles on very hilly terrain.
