Luke, don’t know if you noticed, the van at the traffic lights at the beginning went through a red light!
You beat me to it! Haha
@@KonigJindiao was gonna say the same
Van drivers don't surprise me anymore 😂
Hello Luke. Funny seeing you delivering at one of my old delivery points in Chessington. In regards to the Police vans & Cars they use the ground at the rear of the Garden Centre to let the Police dogs have a run around & do some training. Also they like to sit in there so they can get onto the M25 quickly.
Living in a small village which has huge lorries thundering through which when one is walking on a narrow footpath beside the road isn't nice.
Also some lorries churn up the grass verges with no thought of slowing down when meeting other vehicles.
. It's a pity all drivers aren't as considering as Luke.
Thanks for your videos which I have recently found on TH-cam
You don't want to meet Alan Wake in your yard. Those shovels could wake up on their own. Good luck with your move to your new yard.
Ashtead Village between Leatherhead and Epsom is My Home Village, which I left in 1967 at the age of 11.
Although I have never been able to visit, I still maintain Ties with the Village and its people.
My company is going to pay for my HGV training when I pass my theory and hazard perception tests next week. I will be learning and driving in Cornwall on the narrow roads so I am sure if I can drive an arctic here I can drive one anywhere else!
From a fellow Cornish man to another. Good luck fella
Great video Luke. Talking about SNAP, I agree, its so easy for you guys. I know its completely different, but when me and my hubby visited France with the caravan, we have a device in the car, so that when you approach the toll booths on their motorways, you drive slowly through (we used the lane for the HGVs), the device bleeps, the barrier raises and away you go, and you get the invoice at the end of the month. So easy to use🙂
1:44 can recommend The Star if you are up in Chessington. They do good meals in there
Fair play to you for helping Martyn out with the fundraiser, i have donated, anyway just wanted to say fair play, he a decent sort sure who wouldn't want to support him
Anything for martyn mate. He’s a great friend 🤙🏻
@@lukecinahgv hes a nice guy
Hi Luke. The truck complainers. When they go to the loo and there is no paper . Put up a sign = ( There is no toilet paper due to the fact that the truck that brings it is not allowed in this village. So bring your own! ) have a nice stay at our Hotel 😂🦃🦃🦃💪
Yet another fantastic video Luke. I’ve been watching your videos since pre pandemic & your videos never disappoint. Keep up the good work bud.
So what does the personnel number plate on the prepresent
Thank you Luke Enjoyed your video as always You have not said how it went at hospital with the eye all good hopefully. Thanks again Take care and stay safe and safe Trucking.
Hi Luke, those two garden centres used to be two of my drops when I worked for a wholesale supplier to garden centres. strange seeing them again ten years after the company i worked for went bankrupt (due to the new owners getting greedy!)
Great content can watch you for hours. Love the narrating, its almost asmr lol
what sat nav on phone you using did mess with you before?
passed last week. thanks for all the content Luke
So strange seeing you in going around the area I live around, for both Chessington & Squires!
Also van at the beginning a right bell - ran the red light for the left-turn lane.
Hi Luke thank you great video always look forward to them. Paul in Kent
Nice one Luke, thanks 👍👍
I’d put money on the two vehicles worth of Police being in the garden centre cafe.
Fab video as usual Luke ❤
Sorry for what your going through with your grandad Luke it's hard very hard to watch I lost both my dad and grandad to it two of my biggest hero's and I miss them both sill to this day
What happens if you don’t have the number for the village issue?
i guess you just crack on.. not like its a legal thing its just angry yokals with no clue of forked theyd be without logistics. then again our government is so hostile to trucks they would probably make it a requirment.
Passed my class 2 test this week, I'm seeing why companies are saying they have a shortage of drives. 99% of jobs seem to not want newly passed drivers.
Years ago the companies would put an experienced driver with a new recruit to make sure they learned the ropes.
What you have to remember is that it is not the drivers responsibility for company profits, if the office has quoted the wrong price then its the office not the driver who is to blame.
Hi demise well done on passing your class 2 👍🏻. It is hard to get on as a new driver but keep trying ok. My advice would be try your local council on the bin trucks even an agency that my have link's to the council ok. There are companies that will take & train you so don't be discouraged. You will find a job ok 👍🏻 good luck 👍🏻
I got onto an agency and was doing all sorts of driving, from vans to 7.5tonners and then eventually got in a class 2. No one asked what vehicles I had been driving, it just looked like I had experience as I could say I’ve done multi drop/general haulage or whatever with such and such, basically a little bit of bending the truth. Now a happy class 1 driver on containers and loving it!
