We have idiots like this at my place of work they have all these signs saying how they want your load to fastened etc with people supposed to check they did it that way, when I "check" I just tell drivers how it's done doesn't bother me because once you leave it's your responsibility not mine and if the company I work for tries to force that on me then there's no way in hell I'm accepting that.
Hey Luke you need to stop rubbing your eye.Its bruised and people will probably jump to conclusions and think you've been in a fight.Have you tried eye drops etc?.
From someone that works in cargo and serves trucks often he is an absolute dafty. You tell us how you want your cargo loaded, and you tell us if you're happy with it, we don't tell you what to do with our truck and naturally you don't tell us how to do our job that's how it works. If the driver says he's not happy because he doesn't feel the load is secure, then that is the drivers call and you accomodate them - IT'S THEIR TRUCK, if something falls out or off and hits someone at 50mph on a motorway they're going to prison - not the warehouseman, they are at the end of the day a customer. That bloke is a jobsworth mate.
You can't be friends with everyone mate. Also don't get annoyed at yourself for what you said, that's his problem for being a snowflake. You are responsible for strapping and its not his job, he has the attitude problem. You're a top class bloke, keep doing what you're doing and keep her between the hedges!!
Surprised the forklift person has enough power to ban you, he get fired after the company gets massive fines for that statement the forklift driver made if reported to the correct places
@nathancorry1637 As the truck driver is the one LEGALLY responsible for the safety of his own truck loads, the fork-hoist driver CAN be held & thus legally cited as being in NON COMPLIANCE with loads leaving his place of business. Thus as the other person (@leexgx ) said - massive fines on his own company AND the fork hoist operator SHOULD get fired. The onus isNOT on the fork hoist driver for load safety on trucks - but on the driver (only). If someone is telling drivers they CANNOT comply with the law (or loss that client) then that client NEEDS to be blacklisted by all.
Just go, and send the bill for the haul you would have taken. Its not you who should loose money for something thats out of your controll. If they want to pay for "nothing" just let them. Not your problem that you have to deal with children with a bad temper that's waken upp the wrong side of baby bed. 😎😎🤣🤣
Hiya mate was surreal to meat you at Mersey wharf on Friday afternoon, glad you were so polite and nice! Hope to see you again some time soon mate! 👍 (I was the driver who told you I watched all your videos, I wasn’t lying 😂)
If I was that company I’d be punting the forklift driver. Their product is now stuck on their yard. Their customer isn’t getting the product when they want it and your boss should be sending them the bill for fuel and time. All because a forklift driver got called out for being incompetent.
Hello. One tip I learnt was that if you are strapping down a high load, portacabins or suchlike, put half a twist in the strap. It stops it flapping as you go along. Keep on trucking buddy. ilona, trucker for 32 years.
If you do that in Australia and the scalies catch you, you'll get pinched for improperly secured load. In their understanding, a strap even half twisted does not have the same restraining capacity as a strap laid flat. It's anal and dopey, but that's their thing.
Doing training now to become a trucker and one thing that is pushed hard is the driver is responsible for securing the load, no one else. We also have a nice guide with values for friction and how many straps you need for cargo at x and y dimensions with z weight, quite handy. Only 44 tons phew max here in Sweden is 64 tons on most main roads and some have 74 tons, then we can also be 4.5m tall Vs 4 in EU.
You were going to trigger my OCD with the one crossed strap at the back, so glad u carried on with the second strap! Looks far more professional as well!
Cracking video as always Luke, tight old reverse on that site! when I was on the forklift in the yard I wouldn’t dream of telling a truck driver how to load his motor or how many straps to use and I’m an ex truck driver! Mind you I went over to the self unloading side! Buses!!😂 keep up the good work and keep safe! 😀🚛
Well you certainly give us different videos Luke! These colds can hit us quickly and hard and also knock us for six, so take care when driving around. Moving house is a nightmare, I agree. Finding a buyer at the right price so you can afford the house you want to buy and then waiting for agents and legal folk makes it very hard work. I wish you good luck!
