@@tru1y_p3yt0n2vow imo should be how they base raids from now on if there only going to be 4 encounters. They made Rhulk such an interesting new villain in the matter of only 4 encounters. In the past like for example garden the sanctified mind didn’t appear too the very end. For deeps stone atraks made a better boss than taniks since there was foreshadowing in the campaign we’d see her n it. Rhulk tho we knew nothing about yet they made him one of the most interesting bosses we’ve had
When the D1 Guardian theme kicked on in The Traitor I could literally hear the sounds a bunch of supers getting activated at once in my head, as if i should've been hearing the tell tale sounds of a DPS phase starting up along with it lmao
I love how the music for the parts on the outside of the ships evokes the imagry of Tibet and the Himalayas. And once you get inside the music loses all of that to become loud, boisterous, and desperate. I can imagine for unto balance climing the narrow paths with ancient prayr banners marking the way, only to crest the ridge and see the ship when the darkness leimotif hits.
TY bruh. Means a lot to know that I’ve effectively communicated that stuff; exactly what I was going for. FYI the instrument that’s giving that effect is called Plate Bells, or Bell Plates. I would’ve used Gamelan as well but I just don’t have a virtual instrument for that lol
@@jhfcomposer dude, the fact that you could have me imagine the environment of the raid itself in my head is impressive. my favorite part though is how the woodwinds and the strings create the feeling of wind sweeping by. it makes the air feel... thin. I love how you've done that. also, cant help but have some mass effect feels in some of these tracks, not that that's a bad thing.
On top of feeling exactly like Destiny's music, each song paints an interesting mental image (to me, anyway) Absence feels like looking at a body or a corpse of something we once held dear, and Under Siege sounds very exploratory and yet tense (almost akin to some of Halo CE's soundtrack) but then melds into a high-paced gunfight. Augury almost feels like safe respite from danger, but also very dark and foreboding as it goes on. Radii sounds almost like a triumphant ray of light, and a testament to the power of the Traveler. Unto balance sounds like a grand revelation, or is the buildup to the grand (and sinister) revelation that Unbloom is, which feels oppressive and almost like a state of fleeing or falling, feeling very much like Riven's theme. Lastly, The Traitor's theme feels like a fight of equal wills, Guardian vs Guardian, one of their own corrupted by Darkness, and feels frantic and fast yet encapsulating grandiose nature of being a Guardian, especially with the D1 theme interspersed in the midst. Truly incredible work.
Thank you!!! Everything you described is like EXACTLY what I was going for. Especially what you said about Radii and Traitor. Dead on. LOVE to hear it!!!!
Then choosing 'Radii' then just it being the only sounding theme for the [Light] in this concept making. Eugh....let them make that expansion Conflictingly big before it launches.
ever since vow of the disciple released, my new obsession in destiny has transferred from the vex to the darkness. everything about the darkness seems so fascinating; the way it corrupts, the way creatures under the influence of it act, and the true leader of it: The Witness. all of it, perfection
This is beautiful. I can envision it; The Cold air of the already high mountains grows colder, as the 6 guardians see the black pyramids cut through the thin atmosphere. Looming overhead, cutting the sun from the sky, oppressing the planet below. A glimmer of light inside the ship, Aiphan, holding hope for her heroes. But as they go through the ship and find their converted guardian, they realize she's betrayed their Light, and the overal atmosphere goes demented, with a new complete reliance on synthetic instruments and vocals, no orchestral style music anymore it feels. Synthetic Horns or very augmented styles of playing to give off that feel. Very beautiful!
I'm listening to this and I'm thinking of encounters as the music is playing. Under siege: I can imagine a slow sand storm pushing behind the fireteam, and to advance its a NON STOP battle of adds coming towards us, as we platform and fight forward. Each change in the song is a brief respite between platforming and fighting forward. I think it'd be cool as we haven't really gotten something like that in a raid since Croats end. Radi 5:52 : alright were outside now, high above the sandstorm, and this is a platform section to make our way INTO the pyramid to save this guardian. You COULD do it normally, but if you look closely there's strand points all around. This is a moment we can show our TRUE mastery over mobility with strand by grappling up and around obstacles. A nice reward would be if 3 people can make it up there via this method, a bonus chest is unlocked by hitting three switches at the same time. Unbloom 10:20 : boss time, the build up would be nice to reveal a psion boss fight where nightmares are summoned. Mechanics could be that he summons crota, ghoul, and tanniks (I know....) and all three are needed to pop a bubble he hides himself in. Damage phase then starts for a while before he dissapears and the next part is he crates copies of himself that all start running away into different hallways. You're job is to split up, and find him. And you can't take too long or he will slowly heal himself. When you find the right one, he comes back to the main room and restarts first half of fight. Traitor: I think it's about time we finally fight another gaurdian. Someone who can move and fight just like us, but is supercharged by darkness. I just don't know how to put this encounter together though....
