I find the Kia to be lots of angles that are not necessary & sort of, "let's add a piece or angle here," being less fluid, where the Skoda seems to be more created & thoughtful with the design & angles blending into each other. Something that is really mentioned in auto reviews is the type of battery installed, the battery & vehicle warranty. For me this could be a deciding factor in a purchase decision

For me it’s the EV3; longer range, 250kg less weight, pricy options standard included and more modern compact design.

I am going to test drive them both. One issue is that Skoda seems to have a lot of kit that are part of additional packs - some of these are expensive. But Skoda offer better finance deals than Kia so comparing like with like is a bit of a challenge.

We are diametrically opposed. See my comments on Skoda (pathetic warranty, crap reliability) and also as mentioned by another. loads of expensive extras required to bring any Skoda up to the standard levels of Kias.

This 'comparison' seems loaded in favour of the Skoda. It is an improvement on current Skodas - losing the grille especially, but it is not ground breaking ...unlike the Kia. I didn't here that the Skoda had an emergency braking feature, yet it was reckoned to be better on safety tech.?

It has emergency breaking assist also with collision avoidance assist.
How is this Elroqs huge step up in design? The front lights are different thatn in Enyaq rest is carbon copy of Enyaq from 3 years ago already.

The front of the Elroque looks like a Hyundai Kona...some weird choices at Skodas design department.

It looks like a nice car, but I didn’t like the black interior roof lining’s. It does make the cars interior too dark in my opinion. I also feel that Skoda could have done better with the rear lighting. I feel it looks a bit dated compared to some others. I include Tesla in the same dated rear lighting too. Just my thoughts..

Skoda still lagging behind with only 3 year warranty and Skoda's increasingly bad reliability* against Kia's SEVEN year warranty Inc SEVEN year FREE connectivity and amazing reliability record. I have had 8 Skodas, but never again!

Elroq (Electric Karoq) has no physical KNOBS for heater controls. That and the pathetic 3 year warranty coupled with the increasingly rubbish reliability of ALL VAG marques counts it right out for from the start.
I will continue to keep my electric driving needs with KIA and their 7 year warranty and amazing reliability.
I have had 8 Skodas in the past, but never again!!