Hi Luke, I think I would be protecting those straps at the rub points, I have seen straps cut through like butter when placed on steel, especially when the load is bound to bounce. All the best.😁
I’ve loaded from both of those sites lots of times. Never had any issues with either. The lads at Mersey Wharf are sound as. As to regards of strapping the mesh. We always strap half way. 4 or 5 packs up. Then when the other 4 or five packs are on we use 4 straps over the top. Same as yourself, but throwing them opposing directions. 2 outer to near side. 2 inner straps to offside. Just helps keep it a bit more stable. Ultimately the driver is responsible for his load. No matter how many straps the forklift driver at nwt reckons you should use. You should use as many as you feel comfortable with. Different people strap different ways. Not to say any of them are wrong. If the loads gets to its destination safely and securely who can really argue. Nice civic 👌🏻
Couldn’t agree with you more mate on all parts. Even the place where I got banned. The lads seemed decent. Got on with them I felt. But obviously I upset them. I shouldn’t have titled the video what I did. That’s why I changed it. But the damage was done it seems.
Hi 👋, just came across you site and I’m loving it. Your a pleasure to listen too. I’m not a trucker, nor do I have any truckers in my family, but I so enjoy watching you. 🥰
Great to see your general working day on HGVs. My Late Brother in law was an HGV driver, and loved every minute of his job. Except when he was hauling stuff for the Millennium Dome. He apparently had to get into a Road that took ages to get into, and ages to get out. He said that in all his years it was only that place that stressed him out. Well! apart from the time a London Taxi driver P@##£& him off,and he got out of the cab, and smashed both of the taxis headlights. Being on a set of traffic lights at the time. I only encounter you guys, on the M5-M6, (I’m up and down them a lot) when many just put their indicator on and pull out. Not leaving much time to do anything but brake. Good Channel glad I found it. 👍
What a start to a video. NO, its that Fruehauf Speedliner curtainsider over your right shoulder! Where is that trailer now bud? Is that still in service? That must be at least 23 years old. TIP had loads out of Cranes, and they didn't want Fruehauf decals over them either. What a blast from the past.
Great video, must admit I'm retired and don't miss wagon driving although the last place I worked ferrying full tanks of fresh water around on nights was probably the best driving job I had. I'd just passed state retirement age and wanted to carry on driving another couple of years but unfortunately had a stroke, luckily i recovered well but not allowed to drive HGV's for 12 months so actually retired. Entirely up to you how many straps you need, certainly not up to some plank sat on a fork lift. Love the videos Luke, hope your cold got better soon and the house hunting is going well 😃😃
I'd be naming and shaming that company.. have people boycott them or make them pay mega money to move product. I've been a forklift driver in the past and wouldn't tell a truck driver how to do their job.. likewise I wouldn't listen to them trying to tell me how to do mine unless they deemed the load unsafe. I'm now a class 2 driver and loving life on the road. Even though I drive in central London.
Yup, its like an electrician telling a plumber hownto do his job... Forklift driver is not the truck driver - he shouldnt say anything about the truck load - its the driver whos truck it is to tell the koader qhere and how to load thenparticular load. Im a forklift driver and the driver who is actually xriving the truck tells me how they want it loaded, i dont have a say in it - theyre the ines takibg it, transporting it, and delivering it
Somewhat weird watching you drive past The Crown in Stratton since I used to work in a company called Autoprime in Parsonage Road, just 100 yards to your right at that mini-roundabout. The company is now gone after 2 take-overs and a management buy-out it finally folded in 2001. I used to live along Ermine Street to the south in Griffiths Close which was really handy in terms of getting to work. Left Swindon in November 21 after I retired from driving fridge trailers out of Iceland's depot and now watch you dragging around the country from the comfort of our home in Northern Ireland!
As far as I’m concerned Luke, they’ve shot their selves in the foot. Now half the nation knows what a child like pathetic company they are. Hope you soon feel better. Mick.
Good to see a driver aware of the weight. Many moons ago when I was a fitter for a haulage company a driver defected his lorry for poor performance and acceleration. When the foreman checked his loading doc's he had loaded 2 containers of 20 tonnes each. His gross was 57 tonnes on a 4 axle rig which should have been 36 tonne max.
