for the fact Adi Shankaracharya played an important role in history he was the founder and scholar of Advaita the reshaper of Kashmiri Shavishm, established four Vedic schools in every corner of India made new branches and sects that still followed strictly, defeated Buddhism in debates, and also titled "Digvijaya" the one who conquered all by his own ideological reveal Sri Madvacharya who also wrote his biography, later at the age of 32 he told his students to not follow him at Himalaya and never seen again. modern scholars say that in just 30 years of his life, he made those establishments and changes that the world can't do even in 3000 years, I repeat not 300 but 3000 f@cking years.
Don't read up on the deities. They get constructed in your mind as you are exposed to more and more. And the way your questions will change as you learn, will go hand in hand with what you will want to know about the deities and their symbols.
You are so respectfull. It is difficult to understand Hinduism because it's core believe Vidya Parmo Dharm(Knowledge is ultimate form of Dharm). Which makes Hinduism very lengthy in Knowledge and Literature. Your channel makes Hinduism easily understandable. Thank you so much.
The great thing about this is the mix-and-match of it all. I'm personally Advaitin-leaning, but I read and incorporate elements from Kashmiri Shaivism, Zen, western nondual traditions, and plenty of bhakti yoga. I primarily worship Saraswati, so I look to Shakta literature for inspiration. When looking at this chart, you don't just have to stick to one - you can pick several! Advaita does sound kind of "hippie" to westerners, but all of its claims are reached via logical arguments. It doesn't ask for faith - it actually asks for doubt. There is nothing to believe, there is only your own direct experience to understand.

Love that you are looking into Hinduism! As you’ll soon find out, there are two types of texts Smriti (text that is remembered) and Shruti (text that is heard). The ideals of Hinduism (which is Astika) believe in the authority of the Vedic Literature. To grasp an elite level of understanding of Hinduism is to understand all the Vedas. These Vedas have been summarized in the Upanishads (like cliffnotes/sparknotes). Furthermore, the Upanishads have been summarized into the Bhagavad Gita, which was stated right before the start of the war from Krishna to Arjuna). I because it a book series that ends with a war. People believe it is not wise to hold onto the Mahabharata volume books in a house since its presence can incite chaos within the household. Regardless, the true scale of the story can only be appreciated through its reading. I wish you the best on your journey!! If you have anymore questions, I’d love to connect. I’d also recommend reading the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali & The Hindu-Yogi Science of Breath (1903)!
Buddhism believes in a void as the Ultimate Truth ... But deeper than that is Purva Mimansa (Advaita) which says that if the Ultimate is a void - who "knows" this void? So, the ultimate is simply 'being" or Pure Consciousness (awareness, infinite and Bliss)

Tantra practice is the most delicate. It needs a lot of practice, precision, correct guidance, control over your body & mind, knowing your limitation. Otherwise it can lead an individual to a dark path or drive them insane.
Sri Krsna's perspective synthesizes all of these and gives the positive simplicity as well. He is the personality of the absolute and his direct teachings will give a simple clear perspective, which includes all others, while giving a larger context and an intuitive universal desired end result. Sri Krsna's teachings can be found mostly in the Mahabharata (Bhagavad-Gita) and the Bhagavata Purana. I highly recommend the section of the Bhagavata Purana known as the Uddhava-Gita, where Sri Krsna gives his final instructions to his intimate friend Uddhava, before Sri Krsna concludes his manifest lila/play in this realm and sends Uddhava off to concluded his own life as Uddhava.
A peice of advice 7:01 you wont understand anything if you dont know the summary of the story. The book you are planning to read is very raw, you will get lost or bored. Every story in the mahabarath as a story within a story, you will come across 1000 of names. Each character has multiple names. Certain names are used for multiple characters. I recomend you first to read a more simple version.