@@rdtruckinguk8532
Good for you, it's not the vehicle types but the type of loads you need for the experience. Don't forget, if your not sure about your experience with certain loads, make yourself known about it with the office as they must then be responsible for ensuring that they are taking the risk properly. Don't be afraid to refuse to take loads your not sure about.
Join job agencies and ask to do CAT C/C1 rigid work until you get a permanent position. Great way to get experience.
Poa do you use or can you just put it on break?
Absolute legend!
The council could even offer to widen the roads and they'd still be unhappy about it.
Thanks for carrying Jenko's message. That bloke is alright and he's doing something for a great cause.
Nice to see places you know on clogs for a change
got riverside cafe truck stop first exit off m4 from m25
Hi Luke. Great video!! Once again, you don’t fail to impress. Keep up the good work. Some serious miles up to Scotland this week! 😊👍
Hello Luke - amazing videos - apart from SNAP any other essential apps for iPhone you’d recommend and also you use a Bluetooth earpiece - why do you not use the lorry Bluetooth and what Earpiece do u recommend ?
Thanks
(HGV Trainee)
Ill be at Silverstone F1 again this year on a Recovery truck. So long as I'm not picking up Russell's Merc again.
What was that van doing at the start , the traffic lights were red for him.
You are a happy trucker we call in New Zealand.
Love the fact that the village doesn't like lorries but one if them has a rigid horse box parked on their drive
Hi Luke, I bet those residents who complain about the HGV'S have no problem with them delivering to their personal address or to a local shop but to a local company trying to keep its business going is a no no! Same for me in the dustcart collecting cardboard from businesses wherever they are located 🙄 some people are never happy unless they are moaning about something, have a good week out next week
I used to think that the same, my gripes were with the councils for not planing the roads and access properly for trucks to service the businesses that paid for the councils in the first place.
Talking about corruption, I did make enquiries once about weight and width restrictions and found that they usually involve a resident in the street who is a Councillor who used his position to get trucks banned because he thought they lowered the value of his house. How sinful. Members of the council shamelessly using the council for their own benefits.
have a great next wk keep warm
The whole ideas of the motorway service stations was to comply with the laws on local authorities legal responsibility to provide amenities for travellers and goods vehicle drivers. These were designed to be free of charge in compliance with the 'Free movement of goods order'.
The introduction of charges was a Conservative government money making racketeering using a discreditable excuse for the maintenance of the facilities which should've been free anyway.
Also, many companies were forcing the drivers to pay parking and costs out of their own pockets which was totally wrong.
About damaging the grass verges, they have changed the laws now and you can be prosecuted for any damage caused but I've never heard of anyone getting prosecuted, especially as it's farmers and councils mainly responsible for the damage anyway.
Just wanted the video with the bit about your Friend Is Sister passed away if brain cancer
I on my 17th December 2022 of Breast Cancer & Lung Cancer
Another great video Luke, thank you! Can’t beat a free wheel wash! Keep up the good work and keep safe! 😀🚛
Hi luke, love the content! I'm studying for my theory and will book lessons once passed. Whats your view on people passing a test in a draw-bar lorry to then drive articulated lorry? I've been told by a training school it's cheaper and easier but I'm thinking I'd rather pay more rather than cutting corners to learn properly. I'd be keen to hear your opinion
We have draw bar lorries( wag and drag) at Perry's recycling and I did an assessment drive in a wag and drag set up, the trailer follows the unit( rigid) much better and doesn't cut corners so much as an artic, reversing them is much the same but don't make big movements on the steering wheel or it will soon go in the wrong direction
am going right to a class 1 myself and am baffled that its possible... though am doing it through work on a governmentfunded 12 month apprenticship that seems to involve a lot more checks on standards. otherwise id question if it was the best idea myself haha.
id say if your comfortable and are paying attention should be fine if ya take ya time. just done be like too many of the tools passing at the moment who cant even drive cars nevermind artics. seen too many trucks turn up at workt that cant even reverse
@@Gazzxy I see far too many van drivers like that everyday and each time I think to myself hope they never try driving a truck! Most can't even back up a small van in a straight line
I've done wagon and drag mainly on demountable boxes using 4 wheel drawbars with a combined converter dolly so there's actually 2 pivot points but once you've got the hang of it and learned the physics of the geometry you can reverse the skeletons under the demountable box van to load the trailer first then drop it off to load the box onto the prime mover then of course you have to re couple to the trailer. Usually best use a banksman but if you don't have a banksman then I've just reversed the drag and prime mover between the legs of the demount and secured the box on the prime mover then reversed the trailer under the demount for the trailer. Sounds complicated but if you can keep the running gear in view before you straighten up then sit up on the mirrors for the last couple yards everything should go OK without hitting the legs or damaging the ground draging the bottom of the legs.
Either way you'll pick it up. Pun.
