Dell AX510 Soundbar for Dell monitors

Hey TH-camrs,
Here is a quick video of a Dell AX510 Soundbar for my Dell U2413HM monitor.
Although this is an older screen, it still boasts a 1080p IPS screen at 60Hz, with really high end colour accuracy. Not everyone's "cup of tea", but perfect for a casual gamer and general computer use by today's standards.
The soundbar takes it's power from my particular model of screen (so that's one less power brick to plug in). On the left it has 2 headphone jacks so you could just use it as a headphone amp/splitter if your PC doesn't throw out enough volume on it's own. On the right hand side it has a power on/off/volume dial, which once you have it at the right volume, you can pretty much leave it where it is as when you turn the monitor off, the power supply to the soundbar turns off too.

I love these soundbars, they sound pretty good for what they are and they're compatible with a whole slew of Dell monitors made in between 2003 and 2012 (up to the 13 series and the U3014). the newer fully USB powered ones like the AC511 are good too, but I don't like them as much and their compatibility is much lower. these soundbars have kept me on the UltraSharps for a long time due to how little space they take up

Quick question, don't you need to also connect the 3.5mm audio jack after connecting the power input to receive audio from the PC?

hey so help me here. whats happening is that the volume dial is not really working now and like its stuck to a low volume... its hard to watch movies and things with friends when i invite them over what can i do to fix it? and the lock on the sound bar is too loose it swinging out of the holder

Have you tried turning up the volume in the PC itself?

The audio cable goes to the audio out jack on the PC

Can you connect this soundbar to a ps4 slim ?

if you have it attached to a monitor that has an HDMI audio passthrough (e.g. U2410), then yes

i have Dell monitor that uses such sound bar, the model is AX510, CAN ANY BODY HELP ME BY RETURN AND TELL ME WHERE I CAN BUY REPLACEMENT SCREEN FOR THIS MODEL.

Best to do a search on eBay... Thats where I normally go for new replacement screen, but it might be better to just get the same model used for the same price as a new screen

if you manage to mount it somewhere and power it via 12v (not usb, the round thing). But that doesnt make sense in my opinion, I'd buy a modern one at that point.