Karma yoga may look easy on the paper but it's really really hard to practice. I mean, when you buy a house after spending your 5 years of savings and a single earth quake took it out completely. Feeling yourself truly detached with that house and the work you put for the last 5 years to earn that money is not easy. This is just a very simple example. Life can throw you with even more complex situations.
Thing is, when you go beyond the basics, you see Sanatan Dharm. There's absolutely no limit to the vastness and the exploratory nature of Sanatan. That's also why even though I feel sad seeing people fight against Hindus, I am comforted that everything at the end, falls back to the default -- the hindu culture. It has been the default, and no amount of changes will replace the defaults of the system.

Bhuddha did not chill out in Scenary, Dev Dutta his cousin who was known for mystical powers wanted a rigid approch and Bhuddha a balanced, So Bhuddha lived a luxurious life, he had a sanctuary in every kingdom he accepted.
As a Hindu I can tell you paganism as was originally practiced by the anscestors is all about sacred spaces how do you create spaces in which nature and people live in harmony where the anscestors are honored and celebrated for their achievements, where we thank the land for providing us with abundance of good things and to connect with the divine energy that expresses itself in many different ways as a community. These were the core tenets of the pagan traditions and for some like the Greco Roman pagans there was a bigger empathy’s is ok anscestors worship and veneration. I would say the main difference between pagan traditions and Hinduism is just on the emphasis on Hinduism focus is on yoga and meditation whereas in paganism it’s more on living in a specific sacred space other than that they’re pretty much non different and no Hinduism is not purely monotheistic it is panentheistic which believes their is one cosmic energy that expresses itself in a infinite number of ways giving rise to gods and goddesses and realms etc it just teaches you how you too can tap into the divinity within you and become divine just like your anscestors if that makes sense

Hinduism is not just a religion, It is a way of life. So everything has to be there science maths and whatnot. Everything starts with accepting it and then proving it and delving into it further,
At 17:00 you say that the these concepts were kinda out of hinduism - somewhat like esoteric thought. I'd disagree with that... words like Satva, Rajas, Tamas are well known and lots of concepts discussed about mathematics/ontology are well known to be in these texts. In fact, lots of the local languages have their own versions of these sanskrit names. The problem - as I see it today - is that of a lack of access and exposure to the deeper side of these religious texts (Although, the same can be said about a book on Algebraic Topology).

Hinduism is all open, open for ideas, no strict rules, open for own ways of worshiping, thinking for the scenarios that is the reason why it has many branches of religion like Buddhism, Jainism etc..

TBH reading Mahabharata in its entirety is not the ideal strategy to understand the dharma. I would recommend experiential learning rather than reading books. Those 10 books will just catch dust on the bookshelf. Even if you're an avid reader it wont be comprehensible to you it'll probably take months of learning about the culture to reach that level. Reading the Gita is fine though as it deals with basics aspects of dharma such as duty, karma and being set amid war has a certain masculine appeal to it. The best way to learn Indian spirituality is to go and associate with an organisation. The Isha foundation, The art of living foundation among others are a good start also trying to visit the Indian subcontinent in the near future could be a step. OR just go visit a local temple in the US and talk to the pandit.

for the fact Adi Shankaracharya played an important role in history he was the founder and scholar of Advaita the reshaper of Kashmiri Shavishm, established four Vedic schools in every corner of India made new branches and sects that still followed strictly, defeated Buddhism in debates, and also titled "Digvijaya" the one who conquered all by his own ideological reveal Sri Madvacharya who also wrote his biography, later at the age of 32 he told his students to not follow him at Himalaya and never seen again. modern scholars say that in just 30 years of his life, he made those establishments and changes that the world can't do even in 3000 years, I repeat not 300 but 3000 f@cking years.
Thanks!
Thank u waiting it for a long time ❤❤❤
Thats the best video to react for someone to understand as a beginner
The great thing about this is the mix-and-match of it all. I'm personally Advaitin-leaning, but I read and incorporate elements from Kashmiri Shaivism, Zen, western nondual traditions, and plenty of bhakti yoga. I primarily worship Saraswati, so I look to Shakta literature for inspiration. When looking at this chart, you don't just have to stick to one - you can pick several!