The LAW states that everyone involved in the loading is responsible. About 30 years ago (before the driver cpc) a company started a new driver on to collect a load of pickle and oiled steel sheets. He claimed that he didn't know how to use the load restraints and so the loaders at the picklers decided to use banding to strap the packs of 8x4 steel sheets to the trailer. He got about a mile and half before the steel broke free and slid off the trailer and crushed a number of parked cars. The police asked my gaffer to use his forklift to pick the steel up and reload it while the road was closed. When my gaffer got to the incident he found a load of straps and stretchers in the passenger footwell in the cab. The company hadn't even bothered to explain to the new driver how to use them and he hadn't bothered to look for them. I believe that both the loaders at the consigners and driver was prosecuted but the driver got a reduced fine because his company hadn't given him what was called sufficient training . This was a number of cases where drivers got a reduced penalty by claiming that the employer hadn't given the driver training on load restraints.
You talk about buying a house Luke. I cycle past the ‘building site’ you delivered to, on the closed road. The whole of the few hundred acres is a new build for one of the wealthiest ladies in the UK, complete with helipad etc. Rumoured to be in excess of £80m.
On behalf of everyone, thanks for using the fogs aka "look at me I'm a knob" warning lights. The way you revved the shit out of that stone cold engine confirms the theory.
Full of compliments. Thankyou man. 🥰 For the record, I don’t drive with fog lights on normally, it was actually foggy the last time I drove it. I said I’m “that guy” because I thought maybe it would encourage engagement. Not many people bit. But you did I didn’t rev the engine until it was warm either. The thing is, I could’ve showed 5 minutes of me not saying anything. I don’t think they would be very good for viewing. In most of my videos there are massive jumps. If anything it is a genuine compliment if you can’t spot the jump. So thank you As for the lines. Yea I definitely don’t park straight. And for reason. 2 reasons actually. 1, I’m fat. I need more space to get out. And 2. So no one damages my car. That’s why I always park the furthest away. Hopefully that’s answered some of your question my friend. Please do come back soon ❤️
I find it incredible that you get banned from a site because you made sure your load is safely secured. OMG there are some numpties about, there really are some numpties.
Hope you get over your cold quickly. I got hit real hard by a nasty cold variant last month and it knocked me off my feet for a week then took another 2 weeks to finally shake it, worst cold I've had in like 10 years and was taken completely by surprise by how hard it hit me and forced me to take a week off work because I couldn't get out of bed for a week, made going to bathroom interesting, on my worst day it took me 20 minutes to get out bed and on my feet plus another 5 minutes to walk to bathroom lol. Ironically enough everything else that I usually suffer with went away, does anyone else experience this when they have a flu or cold?
@@2reeceybaby bottled water is pretty expensive so I sorted out a good size 10ltr water filter & I filter rain water. I change the two filters every 8 months at a cost of £45. I do home brew with this system too. In my area there's 50 contaminants in the tap water & it states this info on the water company's web site. Yes the water system is the easiest way too poison the public.
I don’t know what the average house sells for in your location, but in California where I’m at, houses are completely unaffordable for the average couple. Good luck on finding your new home.👍
Id be the same on the load being strapped down aswell, as its your licence at the end of the day, ive been in a similar situation when on the bins, went o a site to pick there bins up, and the security guard hated me and wanted me to collect the bins in a certain way round, til i told him where he can shove it, and wen uttered that i'll be banned from sight, i just laughed and replied thats fine as your bins wont get emptied as im the only one in the are that can empty them as there are no trucks anywhere close to the site, they then soon backed down and said erm ok and when turned up the following week the same security officer just opened the barriers and didn't utter a single word to me
Yah nah, I wouldn't trade that for a micra neither. As for the storeman with an issue over how many straps a truck driver uses, he's not responsible for the truck and safely getting the load to the destination is he!
Hi Luke know how u feel been there got the tea shirt driving the same sort of truck nights away banned from sites the same as u truckers don’t have a very easy life it’s a lonely life I really enjoyed it but am retired now at 70 years old and still miss it remember u will get that white line fever from Graham in downham mkt in Norfolk
if you mess up a reverse, pull forward more than you need, it feels bad but do it, you make it easier on ya self. im 17 years a professional and know the little things, even when i'll, you take up more room than you need and you'll make less mess trust me. on the note that you were ill, i was never ill as a truck driver, but the second i went into public service, i was ill all the time..
