    1) I have no friends - back seat is perfect
    2) you can't pull a 10,000 lb trailer-got it.
    3) I didn't but a truck for mpg
4 I'm 6'4 and a large man. I fit, you will also- pro tip, if you are tall, you don't want a sunroof
    5) the guy who selected the transmission, programmed the transmission, and selected the axle ratios, should be squarely kicked in the nuts.

First off it’s Toyota, not Tea-yota. All the reasons you claim are reasons to not buy this truck are the exact reasons I did. You should have just said, if you’re over six feet tall, this might not be the truck for you. I drove mine off the lot in Seattle and drove it to Skagway, Ak without any of the issues you mentioned. Cruise control worked perfectly. It slowed down and sped up on its own as it was designed to do without incident.

2020 OR - 24 mpg on highway going 65 mph to work each day. Put a Spring Booster in around 2000 miles and never looked back. The throttle is soooo much more responsive and you can adjust it to whatever you prefer. I have mine set on #5 Sport. No more throttle lag…the motor and trans is geared like a “dog” for regular on-road driving and the Sprint Booster made the truck a true dream to drive.

@@pagodad8079 Agree…Toyota factory tune is supposed to be to meet “better gas mileage standards”, unfortunately it affected other areas. The transmission and engine are proven, but it’s the ECU tune in the computer. This can be corrected via 3rd party tune, but I agree…it should be set better from the factory. FYI: the Sprint Booster was $249 and installed it in about 15 minutes myself.

@@Ridezallday1679 I can’t answer the warranty question, you might have to do research on that, I can only speak for how the Sprint Booster works for my truck. I’m not into getting a custom tune because that does void the warranty from what I read, and if you don’t like that particular tune, you will probably have to pay for another tune to get it where you want.

At worst I am getting 24+ a gallon and at best 33. To be honest you might not want to ride with me. I get over 500 miles to a tank. I cringe when I here some of the videos from how hard people accelerate. I can see how it would go down fast with all the extra weight and driving habits. I really like the acceleration. The 3rd gen tacoma transmission and 3.5 litre engine is built for long term use. The gear shifting in cruise you're complaining about goes away and will not revv on climbs after it's broken in. A few counters to what he was saying. 1 if you drive sensible your going to get better MPG from the 6 if you want to get 20 or better then ditch the 4wd and get the 2wd like I did. Next the rear seats are perfectly adequate if your just hauling a pair of friends adjusting the fronts will fix the leg room issue. As to towing and hauling ITS NOT A FULL SIZE TRUCK therefore your performance will not match said full sized truck. Chances are if you bought a Tacoma you didn’t need a full size truck anyway. The cabin height is just fine in fact I can’t stand the step packages they offer ( which is why mine was purchased without it) and I fit in it just fine despite my thighs being the diameter of small trees. The drivers seat is fully adjustable so you can find a good fit. Finally took mine on a 3 hour road trip and was perfectly comfortable. The truck is perfectly fine for its intended job

That Frontier is no joke. I had a '10 LE crew, long bed that I worked out of for a few years. The new redesign is a huge improvement. Maybe a big turning radius, but much more comfortable seating than a Taco. I've heard great reviews for that engine/trans combo.

The comments are funny. Without a doubt toyota owners are the most loyal and the biggest apologist. Later in the year Toyota will finally address all the shortcomings. Will have a roomier interior, rear disk brakes, more torque with the 2.4 turbo/hybrid motor, smoother 8 speed transmission, better ride with rear coil suspension, updated interior (which will be a first on a taco). And then guess what? All these same taco fans will jump up and down proclaiming how much better the 2024 is over the outgoing for all the same reasons I listed above lol.
People buy the brand on their design language, perceptions of reliability, and resale value. Not on the truck itself. Because I test drove this crap two times in 2019 and can't say its the toyota I know. Which is the hilux and Prado overseas or the 4 runner or GX 460 in the US. That is the Toyota I know. The taco is a hot mess. The 6 speed akison transmission is a torqued starved, early shifting, hard shiting, gear searching POS. So after that first test drive I figured it was a bad truck. Went back a few weeks later and test drove another. Nope, it's the design. Yes the low roof line and high floor give it that "look' that toyota fans love. That chopped look. It also has you sitting on your ass with legs straight out. Like I said, I'm not against the brand. My Prado overseas was the best truck I ever owned. But the taco is none of that. Not even remotely so. Looking forward to the 2024 when they fix this crap.

Across 11 Grand brand-new okay I just bought one 5,500 bucks 150 on it it's not beat up at all with never use the truck better than anything on the road today so I was on concern so and don't get good gas miles it gets less than that s*** it only gets like 15 around town maybe 23 on the highway but you got something that will last and Outlast any f****** garbage you can think of you in the new to call Ms. Last

Reasons to not buy a Tacoma:
    1. No usb port
    2. Can’t tow a spacecraft
    3. It’s a truck with bad gas
    4. The seats are small in a small truck
    5. It revs high in cruise control
So basically it’s a bad truck because it isn’t a tundra…. Got it

For those of you thinking about buying Tacoma or have not driven one, all you heard is of other people be telling you how good it is. well, I highly recommend you not to buy it. reason 1, they only give you a warranty of 30,000 miles or 3 years that's all. First, if their truck really that good or last as long as they said it would, then why only give you 30,000 miles or 3 years warranty? I bought my first 2018 Tacoma, at the end of 2019, after nearly 2 years the paint at the roof top and at the hood were start peeling off. after 3 years later, most of the paints were all gone from the front hood and the roof top. I mean, seriously, this truck only 3 years old and most of the paints are all gone? The Toyota financial service refused to do the painting for me because I have driven 32,000 miles on it? I was soooo pissed off. f..k Toyota i said! I hope yall take my advice and don't buy toyota. P.s, the truck is very slow and it struggle a lot just with only me in it.

my interior is falling apart with rattles all over at 43,000 miles. Suspension sounds horrible as well. I drive a lot for a commute (this occurred after buying the truck and selling due to need for gas savings). BUT the passenger seat rattled from the day I bought it, the wheel caps on the trd sport constantly break and techs at the dealer ruin them during tire rotation. No major issue's, and my needs have changed but yea... in my opinion this doesn't live up to the hype (compared to similar hype for 4runners, my wife's limited is lightyears ahead in build quality to the Tacoma I'm offloading). I can honestly say this truck is so insanely overrated. Its 4wd and truck bed yes are great, but if you're using it for anything other then truck stuff or off-roading look elsewhere.