Advaita does sound kind of "hippie" to westerners, but all of its claims are reached via logical arguments. It doesn't ask for faith - it actually asks for doubt. There is nothing to believe, there is only your own direct experience to understand.
so much information is packed in this video
Read the Whole Mahabharata not just the Gita .
Youll mistake the Gita to be Violent .
Also there Anu Gita after the War in Mahabharata.
That was beautiful. For me Advait Vedanta, sankhya and Yoga are best that's what i have chosen. My suggestion to you bro take your time here this is about truth of Universe so Read Bhagwad Gita then Read Patanjali then read Yoga Vashistha (if it is available in english). These are ultimate also try to get a Commentary by Shankaracharya on Bhagwad Gita that will give you Teacher guidance about What Krishna was saying. He was the ultimate Teacher or Guru of past 2000 years he was called incarnation of Lord Shiva himself to revive Hinduism in Dark Age of Kaliyuga.
Thank you for making this video. In reality Kashmiri shavism is tantra it is said to be the highest form of tantra its sad to see this philosophy is dying due to migration of kashmiri hindus but in recent years youngsters are tring to learn and preserve this tradition one famous saint i think it was sri Aurobindo gosh ji said where western philosophy ends indian philosophies start where indian philosophy ends kashmiri shavism starts
What luck I just came from watching your last video. I am on this journey with you brother 🙏
get good knowledge about shiva and vishnu and 4 yugs [the Satya Yuga, the Treta Yuga(Ramayan happened in this yuga) , the Dwapara Yuga( Krishna avatar and mahabarat happened in this
yuga), and the Kali Yuga] and their stories. This will give you a good idea about Hinduism history
RECOMENDATION:
Mahabharat (2013 TV series) from this series you will have very good idea about mahabharat it is available with English subtitles
Nice reaction. Please also do reactions on:
A Brief History Of Vedas
A Brief History Of 18 Puranas
You might already know that these are some of the holy books in hinduism/sanatan dharma, but you will still really get surprised to see the depth in these books.
Hinduism is most flexible and can be changed with times as and when required . Hinduism is all about being open to everyone and everything. All ideas should be respected . That is Hinduism .
When charvaka are talking about drink they are talking about ghee the bar used it pretty well😅
But why would you fall down drinking ghee.
*I am Advaitian and after being theist then being stonch atheist and now finally being Advaitian I can confidently say there is no such fine and logical philosophy as Advaita Vedanta. Even science feels wrong some times when it hits agaisnt Advaita in some things but Science and Vedanta go hand in hand most of the time.*
Same I am also. It connects me to eternal bramhan. Just awesome ❤
Don't worry my friend, even I as a Hindu all my life am not familiar with most of the terminologies he used. So don't get bogged down by it.
Sad reality due to 1000 year of invasions and broken knowledge transfer systems.
You should watch project shivoham videos❤❤❤
Yes, Like Dhanurvedam, Patanjali and Panini
I thank you for this video. It add to our journeys. It seems superficial but so deep. We need to be in the right mind set to see this
Buddhism believes in a void as the Ultimate Truth ... But deeper than that is Purva Mimansa (Advaita) which says that if the Ultimate is a void - who "knows" this void? So, the ultimate is simply 'being" or Pure Consciousness (awareness, infinite and Bliss)
BTW i was your 5K subscriber...!!! love from India...!! its amazing to see you try to understand Sanatandharma.
FYI.. The last part is known as Astang yoga not many good teachers nowadays.
Our spiritual gurus ( male and female ) have debated about spirituality for thousands of generations
Loved it. Thank you.
as an advaita vedantist if u have any questions always down to answer :)
Can you suggest books to know more about Advaita Vedant? PS: I'm a beginner, I won't start directly with Advaita Vedant.
what do you believe and how do you see the world
@@aashayzanpure4248 Swami Sarvapriyananda gives wonderful guidance on navigating The Upanishads. He has an introduction to Vedanta course on youtube that would be great to start with, or you can even attend one of his lectures if there is a Vedanta Society near you.