Banned or disciplinary action are the 2 terms most commonly used in this game … No one gives 2 effs about trucks, until you smash one up ,, then It’s a pantomime
Ayyy you were not too far from where I live, in this video (Telford) The M6 is a horrible motorway. Not surprised you got caught up in traffic. Take it easy Luke!
A lot of all kinds of information (mostly wrong, for most European laws). I'm a forklift operator, I'm also a truck driver. None of the trucks that I loaded came out without straps or with too few straps. If the driver argued with me, he simply got a loading paper without my signature and with the note that there are too few or no straps. When each of the trucks arrived at the scale at the exit to receive the exit papers, they were asked by the operator of the scale whether they wanted to put on straps or unload the loaded goods.
Man, the house buying goes a bit smoother where i live. Since they usually wait until all the booked people have looked at the house, then people can basically bid on it like an auction. It does lead to some pretty wack house prices at times though.
Surely its the forklift driver’s job to load the goods safely, and the driver’s responsibility to secure the load safely. I assume it was the boss of the business that decided not to load you and not the forklift drivers decision?
Hi Luke, hope you're getting paid by the hour? all you have to do to pick up a load I'm an old-school retired American driver that worked driving by the mile, loads would consist of at least 500- 700 trips, hoping for the long-haul trips across the country hope you feel better, stay safe
I know I'm getting sick when I get a scratchy throat. I always got sick after a plane flight, so I use a N95 mask when I fly. But for a long-haul driver it is usually caused by unsanitary conditions where you may eat on the road.
Counterbalance driver myself, I'd never tell a driver how to do their job that's ridiculous, I have had to shout at drivers before who tried to run under my forks instead of going all way round or waiting to get back into the cab, I've even refused to tip loads due to the driver kept doing that and jumping onto the trailer whilst loading/tipping
There is nothing else in this world quite like finishing a long shift and getting into a nice car to drive home...........THEN HITTING THE ENGAGE WARP SPEED F**K IT BUTTON!
Banned for strapping YOUR LOAD ? wow … Maybe the law should make the Forkies responsible for their loading as equal as your responsibilities on the road as well, including fines and going infront of the TC and DVSA fines. That would make them think harder about their choices when asking you to move out of the yard etc. I have refused moving from sites by banksmen on sites until I am secure and ready for the Highway which is governed by LAW not Rules on a site. Hope you get better soon buddy.
One of the first thing I learned from forklift guys in a factory. When it's on the lot, you listen to yourself and your boss. When it's off the lot, you listen to the truck driver.
Been meaning to ask this…..where’s your nodding dog gone ? Your lovely daughter bought you that ( yes with your money but that’s not the point ) You will be in trouble big time.
Want to get unloaded close to time? Always carry a dozen beer and offer it to the forklift driver. Got me loaded every time and saved half a day (= more earnings). Presents at Christmas to the despatchers - always first to get loaded at the container terminals. 10 mins for me, an hour for most.
As they say it's always the drivers fault lol. to me really they should have given the forklift Dvr a talking too. these sorts of things is part of why I am leaving Trucking and starting my own business instead.. in other words im voting with my feet. im currently Buying a House aswell witch im mid way thru the buying process witch is long winded but carat wait. all the best with you're house hunting and make sure you get a survey done due that has saved my neck.
Mate, I work in a warehouse. And whether it's our own trucks or a subbie. We leave them alone to strap up etc. Im paid by the hr, not by the truck. I don't care how long it takes. Once it's on the back of the wagon it's no longer my responsibility!
Don't get why so many sites, depots, yards etc are down tight roads and country lanes with next to no manoeuvrability. I'm not even a truck driver yet it irritates me so much
I do have a dedicated tomtom truck nav but before I even used it a friend recommended the app. I've used the app (I'm a weekend warrior only, full time non-driving job during the week) exclusively and not used the dedi at all, it's been fine over the last year but yesterday it turned me off the A4 just before Thatcham and took me down a a non paved road that even the trees were too low, I was petrified haha. So I'm asking the question, is a dedi more comprehensive than the app, or are they the exact same thing (yes I had my weight, height etc dialled in and was absolutely on truck mode) Edit, for anyone interested it turned me off the A4 up new hill road and onto School hill road and back to the A4. I had a feeling it was wrong. But as it was a new area to me and hadn't steered me wrong before I hesitantly trusted it.