The reimagination of themes is quite impressive and the massive amount of creativity and commitment needed for such an undertaking is marvelous. Nicely Done.

honestly its criminal that it took until now for this to show up in my recommended videos LMAO, i absolutely *adore* each and every track thats here !! i think you did a really good job of making this sound like something that could be in destiny whilst also having a fairly unique soundscape that doesn't sound 1:1 with anything thats currently in the game, making them sound really unique and familiar at the same time - the strings and drums feel Very quintessential destiny to me, so nothing ever feels completely out of place with the existing soundtracks of the game. i love the synth-y sequences in tracks like Under Siege, and the soft, almost melancholy, chimes in Unto Balance really scratch my brain :) the encounter themes are Fantastic imo !! my personal favourite is Unbloom, but Radii is a close second i think !! listening to each track while reading the lore and raid descriptions really helped paint the picture in my head and i cant stress enough how good of a job i think you did !!
By the Traveler, this is actually pretty good ! Never enjoyed Destiny fanmade composition as much as these ones. It’s different and distinct of what has been made for the game so far yet it IS Destiny. I could really picture those sounds and melody in the game. Well done, very well done, guardian. I hope you do have future ideas for other destiny compositions.
This music just hits different. It feels like a combination of triumph and desperation. And this music could fit anything, be a raid, nightfall or even a movie.
Amazing. I was looking for the darkness theme, and this thing just popped on my recommended. I didn't know what to expect, but the songs just latched onto. They have that sparkle of magnificience natural to Destiny, but also a personality that's so unique. Also, I rode down the design. Beautiful raid and brilliant writing. I could see every encounter ahead of me (even though the ideas for Tsúli were kinda crazy? I would like to see those in practice or any level that you may have drawn inspiration from) very clearly. READING was good. But reading whilst hearing this masterpiece... was halfway playing this raid. And for real bro, I'd love to see more from Aiphan. I loved how she is drawn to the darkness! Please come to me, I'd love to hear your ideas.
Thank you!! I definitely intend to do the music stuff for a career and not the writing stuff, but i’m glad you enjoyed it. Personally i feel like i kind of rushed the design, just because it only existed as an excuse to write the music, but i’m pretty proud of the lore tabs. If i had to go back and change one thing about the raid design approach, i would make sure to simultaneously have spectacle and cohesiveness, ya know? It’s a hard balance
To read all of the lore AND experience the music is beyond amazing. The story you crafted just shows how much thought went into this. If you read certain lore bits with certain sections of the music you can literally see the story unfold in real time. Amazing work.
The first couple tracks really felt like classic destiny and then it picks up. I could feel your own little throw-ins and design where you made it your own. Fantastic job.
Stumbled across this today, 4 months after you made it, as a fan of destiny who also makes story for my family of guardians, this was fucking amazing. Thank you for the inspiration.
This is an amazing effort and idea here! I’ve actually dabbled in attempting some fan raid design of my own...honestly I’d be thrilled just to have some like minds look over my thoughts if that’s possible.
Can't believe I only just stumbled upon this. This sounds so good it could be official. Unto Balance and The Traitor are my favourites from this. Incredible job
I just found this earlier today and I’m going crazy over how well done it is. The vibe, performance, backstory, everything is beyond what anyone would expect from a fan creation. I could not graduate you guys enough for making such a well done piece
Okay this is awesome. I love love LOVE the first half of the raid especially, it sounds like a truly breathtaking setting. The imagery is so strong throughout the entire spundtrack though. When the bell instrumentation came back during the final boss I was absolutely HEADBANGING. Just brilliant.
This whole concept is brilliant. It seems so official and I can tell I would love playing this raid over and over again. I do have a question about one aspect of the lore, though. It seems that Aiphan killed her Ghost, as evidenced by the lore tab of Inhuman Sacrifice, but yet she is able to, albeit corrupted, use her Light abilities in the final encounter? I could just be misinterpreting the lore and her Ghost was merely injured, but I couldn't help but notice that. Other than that, again, this is such a phenomenal idea! A lot of the raid reminds me of Deep Stone Crypt, what with the sort of calming platforming segment in between encounters, and the high-stakes, action-packed escape from the Pyramid. I hope this wins MOTW easily!