@@Issacnewton_ "In a pure mind there is a CONSTANT AWARENESS of the Whole. Where there is CONSTANT AWARENESS of the Whole, FREEDOM ends bondage and joy ends sorrow.”
@@Issacnewton_ Overseer of all actions, the abode of all living beings, the Supreme Witness (the Observer) who connects thought with thought, the Absolute, and beyond all qualities, can be realized through the pursuit of Constant choiceless Awareness of Self which is all pervading.
1 thing he didn't mention and forgot was. There is a possibility that the world has no GOD and these things are also mentioned in
1. Buddhism
2. Jainism
3. Charwak
4. Samkhya
5. Mimansa
So these philosophy don't believe in God yet they are religion and part of hinduism
16:54 well all of hard mode philosophies are manipulations of vedas, so they are linked to Hinduism. 😅
This is foolish statement stems from ignorance
Your reaction is so pure, enjoy your trip 😊
A peice of advice 7:01 you wont understand anything if you dont know the summary of the story. The book you are planning to read is very raw, you will get lost or bored. Every story in the mahabarath as a story within a story, you will come across 1000 of names. Each character has multiple names. Certain names are used for multiple characters.
I recomend you first to read a more simple version.
Please react to little Krishna animated episodes once a week. Which based on his story mention in Bhagavatam puraman
Dont.
Read the actual source instead if you want.
The show is made for kids, so lacks many explanations and stories.
@@Vijaya7225 This people are beginners and they even don't know to read and write Sanskrit. If they watch they get basic knowledge atleast.
Thank you ❤
Karma yoga may look easy on the paper but it's really really hard to practice. I mean, when you buy a house after spending your 5 years of savings and a single earth quake took it out completely. Feeling yourself truly detached with that house and the work you put for the last 5 years to earn that money is not easy. This is just a very simple example. Life can throw you with even more complex situations.
0:13 thats new.
Yea wth. That was soo cool!
I believe in advaita and bhakti altogether
Thing is, when you go beyond the basics, you see Sanatan Dharm. There's absolutely no limit to the vastness and the exploratory nature of Sanatan.
That's also why even though I feel sad seeing people fight against Hindus, I am comforted that everything at the end, falls back to the default -- the hindu culture.
It has been the default, and no amount of changes will replace the defaults of the system.
Bro I love ur video selections and u give off a genuine seeker vibe
What a illustrations and simple way to explain hiduism to beginner though its short but effective
After understanding Hinduism in a basic level ii would suggest reacting to sir rajashri nandi podcast you will understand Hinduism in very deep level
As far as I have noticed, there is nothing ABSOLUTE in Hinduism, and it makes Hinduism a very practical philosophy with lots of exceptions. Nothing can be absolute except THE SUPREME
listening to compressed versions of ideologies crafted over thousands of years and Pagan be like "This is deep man!!" 😂😂😂😂. I guess first reaction of everyone!
btw ur laugh is kinda good they make others in a pleasant mood as well
Why late..😞. ...i always wait for your videos ❤
Brother if youre just getting into Hindusim and learning what it is, its easy to be overwhelmed by philosophies, terms, deities, thick volumes of books etc. I would highly suggest you to watch Legend of Prince Rama the animated film. Its based on the book/epic Ramayana, slightly shortened but has the important facts right
Watcht the TV Show Mahabharat if you dont like Readings book it will ease ur understanding Mahabaharat 2013✌
I'm loving your channel and your videos
Please React on Dhanurvedam by project Shivoham
In Islam , if you say you don't believe in Allah or believe in some other god , that apostasy which is punishable by death
Bhuddha did not chill out in Scenary, Dev Dutta his cousin who was known for mystical powers wanted a rigid approch and Bhuddha a balanced, So Bhuddha lived a luxurious life, he had a sanctuary in every kingdom he accepted.
