What does Toyota plan to do with all these unsold BlingTonkas, crush them?
Here in king county washington i have yet to see a single 2024 tacoma on the road. Let alone in the dealerships.
I understand inflation is real but at this point, I think that many of these jacked up "prices" are a result of corporate greed...
I recently bought a 2023 SR5 with 616 miles for $38k out the door. I feel so lucky to get one of the last V6 Tacomas.
My eye is on a TRD Pro, but I will wait. It is more of a want now than need. These prices are crazy, too expensive.
36k Colorado Trail Boss 2023. Custom ordered it love it zero issues.
Great to hear!
Last July my SR5 was $40,000 with the SX package. Long bed, 4x4 and double cab. Gooooffyyy.
A video for the average consumer. Well done sir!
It would have been nice to know what the comparison pricing for all competitors in this space are.
So glad I got a 2023 Tacoma TRD Offroad for 50k (Canadian!)
*These are Louis Vuitton purses 👛 for men. The Tacoma was a contractor's truck in 2000 and cheaper than a Corolla back then. Toyota KNOWS these are cubicle-rated posermobiles now and they are exploiting the insecurities of the buyer*
Don't hate me cuz I'm beautiful😂
4 cyl mini-truck that can’t tow crud for $70k!! No TY! Those headlights have tears for a reason😂
I was at a Nissan dealership for my girlfriend car to get a oil change with my Tacoma the sales guy say you want to trade it in our Frontier was around 47000
I said I will keep my 2019 its payed for
I’ll stick with my 3rd gen and rather put in money to built it vs getting myself into another hefty loan with a hefty price tag
To add insult to injury, that RC "LIFT" is just a spacer which costs like $200 and gives you a crap ride by extending the travel. Crazy that people are paying these prices! 😬
It’s madness…
These base level TRD Off Roads and the new TRD Pro prices are making the new Ranger Raptor (55k) and Colorado ZR2 (49k) looking like great deals right now.
Dealers in my area wanted 55k for a 3rd gen trd off-road in 2022. Shopped out of state and found the exact same truck for 40k. Toyota isn’t failing. It’s the dealerships. Don’t worry it’ll all be manufacture direct In a few years and dealership will only function a a delivery service.
More expensive too and they're not even made at the Tahara plant in Japan but rather Mexico. 🤔
There have never been Tacomas or tundras made in Japan, look up the chicken tax
No thx! I will hold on to my 3rd gen Tacoma forever.
How much was the 2023 trd pro in US?
I think pretty close to 51-53k some got theirs for around 47k.. just depends on location and dealership etc..
"We " are failing ...if Toyota gets rewarded w/ good sales at these prices. Consumers must "speak".
People will think the price for the pro trd is the price of the Tacoma while there is the trd for $50000 and lower modals for $40000. Over priced but I do not see any truck or car new or used that is not over priced.
In previous years before Covid I would get a truck every 3-4 years. After Covid not anymore…between increased costs on food, entertainment and everything else……increased truck payment is not possible
1000%! I wonder how many will get repossessed over the next couple of years.. outrageous!
It is all by design from your illustrious politicians.
These prices are outrageous. Don’t buy at those prices.
Dont forget the very high interest rates that brings these vehicles way too expensive. I dont know how much you need to earn per year to be able to afford this along with a roof over your head and food and utilities. Seriously.
Just rented a 24 trd offroad. Have it all week. Its a good little truck. Quicker than i thought. No gear hunting. That said, the engine noise screams 4cyl cheaper grade truck, while being 50-55k. No way I'd pay that much. Again, its a good little truck and it moves, its comfortable, stable, blah blah...but no, it should not be 50, 55k. Maybe 45k. Even that is rough, but fine, inflation. Not 55k.
100 percent made in Mexico! Mexico and china have one thing in common, there Quality sucks- soon the dealership lots will be flooded with these 50K tacoma 4 cylinder turbos!!!
🤣 I feel stupid for selling my 2005 Tacoma SR5 4x4 for $18k
When these first came out for a review. Their projected msrp was high 30k to mid 40k. Now they’re 60k+ now imagine what the landcruisers are going to cost that was projected 55k last year.
Looks like my 2004 will stay with me for years to come...
Hey Stranger is been sometime since last video, good to see you back.
I bought my 2019 trd off road new for $34,000 it's almost paid off and have no plans to upgrade for the latest especially at the prices they are at these days.
And it will be running long after the first round of turbos burn out on the 4th gens🔥
I think manufacturers are pricing themselves out of business
To replace my 23 TRD Off Road, double cab, long bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs would cost $17K MORE in 24 over the MSRP for my 23.
That Ridiculous and that’s where a fool parts with his money.
The MSRP on my 23 including running boards and a Tri-Fold tonneau cover, premium and technology pkgs and a 6’ bed double cab the MSRP was $51,848. I paid $48K.
To replace it today would cost $67K for a Tacoma ? HELL NO
$67k at the least!
You by far have the best takes on the current Toyota landscape.
Glad I got my 5th gen 4Runner, man this market is cut throat. I had a chance in 2018 to get a 2015 Tacoma pre-runner with 20K miles for 21K$, and i didnt pull the trigger, what a mistake.
TRD - Toyota Really Disappointing. I was one of first buyers in March 1998 Tacoma PreRunner in South Florida. Now made in cheaper labor, 4 cyl, yet spiking prices by $1000's. Sounds like greed took over Toyota
I still haven't seen one on the road.
I dont mind the turbo 4 cylinder. They are easy to work on. I like the way the truck looks also. But the pricing is way out of line. You can get a raptor ranger for 55k. Id rather have that if i was going to spend over 50k for a midsize truck.
Easy to work on? Man have you seen the engine bay of these?? It's a cluster fuck.
What Im wondering/hoping is that car brands start weeding out dealerships that most people dont WANT, along with their fee's. The last truck and outboard motor I bought brand new, the excitment was destroyed from incompetent sales employee's ruining every aspect of it.
This is why I bought a 2023 TRD Off Road premium for MSRP about a year ago. $46k OTD. I knew Toyota was going to get greedy with the 4th gen pricing. Prices for trucks are outrageous and I hope that DEEEEEEP discounts are coming soon because trucks are stacking up on dealers lots.
Toyota is too overconfident and is alienating their core consumer audience with this rollout. Less features and a higher price.....for that reason i'm out.
All auto makers decided to screw people with truck prices, and I hope people stop buying them until prices go down -- a lot.
So inflation and everyone keeps wanting car manufacturers to make more capable off road trucks . You can always buy an sr or sr5 .
When buyers send the message that they don't want to spend $60K for a $30K taco by not buying them, maybe Toyota will listen.
I've always wanted a Tacoma. With these new drivetrains and the ridiculous msrp's, let them rot on the lot. I was soon to buy my 1st Tacoma, and now it looks like the Nissan Frontier will be in my future. Disheartening is an understatement
I just drove by the Toyota dealer in the Springfield, VA area and they had rows of Tacomas. Clearly there’s an issue.
Got a brand new trd off road in 2019 for $34k. Now $62k?! And I’ve yet to see a single 24 Tacoma on the road yet.
That dealer thinks it’s 2021
COVID Prices!
Did Toyota just like not keep track of their msrp pricing across the board?