I'm just starting out my CE journey as I've passed my practical do you have any tips on getting work I'm a coach driver now everyone wants experience they would rather take someone that has had the licence for years and hasn't driven. my coach is large i have 5 years under my belt but its not respected I'm thinking about going with the agency for a few months then till something permanent comes up and in a year do my ADR I'm in london kent side btw
Every now and then on your clips i hear an audible alarm going off, a series of 3 sharp beeps repeated four or so times, what is it? Keep up the great content!
if there is a accident on the road the police will ask who strapped it down and you say the forklift driver advised you they will say it’s down to you and your responsibility as your the driver. so tell forklift driver to do one nothing to do with him. it’s your license at end of the day.
At 11.50 when say let me get some lube 😮I nearly choked my coffee drink then realised was can of lube 😂😂 haha Also £3.20 for ibuprofen 8 tablets that’s a rip off but that service stations, for you get well soon
Sudafed is what you need ,Liquid or Tablets, Clears the Nose and Sinus Tracts in 30 + Minutes👍. Were you Sporting a Shiner in your Right Eye and Bruised Forehead Luke? .
What two videos in one day the keyboard worriers are going to love with the first few mins lost sound in the last on and then another one again what are people going see? Maybe some outtakes would be nice every so often who knows 😀
Liked the video first time I've seen one of yours,I know that company that was parked up one of their drivers took my drivers side mirror off my new van,hit and run I got the name off the wagon they did admit liability
Luke, I haven't seen you in a long while. Some how my subscribe seemed to have 'come off!' Strange! Anyway, I'm back on now. How are you and your family? I am your disabled watcher!
It's the same with renting, it took me about 6 months to find somewhere after splitting with the ex and still had to live in a sour atmosphere 😕🤦♂️🤣 you think you've found somewhere nice then there's about 10 other people viewing the place, or it's gone before you've even had a look in! It's a strange market these days, renting or buying.
Lucky it wasn’t Jay going to that place lol when he told that Forklift driver with the attitude straight when he drove for Maxi which was well deserved after he spoke to Jay like crap.
Drivers responsibility ...not the forklift driver .......Driver is the one who straps and secures the load ...he is the one responsible for those straps ...no one else .. if the straps are faulty ..is it down to the forklift driver to check?.. No! Once the load has left the site and goes onto the public highway..Driver is the one responsible

Hi Luke, do you also recommend the Tom Tom 7” Sat Nav go expert still?
or even use road lords, same mapping and free for basic use, 25 quid a month for tom tom is fucking criminal
Thanks for reminding me why I packed in trucking after 45 years HGV & PCV driving

Forklift driver is not the truck driver - he shouldnt say anything about the truck load - its the driver whos truck it is to tell the koader qhere and how to load thenparticular load. Im a forklift driver and the driver who is actually xriving the truck tells me how they want it loaded, i dont have a say in it - theyre the ines takibg it, transporting it, and delivering it
If anything I would of jumped off the forklift and helped throw the straps over if time was an issue
A thought of advice: paracetamol is designed specifically to reduce your temperature. I hope you feel better now, given that that was a while ago x
Mick.
Blimey I didn't know he had that kind of reach.
the life of a truck driver ...something i always wanted to be......you are a credit to all the things we have...so so important
I came to the comments section expecting to see old hands being negative and was very refreshed to find a community. More of this please
Luke, you are the man.If every driver had your attitude, the roads would be much safer. You are the perfect HGV driver. Good on you mate.
You got a brown nose mate?
smile in your face as you rev that type r says it all man, keep the car, you deserve it brother :)
You’re absolutely welcome my friend.
@@lukecinahgv nice parking skills too! That massive Civic never had a chance to fit between dem 2 white lines.