I heard the music and read the Lore you made for this fanmade Raid and i must say... Wow... Bungie, if you haven't hired this guy for the Dungeon and Raids Team, WHAT THE **** ARE YOU WAITING FOR???!!!
lmao that’s high praise! in reality there is a lot more that goes into raid design than a couple cool ideas and i am not remotely trained in that area of game dev. that being said i now have a bachelor’s of music and am hoping to join the bungie music team
This is absolutely incredible. I'm reading through your concepts of each encounter as I listen to the songs, and I love what you've created here. I would play this raid so much!
Awesome. You can really feel the atmosphere, also, I can imagine every steps, especially the last one with that electronic music. Well played. Hope to listen more ;)
Glad you enjoyed it! Recently began work on another one of these, slightly longer and very different vibe; can’t wait to finish it and get it out there :)
I love the little detail of whoever is on the art wearing sunbracers, or whatever those gauntlets are called. Those were a fun exotic to play around with
Art is by Kinia24Lara, check her out on artstation/twitch/twitter/etc. The character is an OC called Aiphan; her whole story has some parallels to the Prometheus myth and sunbracers are the best exotic aesthetically and functionally for a “fire-gifter” imo
After reading the encounter ideas and mlst of the lore at almost the same speed as the music, it honestly paints an amazing feeling, the encounters are super fun soundimg and the music feels like something that would actually be in the game, if onlt we were in a timeline where we could actually see this out
@@jhfcomposer It inspired me to make a Hive raid. The story is that four Guardians went down to hunt an Ascendant Hive (like a dungeon) but he was too strong, and now this fireteam must go rescue them. I mean, there's a lot more, but that's the jist.
I have a playlist dedicated for music from Bungie games, mainly Destiny 1/2, with a bit of Halo and Marathon. Out of all the fanmade music I've heard, only 2 videos have made it in, one is Nihil's Witch Queen theme and the other is this. I honestly think you've got Destiny's music form nailed down perfectly. Currently reading the google doc, greatly enjoying so far.
This sounds like something that would be in LightFall ngl. Maybe a bit more of a drastic or frantic feeling tho considering the title and the implications of said title (or maybe the frantic feeling kinda builds up towards the end with a sort of underlined tones for the final encounter embedded into the soundtrack throughout..) either way this sounds fantastic great job.

Coming back to this years later, the raid could've worked really well in the story that we got. The premise of the Witness using Aiphan's abilities to locate the Veil is something that could've happened before Lightfall.

Tysm!!! I honestly dont remember the length. I think 5 out of the 7 tracks were basically made in a day or less each, while Unbloom and Traitor both took a couple days. So i’d say a week and a half of like actual working total but in practice that work was spread out over like two months bc i have other things to do lol

I just found this earlier today and I’m going crazy over how well done it is. The vibe, performance, backstory, everything is beyond what anyone would expect from a fan creation. I could not graduate you guys enough for making such a well done piece
This is awesome. 3:00 that theme is so cool, good luck with MOTW!!
I didn't realized how SMOOTH the transitions between tracks are! Went from the first song to the 2nd and I didn't see for over a minute.
#2 was incredibly well done.... like a serious symphonic masterpiece. bravo
I didn't realize this wasn't official for far too long.
I just noticed the stereo (or surround sound) at 1:58. Such a cool detail.
This was a plot hole i realized immediately after hitting publish lolllll. Let’s just say it’s an imitation of her Light that the Veil gave her
@@jhfcomposer just like how the darkness simulated the nightmare of Dominus Ghaul using light.
This really does sound like something that could very well be in Destiny. The altered themes work very nicely with it as well. Fantastic work!
Man listening to this while reading the raid descriptions really builds the story. Amazing work man this was phenomenal.
This is amazing work , I really hope you get MOTW for this!
Wow this really is fantastic; an incredible soundtrack, story, and idea. Truly a work of art.
Only up to track 2 so far, very impressive, getting real Lalo Schifin and 70's ost vibes from this. Loving the string arrangements. Great work.
Genuinely one of the coolest and most well executed fan concepts I have ever seen.
Wonderful job
Ok this is easily S tier I love the soundtrack and the raid excellent job. Now I want to play it.
This is truly a project that has left me in awe, what an amazing job at capturing such a setting!
I can't wait to use these songs for the final boss of my DnD campaign, gonna be a good fight! Love this music.
What a journey mate! I truly felt like going through a raid.
This is simply incredible. Each track tells a story. You can picture the raid/encounters/bosses as you listen.
