For those of u having trouble with monitor readiness Just follow the drive cycle instructions Idle for 5 minutes then 55 for 5 minutes then slow to 20 for a minute or two then back to 55 for 5 minutes
I switched the catalytic converter and both oxygen sensors on my 2007 chevy cobalt 2.2l drives great but P0420 code came in again I double check there is a small leak light air blowing out of the downstream connection between the gasket what should I do to seal this properly so that the p0420 code doesn't keep coming up. And is that small leak what is throwing my code off ?!
I just got back from the mechanic. They want to charge me 1900 to replace. The accordion part of it is cracked. The exhaust manifold is cracked as well.

1aautoparts.com is my go to. Got a Catalytic converter for my 06 Equinox for $331 and it came with gaskets. Chevy house here wanted $1184 plus $336 for labor.
Does this work as far as the steps for an 06 Chevy Equinox @BadMatt? I just changed out my 02 sensors and im still having a rough start and rough idling.
that rattle on startup is the timing chain tensioner get that replaced and the timing set inspected ASAP
Yeah that was bad, my hhr has 250k on it and never rattles knock on wood

Thanks for the video. I could totally do this myself instead of paying someone else $400.

Sorry for the late response. I suggest cleaning the throttle body, maybe replace the MAF sensor.
