    Great video! What ever microphone you are using while you are riding is great! No wind static, and I can hear you and the bike perfectly. The bike sounds great for what it is, that's for sure. Probably going to get the hawk dlx towards the end of year. Thanks for the great content!

    Great review! This same bike is sold in Mexico as "DM250 X" by the largest small cc bike seller here (Italika) at around $2,200 USD. The bike is all the same except we don't get the EFI 🤷🏻‍♂️ other than that it's all fun for off road and back roads. Ride safe 👊😎

    EFI is definitely the way to go.
    A lot of difference. Start, ride, park. Thats it. I always carry my
    HALO BATTERY JUMP STARTER WITH ME no matter what and a couple cans of fuel. The STUFF that has no alcohol stuff comes in a metal can in the lawn mower department at Lowes and Home Depot. I always carry tools ,spark plug, tire patch, and tire plugs, extra glue too with a 12 volt air compressor.

      @@hanzdidit I’m about 6’2” with my shoes on and I’ve taken a few dirt bikes for a spin when I was younger once on a new Kawasaki 250 that I couldn’t keep the nose down on and rented a 250 Ninja when I was 16 that I laid down twice because I couldn’t turn well and hit the front brake both times. I’m 45 years old and suddenly find myself wanting an endurobike like I have wanted since I was 14 years old. My neighbor when I was growing up lost his leg in a MC accident, my good friend was killed last year in one, and someone randomly told me yesterday that he just totaled his bike when someone pulled out in front of him, but all on powerful bikes.
      So anyway here I am wanting this somewhat meager bike, but I don’t intend on trying to jump it, race it or bring it on the freeway. In case I really don’t want it $2000 or so dollars seems worth while. I can turn wrenches so I’m always willing to do that to an extent save money. My wife is very supportive. My friends not so much.
      I mainly want it to save wear on tear on my truck to commute to the park and ride bus stop (I live in a big traffic clogged city) and for having enjoyable ride in the open air in the back country.

    The carb version is not as big a deal as you are making it out. Problem with the EFI version is when it starts throwing codes......... Good luck with that. Squrrielly in the corners is more about the tires than anything else. The accuracy of the speedo on a China bike is generally not close. As much as 10% off. They always indicate you are going faster than you really are.

      @@hanzdidit I've been into China bikes going on 4 years now. I think they are a fantastic value but they do have some concerns. Some of the components should be upgraded right away. The chain is often an issue, tires if you are riding off road much, and the speedo is always off. And I do like just about any video on this topic. You have obvious passion for your Hawk, and it seems to me you have good expectations for yours. There is definitely a difference between a $2K China bike compared to a $6 - $8K Japanese bike. But, with both, you do break or wear out parts, and there is always maintenance. Difference with China bikes it that it can be hard to find someone to work on them, so you should expect to do maintenance on your own. Most shops won't touch them. Thanks for the video......

    Can you ride this on the highway?

    • @hanzdidit
      @hanzdidit  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes you can but your top speed will be about 65 miles an hour and that is a little scary on the highway and that's all you have. I personally do not ride mine on the highway. The nice thing about a larger cc engine is if you need to you can get out of the way by accelerating. This bike at 65 miles an hour there is nothing left. It is a great commuter for off-road or around town but that's what it's meant for.

      @@hanzdidit is there another size up or dirt bike with higher cc's that can get over 100 mph that you can recommend where I can ride on the highway

      For the price you cannot beat them, there's a super fun bike for a 250cc. If you ask me they're worth every penny. I think Amazon even offers financing. Good luck I hope that your BF can get one. Thanks so much for watching.

      At least not anything too big, so far it's handled everything I have thrown at it, I have even dropped it a couple times and have not had any problems. Overall pretty happy with this bike. Thanks so much for watching.

    Buddy you just don't get it the other one you have to work on more. If you have to work on it you have a better knowledge of your bike which is better! Fuel-injected makes you lazy! All vehicles being built today not the normal person cannot work on them and that's a problem!

      Copy that. I have had both the carbureted in the EIF version of this bike. I like them the same I just think the DLX has a better suspension.

      You can simply change sprockets to get more tip end. It’s clearly geared right in the sweet spot to make it barely work off and on road. For 230cc…. I think you’ll find nothing else that would do both any better. If you want the look but more on road prowess. Lengthen the gear ratio with larger rear sprockets and if you want it just to learn dirt… shorten the ratio smaller rear sprockets…
