  • Bread in 10 minutes! No oven! Anyone can make this easy bread! It's very easy to prepare with just a few ingredients. These flatbreads are so soft and thin, that they go perfectly with any dish! Only 3 ingredients and quick and easy tortillas are ready!
    Step-by-step recipe:
Pour 300 ml of warm water.
Add 1 tsp of salt (8 g) and stir until completely dissolved.
Add 240 g flour and mix.
Add the rest of the 240 g flour, knead the dough with your hands.
Knead until the dough is soft but not sticky.
Cover and leave for 10 minutes.
Divide the dough into 14 pieces and roll into balls.
Cover the dough so it doesn't dry during cooking.
Melt 100 g of butter in the microwave.
Take 1 ball and roll it as thin as possible.
    Coat with oil.
Roll out the prepared dough with a diameter of 15-16 cm.
Cook over high heat without oil, turning until golden brown.
The flatbreads puffs up a little - that's great.
    Thin and very tasty.

I remember when I was a teenager and my dad had become very ill and had been in intensive care for several months he ended up spending 6 months in intensive care. We were a family of six kids my mom stayed at home and took care of us kids. After about 3 or 4 months money got really tight and my mom used to cook brown beans and make bread from flour and water for us to put with the beans and this is what we ate every night we had to go to school so we could have breakfast and lunch. I tried several times to make the bread from flour and water and it never tasted the same but now I know to add a little bit of salt it might make the difference. I'm going to try this in the morning. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

This is the most basic of all cultures and with the food shortages we will all be grateful to go back to basics ⚓️💕

I made this bread recipe, there is a small error. Double the flour or divide the amount of water by two. This mistake rectified, the recipe is great. You can even replace the butter with olive oil for a more exotic flavor!

Perfect just how my mum used to make them. They are called chapati in Kenya and its served with a meat stew. The not so fortunate eat it rarely like on Christmas day with another expensive dish like chicken stew. Can wait to have then for lunch as we are visiting my mum for lunch with her church members who are doing a courteous visit for the elderly to her house.

Fantastic laacha parathas! I like to add more melted butter onto the top once they are done and then place in a tin with a lid.helps to keep them softer for longer ❤️❤️

Incredible, took me back to my childhood… my mom would make this bread twice a week… peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for school, I hated it because my friends were eating store bought slice bread… I’m making it tonight after work… thank you for sharing and the memories of mom ❤️👍