Full of compliments. Thankyou man. 🥰
For the record, I don’t drive with fog lights on normally, it was actually foggy the last time I drove it. I said I’m “that guy” because I thought maybe it would encourage engagement. Not many people bit. But you did
I didn’t rev the engine until it was warm either. The thing is, I could’ve showed 5 minutes of me not saying anything. I don’t think they would be very good for viewing. In most of my videos there are massive jumps. If anything it is a genuine compliment if you can’t spot the jump. So thank you
As for the lines. Yea I definitely don’t park straight. And for reason. 2 reasons actually. 1, I’m fat. I need more space to get out. And 2. So no one damages my car. That’s why I always park the furthest away.
Hopefully that’s answered some of your question my friend.
Please do come back soon ❤️
@@lukecinahgv Well said Luke! 🤣😂😅 Hook, Line & Sinkered that one!
Ironically enough everything else that I usually suffer with went away, does anyone else experience this when they have a flu or cold?
covid dumbass
They are poisoning the water
Only in Britain?
@@abc33944 What would you suggest to counter? Bottled water?
@@2reeceybaby bottled water is pretty expensive so I sorted out a good size 10ltr water filter & I filter rain water. I change the two filters every 8 months at a cost of £45. I do home brew with this system too. In my area there's 50 contaminants in the tap water & it states this info on the water company's web site. Yes the water system is the easiest way too poison the public.
Great video Luke , well done for battling on 👍
I don’t know what the average house sells for in your location, but in California where I’m at, houses are completely unaffordable for the average couple. Good luck on finding your new home.👍
Id be the same on the load being strapped down aswell, as its your licence at the end of the day,
ive been in a similar situation when on the bins, went o a site to pick there bins up, and the security guard hated me and wanted me to collect the bins in a certain way round, til i told him where he can shove it, and wen uttered that i'll be banned from sight, i just laughed and replied thats fine as your bins wont get emptied as im the only one in the are that can empty them as there are no trucks anywhere close to the site, they then soon backed down and said erm ok and when turned up the following week the same security officer just opened the barriers and didn't utter a single word to me
Hah...."Security Officer"....the classic contradiction in terms.
A very good Sunday evening to you all
Keele services 15 miles from my partners place in Crewe. Always glad to reach it. After 220 miles from Dorset.😀
Banned or disciplinary action are the 2 terms most commonly used in this game …
No one gives 2 effs about trucks, until you smash one up ,, then It’s a pantomime
Nice video Luke. Shame about the rejected load. It’s not often that happens. Keep up the good work buddy, enjoying the videos 😊
Hi Luke, hope you're getting paid by the hour? all you have to do to pick up a load
I'm an old-school retired American driver that worked driving by the mile, loads would consist of at least 500- 700 trips, hoping for the long-haul trips across the country hope you feel better, stay safe
A tip when strapping rebar alternate ur ratchets it keeps them tighter and holds the load better
That blokes parking just shows the standard of drivers now.
Over the last 20 years I ve seen this job going downhill every year
Parking. We all bugger it up occasionally but sadly it’s normally in view of other truckers.
I know I'm getting sick when I get a scratchy throat. I always got sick after a plane flight, so I use a N95 mask when I fly.
But for a long-haul driver it is usually caused by unsanitary conditions where you may eat on the road.
Great vlog mate especially the in bed scene when you switched the light on it was so bright it was like you was on a sun bed 😂😂😂
Bless you. Hope you are feeling better.
Great video again luke keep up the good work and good luck with the house mate
Counterbalance driver myself, I'd never tell a driver how to do their job that's ridiculous, I have had to shout at drivers before who tried to run under my forks instead of going all way round or waiting to get back into the cab, I've even refused to tip loads due to the driver kept doing that and jumping onto the trailer whilst loading/tipping
There is nothing else in this world quite like finishing a long shift and getting into a nice car to drive home...........THEN HITTING THE ENGAGE WARP SPEED F**K IT BUTTON!
12:30. its a 26 base of cheps so you could put 3 each side and still have room for hangers
Why are they concerned with how many straps are used?
What are the 2 bottles up on the dash that say Poppy on them ?
Air fresheners
Luke, you are in good company with any number of people who have upset the good folk of Merseyside. You are a very naughty boy!