@@das5813 I'm not questioning if I could drive it, I was more concerned that the driver school who are meant to get people ready for the road are suggesting a short cut to get into an articulated lorry. Personally I'd rather pay more to get the proper experience opposed to taking a short cut and getting behind the wheel of an articulated lorry to find myself in a situation where I need more driving time to get familiar with it
@Luke C in a HGV : Do you know that the book you are recommending has terrible review on Amazon with examples regarding quality of print, image quality and content (being not up to date)? Other reviews seem to be bought. I hope it improved since 2021 when the review was written. I am a German class 1 HGV driver and so I have no idea how outdated the content is. I do love watching your videos and I find it amazing how you and other drivers cope with narrow roads and customers whose places are tiny. Keep up!
The book has over 700 reviews, is #1 best-seller in "engineering teaching aids" and averages a 4.6/5 star rating. Due to that fact, I'd be ignoring the "terrible review".
@@thomaswilcox5265 - I expect a better print quality from a book (Amazon asks for EUR41) printed in this century than what was possible in the late 70ties. Please see the photos in the review. I cannot speak of the content itself as I - being a German HGV driver - am not interested in British rules.A pity Luke does not find any words.
He's paid to promote it so can't really blame him.
A very good Sunday evening to you all from Wellington Somerset
Hi Luke, that was a quick trailer swap, great vlog and content. All the best to you.

fantastic reverser is ol Luke.
Hi luke hope you are well do a brilliant job stay safe mate
I think your videos are awesome watch every single one keep it up
Great video Luke
I live in Cornwall the road you were on is much wider than what we have
they probably took all the say no signs down when they realised if they stopped the trucks they get no more goods.. that or someone extracted the sticks from their backsides
This set off my Siri on my iPad 😂
Hi Luke, great vlog yet again. what are your predictions for the formula 1 season. What are your expectations for the new drivers (Piastri, De Vries)
I drive trucks in the sims lol
thank you have a fab next wk keep warm bye from norwich
Another great video again
I neeed that hoodie, but in Black!
Well done Luke good job 👏💪💯👍
Great video
I don't like these 'Our village' signs. Not very friendly is it.
This is a local village for local people
@@PropBoyGinge Yes. Everyone else can *iss off. 😊😊
Do they own the whole village and the land it’s on?
Thought not
Stuck up folk who vote labour
Maybe because some drivers cant drive and mess ppls grass verge up all the time every year we would get 1 who was unable to get round a barn where even the signs say no hgvs but best bit by old man had no problem getting round or even reversing a bit some drivers are just no good at it I got loads of pics of the garden messed up over the years that's why us villages some times hate you
Great video luke
The van at 4 mins also went through his lanes red light…
Always stop at Cobham, it has nandos 🤣😂

Thankyou mate. Appreciate it :)
Nice one luke
Sorry Luke and Martin terrible about cancer I’ve got family members aswell that have gone through it. I urge people not to donate or fundraise for cancer research. They will not release the cure, why would they went the ceo is making millions a year? Chemotherapy companies would go bust, raise money for proper charities that’ll help people instead of feeding the rich.
Nothing changes then, I used to get that all the time, "It's not booked in". Often it's the office not telling the staff about the delivery but sometimes it's just down to them forgetting.
I think I've delivered there, they've got cameras on the lane and a sign no overnight parking.
There used to be a driver at Swains used to stink the cab out with scents, like a ladies bathroom. Probably didn't like the smell of hot oil and grease.
Imagine the village without trucks no food no clothes nothing
These villages are so stifling, the people that live in them are just awful, never met a nice down to earth villager in my life so far
not only truck drivers know the symbols im a coach driver so i know them as well
I think we should cut off the people that say no hgv in our village and then they will complain there is no local produce etc. But then the businesses will suffer for it. It is loud when an empty trailer comes past especially of the road isn't smooth but drivers try be considerate. People just have no idea.
Them villagers would be moaning when the shite they want to buy dont get delivered cos they don’t want the trucks ..pppfft like everywhere in the world ,,it truckers that keep the country rolling .
truck looks better just white no stickers.

From me and my best friend in the whole wide world 🌎 my dog max across the pond in Hamilton Ontario Canada
Typical Jenkies doesn’t want to slow down !
Please don’t include the “hey Siri” again my iPad tried to make a call!
I tend to find it is people who have moved in recently that then complain about existing businesses. Should have asked their estate agents.
If someone has to deliver to a anti hgv village because What they ordered has to be delivered by hgv. It should be dropped and left on the main road for them to get it. Then watch them moan about that
🚛👍
I don't get why they are blaming the drivers? They should be focusing their anger at the business in their area that has to have large trucks feed them.
You should read the book you brag about. And you should declare to u tube your sponsorship