This really good. Love the music. I'll have to read the rest of the raid write up later, bit it's pretty sweet so far.
WHY HAVE ALL OF THE MUSIC CONCEPTS I HAVE COME ACROSS SOUNDED SO GOOD! IT'S CRIMINAL TO MAKE FANMADE DESTINY 2 MUSIC THIS GOOD!
This soundtrack fits the darkness so well !
just incredible, i dont know what else to say. I'm speechless
This is incredible, the fact that this is fanmade blows my mind
Amazing work
Great job on this man, this sounds amazing
I honestly can't get enough of this. Hats off mate.
I’m getting strong AoT music vibes, specially in Radii, mixed with destiny themes. Love it!
This is awesome, really good work. Would love to hear a full symphonic band perform your work, it would be absolutely stunning!
@@jhfcomposer I know you might not answer me, but what is your next one themed on? ^^
@@ZeLunatiik read the Jade Rabbit lore tab
My favorite is Under Siege but the whole soundtrack is incredible
Damn, everything about this and the raid design is perfect
I love the little detail of whoever is on the art wearing sunbracers, or whatever those gauntlets are called. Those were a fun exotic to play around with
Art is by Kinia24Lara, check her out on artstation/twitch/twitter/etc. The character is an OC called Aiphan; her whole story has some parallels to the Prometheus myth and sunbracers are the best exotic aesthetically and functionally for a “fire-gifter” imo
This is so fucking good. I’m gonna go read the design for the raid.
I love your use of "Guardian" throughout this composition.
This is really awesome, the bells really set it apart from anything else and the use of the guardian motif gives it a destiny 1 feel
And that boss music is fire
16:48 is hype
After reading the encounter ideas and mlst of the lore at almost the same speed as the music, it honestly paints an amazing feeling, the encounters are super fun soundimg and the music feels like something that would actually be in the game, if onlt we were in a timeline where we could actually see this out
Nice work, sounds great!
I cannot get over how fucking good this is.
tysm bro it makes me happy to know people still actually come across this and enjoy it
@@jhfcomposer It inspired me to make a Hive raid.
Means a lot to hear that bruh! That Savathun soundtrack is wicked good too yeah
This goes so unbelievably hard
I really wish you made under siege into its own thing. It’s simple yet sooo effective. I’d love to see an extended version.
please make more music like this, it is genuinely phenomenal
Thank you!! I’m an aspiring film/game composer so future works will absolutely be posted here. I’ll be scoring a 3D animated Destiny fan-film soon, and am also working on a score for a game of my own creation that is very early in development.
@@jhfcomposer sounds amazing, i have a big thing for destiny soundtracks and this honestly sounds like it was ripped from destiny 3, i look forward to what else you make ^^
when your raid concept is better than root
This is masterpiece. I love it. You're amazing, man.
Thank you!!
The Zenroot segment gave me a vision of platforming through a garden of Trees Of Silverwings that are decaying. This is such an amazing piece of work... It’s honestly got me hype to finally reach Witch Queen release and hopefully meeting the Darkness enemies. Also the nod to Riven of A Thousand Voices in Unbloom is 🤌🏾
Thank you!!! Also, you’re like the first one to pick up on the Riven thing lol. So glad that came thru
@@jhfcomposer I’ve yet to play the Wish Raid but I have watched it numerous times and I gotta say, that has to be my Favorite boss fight track not only outta the other raids but, in a video game, period. It just makes you FEEL like a GodSlayer. One who fells space dragons and still makes it home for ramen 🤤🥲
Coming back to this years later, the raid could've worked really well in the story that we got. The premise of the Witness using Aiphan's abilities to locate the Veil is something that could've happened before Lightfall.
how have you not got anymore subscribers, i feel bad for not discovering this earlier. this is some amazing music.
Thank you so much!!! I haven’t put out all that much music yet so that’s probably part of it but I am currently working on the struggle that is self-marketing. If you wanna support feel free to share and follow haha, @jellybackjoe on twitter and @jhfcomposer on insta.
i could see this in lightfall, giving into the temptations and fighting ourselves
This is AWESOME
This is utterly insane, in a good way of course. You're only in college and putting out work this good? Seen some of your other stuff and it's all really amazing. Got a bright future and Bungie would be lucky to hire you. Also, how long did it take for you to make all of these songs, curious about the process.
Tysm!!! I honestly dont remember the length. I think 5 out of the 7 tracks were basically made in a day or less each, while Unbloom and Traitor both took a couple days. So i’d say a week and a half of like actual working total but in practice that work was spread out over like two months bc i have other things to do lol
