I’m so glad that I found your channel!!!! I’m literally in the process of building a 6S 2wd but I’m thinking about going ahead and turning it into a “monster” Slash at the same time. My current setup is just a 2S but a 5900kv motor. I did that so I could use to the power before I jumped up any faster.
Yeah man! My tips from this video series would be to raise the body post mounts, get some grippy tires, and get larger pinion gearing + a wheelie bar ... maybe some weight on the nose too haha
Just watched part 3, nice. Maybe adding some weight would help the handling some. I know that combo came off a much heavier truck. Digging the channel yo 👌
I have a bandit and it has the option of going lipo w the brushed motor,I just put some money into it like new shocks(not the cheap plastic ones either) and some other upgrades, not gonna race it yet til spring,it's fall here on the east coast in the US and winter will be here soon enough(composite plastic doesn't do well in the cold)
I have the same exact setup with the blx 2050kv and 185 esc. I have a 12" wheelie bar on mine. I run sand drags with mine. So it has sand paws on the back. Also have mod 1 gearing.
Why is your gear cover off? Just curious. Also, get that ESC mounted!! Won’t be fun if some debris pulls your motor cables, your esc will go with it too.
The 32p spur sits out a little more than the stock spur so the gear cover doesn’t quite fit. Yeah I need to mount it, the double sided tape keeps falling off haha
@@JacobusRCmy man, try this. Clean both areas you'll be applying the tape to first with rubbing alcohol. Shouldn't have any problems after that! www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-double-sided-Servo-Tape-Wide-DLR220-/202265351342?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286
You should have put the battery on both sides of the chasSurpass Hobby Rocketsis to even out the weight iv got one with a Surpass Hobby Rocket 1700kv and a surpass hobby 150a esc and to 11.1v 3s 3000mah 50c battery in the traxxas slash 2wd and it goes hard so place the battery on both sides of the chassis
Remember on a real rear wheel drive car there's an engine up front lots of weight, gives the steering more traction control, you are trying to steer a powerful rear axel with no weight, no traction and no tread. This is more like a drag car than off road
Bro sort your car out and take it on another proper run on paved ground . I’m running 4s on mine with proline trenchers and upgraded shocks and gearing . Got 60 mph can do more need more weight in the front end so planning on modifying the battery tray to make it sit further forward Hoping to see a video soon with the 6s
Change tires and Run the car on a clean none loose grabal and you will see you will control and get way better performance out of 3s 4s 6s. Your problem is the place your trying to run the car. So get on a clean road and hit that traxxas down the road. I have a 2wd slash on a 3s VLX system and that car flys on the clean road.
2WD + 6S + Gravel = Not a fun time .... How the heck do you keep your 6s 2wd RC planted on the dirt? Might get better tires for next time ....
Hand me the controller
@@christiansrcs7789 have a crack at it haha
The TSM is a big help on 3s. It keeps my 2wd slash in place on dirt and pavement.
@@kode3020 This one definitely needs it, might be the next upgrade! thanks for the heads up.
Put on some paddle tires and drive it in sand
I wanna see this thing on the road

Hey bro I have a question
You definitely need TSM with 4s or 6s.
Been looking into that, maybe for a next upgrade. Just hooked on some newer tires and it’s doing much better
They make steel spur gears as well. And probably the stock style. Riding on half the gear like that can't be good
Yeah got a steel one in part 3, lots of movement from the pinion in this vid

4S power for 62 hobbywing motor and the same ESC that you're using arrma 185 which is 150 amps and only run on 4S
Saw your other comments, sounds like a beast 🤘 will have to find those gears on ebay
Is gopro hero 7 used for onboard viev?
Yes it is
My diff broke on 4s with 2.8 wheels.
I got my 2wd slash on a VXL just 3s 50mph
What was the gearing?
@@masontillemans8081 26 pinion 83 spur try the 31 pinion 76 spur I got 68mph
Small corrections will help with control issues
I have the tsm receiver and transmitter and it handles like a 4x4 with 3s
Nice video. Your rear tires are facing the wrong direction. That may have been a hindrance to your performance.
oh shoot good catch! thanks

Appreciate it man, I’ll have to try that one out thanks for watching

That’s a good point, yeah some weights up front would help. Thanks for watchin
my Corvette C8 has a mid engine and is rear wheel drive.
Just get better tires and adjust your suspension accordingly test test test
Yeah getting better tires helped out in my most recent video
Gotta ease into the throttle
Earned my sub
MVP 🤙🏽
get a gyro like what i did with my 2wd slash & change your tire to proline badland.
M1 mod 17 tooth pinion 37 spur
Hey my brother how are you bro I like your styles man it's all about fun
thanks man! appreciate it

Just bought some cheap “trenchers” to test out and it hooks up much better. Thanks for watching
They can handle 6s, I had no problems with it since 3 years
3s is tough enough.
yeah man that's what I noticed for this rig, thanks for watching!
bro flip that pinion gear around u got like a mil of tooth engagement gonna give issues like that lol
Yeah pinion gear was coming loose on this session 😂
Hardened steel gears gyro

Yeah loose gravel is holding me back! Thanks for watching.
Metal gear on spur would of been way better
The Slash is great with the Titan motor. Put a brushless system in and it becomes a big piece of shit. Run it on 6s!, lol
Well I think I found out what it is with a 6s on stock tires 😬😂
Thats still very loose gravel.... Lol
Yeahhh I just rolled with it hahah
Put it on the concrete dummy