How many hours are you allowed to drive in a 24 hrs period? Do you have alot of regulations like we do here in the US?
Yes there is. Generally it's driving for 9 hours but you can stretch it to 10 hours drive time twice in one 7 day period.
When it's off the lot, you listen to the truck driver.
haha you should not drive fast.. but getting up to the speed limit as quick as possible. yep most of us like to get out foot down!
Is there no option for truck tomtom on iPhone? Just downloaded the app it only has car option and no place to enter truck information.
great video as always, hope you feel better soon
Thanks for putting me on TH-cam I'm the guy driving the forks unloading yhe mulch
Thanks for unloading me mate 👍🏻
11:36 I'm childish so when he said what he said i laughed as i wasn't expecting that! 😂
I hope your company charged that place that wouldn't load you extra for your wasted time & for having to send another truck there.
So I'm asking the question, is a dedi more comprehensive than the app, or are they the exact same thing (yes I had my weight, height etc dialled in and was absolutely on truck mode)
Edit, for anyone interested it turned me off the A4 up new hill road and onto School hill road and back to the A4. I had a feeling it was wrong. But as it was a new area to me and hadn't steered me wrong before I hesitantly trusted it.
What a shame that the forklift drivers had their feelings hurt. 😂
Ahhhh no way, I was so hoping you got my Hadley blast in Birkenhead in the vlog, one day I'll get you mr cuss haha 🤝🚛
Luke C - what phone mount do you use? I’ve been through at least 5 now and they’re all rubbish!
Every now and then on your clips i hear an audible alarm going off, a series of 3 sharp beeps repeated four or so times, what is it?
Keep up the great content!
"stop and have a chin wag" and then you go and do exactly that !
if there is a accident on the road the police will ask who strapped it down and you say the forklift driver advised you they will say it’s down to you and your responsibility as your the driver. so tell forklift driver to do one nothing to do with him. it’s your license at end of the day.
At 11.50 when say let me get some lube 😮I nearly choked my coffee drink then realised was can of lube 😂😂 haha
Also £3.20 for ibuprofen 8 tablets that’s a rip off but that service stations, for you get well soon
Nice one Luke, thanks👍👍
Exact same load +1 at same port same mesh yesterday,10 straps was plenty
Enjoyed the video chap....Excellent
Well known that most forklift drivers were bullied at school. Gotta feel sorry for them. Keep it safe Luke.
Sudafed is what you need ,Liquid or Tablets, Clears the Nose and Sinus Tracts in 30 + Minutes👍.
Were you Sporting a Shiner in your Right Eye and Bruised Forehead Luke? .
Nice Wheels Luke, drive Safe 👏💯💪
@ mark hardie nice wheels but couldn't park between lines
What two videos in one day the keyboard worriers are going to love with the first few mins lost sound in the last on and then another one again what are people going see? Maybe some outtakes would be nice every so often who knows 😀
Just the one video. This was re uploaded as the audio wasn’t working on the other one
Yes I know I was only joking
Just forced retired after 50 years of HGV Driving refused to work 15 hour days, Best of luck the jobs changed for the worse.
Liked the video first time I've seen one of yours,I know that company that was parked up one of their drivers took my drivers side mirror off my new van,hit and run I got the name off the wagon they did admit liability
Reach trucks like that first load, will be able to reach across the bed to lift off. (I know Ive got one)
Luke you make trucking good. Take care buddy..
Lucky it wasn’t Jay going to that place lol when he told that Forklift driver with the attitude straight when he drove for Maxi which was well deserved after he spoke to Jay like crap.
I've been applying for hgv1 jobs for a month with nothing coming back positive 😒 . Any idea's Luke?

Drivers responsibility ...not the forklift driver .......Driver is the one who straps and secures the load ...he is the one responsible for those straps ...no one else ..
if the straps are faulty ..is it down to the forklift driver to check?.. No!
Once the load has left the site and goes onto the public highway..Driver is the one responsible
Cheshire house? Is that a huge building project?the woman who owns a certain betting company?
Those dash lights, do they not put you off them red glow ones
No mate.
Good luck for the house hope you get one soon. And get home to the wife.