Bro the thumbnail was smart.. I was confused
You perfectly got it
6:37 that was project shivoham yt.
I believe in the principle of Bhakti and Karma, you will have to give the account of your good or bad karma in some form.
At 26 min. LOL! Advaita is hippy philosphy.....Adi Shankara is turning in his grave with immense pain and deep sorrow.
If somebody someday invents a time machine which can allow us to go back in time without interfering with the timeline I'd really want to go back to the era when these gurus and rushimunis were there before the Indian history went to shit by invasion of other countries and religion. So much information about the old tech which still fascinates the modern whole would be revealed and finally we could even witness the great nation that had a great share in world economy back then along with thier artisans and craftsmanship.
I would request you to visit Kauai Monastery in Hawaii, it is a temple run by non-Indian Hindus and keeping a very good tradition
12:40 Krishna is right. Let's understand this with an Example-> Motivational Study Student Movies fantasize krte h prhai ko. Apne moral duties ko bas karmyogi bnkr Krna. Attachment or krta ka bhav corruption laata h.
Hinduism is not just a religion, It is a way of life. So everything has to be there science maths and whatnot.
Everything starts with accepting it and then proving it and delving into it further,
at 16:00 prakruti = mater -- consists of 3 things sattva, tamas, rajas (aka in modern science atom -- electron, proton, and neutron ).
I saw the thumbnail "who are i" and unintentionally clicked 😂
At 17:00 you say that the these concepts were kinda out of hinduism - somewhat like esoteric thought. I'd disagree with that... words like Satva, Rajas, Tamas are well known and lots of concepts discussed about mathematics/ontology are well known to be in these texts. In fact, lots of the local languages have their own versions of these sanskrit names. The problem - as I see it today - is that of a lack of access and exposure to the deeper side of these religious texts (Although, the same can be said about a book on Algebraic Topology).
iip is great channel. I have been watching his videos for 2 years. He makes very well researched and quality videos. 😊
Loved your video. Don't worry, as a Hindu, I too don't know or have heard/read about much of the stuff in this video.
Hey, please react to Krishna's Dwarka because it gives a very wide perspective to you.
Its related to Bhagwad Geeta too. Please try learning more and more about him
only Project Shivoham can enlight everyone
For Advaita: Swani Sarvapriyanad's talks are rare gems !!
Welcome home my pagan brother!
Very worthy channel! The world must take cognizance of Sanathan philosophy which is very maligned and misconstrued! But once you start reading about it the truths can only be self revealing!
Power to pagan brothers and sisters. I as a hindu will be more than happy in reviving paganism all over the world
Namaste 🙏 from Bharat, kolkata
Guys subscribe this pegan person he is a genuine guy, his thoughts regarding our sanatan dharma is very clear.he wants to know our culture.
Imagine such a advanced philosophy and there are people who think Indians are illiterates believe we just follow idolatry. Now with this kind of philosophy will the Abrahamic religion attract any one of us?
The hippie culture started in India so no surprise 👍
You don't need to focus on terminology.
call it whatever you want. focus on process.
no matter what you call it, it all comes down to what like to do to reach the realization
Hinduism is all open, open for ideas, no strict rules, open for own ways of worshiping, thinking for the scenarios that is the reason why it has many branches of religion like Buddhism, Jainism etc..
love from Australia !
The most fascinating things of all was the acceptance of new ideas in the society which often causing friction among existing ideas.
I request you to react on 'Nilesh Oak on beerbiceps' podcast part 1
Here sir nilesh oak who is multi-talented scientist talks about his research on how he calculated the exact dates of Mahabharat and ramayan.... using combination of modern technology with ancient information
It is like mind-blowing experience to hear him unfolding the secrets..
Thank me late 🙂
