Charles can and was taking control of magneto’s mind to use his power to reverse the damage. Scott didn’t want that to happen until bastion was neutralized because all the prime sentinels would reactivate and kill mutants again. Magneto got pissed after Charles’ attempt of mind control and Logan did what Logan does (I don’t know if he was going directly for a kill shot or not, knowing the earth still needs saving, he talks a big game in the show but…I assume he could have lined up a stab through the heart or neck for an instant kill if he wanted…or it was portrayed exactly as it was presented, Logan did want to kill magneto right there and then and damn the earth. (Obviously comic logic can create multiple ways of solving something but we were told so far only magneto can reverse what he did).
@@bphater31 No magneto was not crushing Xavier's head. He was crushing the helmet to be stuck and probably apply pressure/hurt Charles but magneto did not plan on actually killing Charles. We know this because magneto used the metal in Xavier's chair to grab hold of him and basically chain him/hold him. If magneto was trying to kill Xavier then he would've just stabbed him. Xavier, up until Logan stabbed him, was still just trying to incapacitate Xavier not kill.

I love the hommage when Cyclops gives Nathan/Cable the suit. "What did you expect? Black leather?" In the first X-Men movie they wear black leather suits and he says to Wolverine "Well, what would you prefer, yellow spandex?" as an hommage to comic books and first animated series.

The plan was to convince Magneto to restore Earth's magnetic field AFTER they stop Bastion but everything was getting messy and Magneto is not holding back anymore. He was even holding back till the end when finally Logan got really pissed off. Magneto could kill Xavier so many time before but he loves him. There are a lot of people who thinks this time he was about to do it or even Charles but Charles was trying to take control of his mind and use his magnetic powers to reverse the magnetic field but Scott saw what happened to Jean and was the only one who understood that was too soon to take control of Magneto because if he did that BEFORE the other team stop Bastion the prime sentinels would doom the humanity and mutants all over the world so he chose the less of two evils. Can't really blame him to what happened to Logan, that was on Logan and Logan only.

If not get the helmet off and force it. Logan got it off. Charles starting doing that. Cyclops stoped him because he doesnt want the other team to die to reactivated prime sentinels. Magneto starts crushing charles head. Logan do what Logan do , and stabby stab. Magneto gets really pissed and rips the metal off his bones. ( Despite everything normally magneto does not want to kill other mutants , so he doesn't resort to this on wolverine in normally circumstances)
In the very first episode when Jean(Madelyn ) uses cerebro on trask and has that messed up vision , that seems to be an attempted early warning by Cable of Genosha
Warbird destroyed the 'robot legs' in episode 6. Bastion isn't crying because his mom was a human sentinel. He's crying because Magneto turned her off (basically put her in a coma). Lovely reaction as always:)

if you ever watch the original, you'll see the future event where they go into the future , you'll see wolverines skeleton like in storage in one of the episodes , so obviously it gets ripped out at some point.. he'll survive hopefully...
Plan was to prevent the EMP damage to the Earth from being permanent. So path a: Talk to him after Bastion defeated. b. Take him out to cancel Magneto's effect. When they got there, Magneto started fighting, so plan B became primary. Plan B started working really well when the helmet was off and Xavier was going to FORCE Magneto to fix things. But as Jean said goodbye to Scott, he found out that team Island was losing, so turning off the EMP early would doom the people on the island. So he interrupted the Professor. Because Scott stopped the over-right, Magneto countered Xavier with the helmet on him, but Wolverine stuck with Plan B, to the point of three points. After having his mind messed with AND stabbed through, Magneto decided to remove all the metal from Wolverine - wounding him REALLY badly in the process. If they stick to the comics, Magneto should be resolved by the end, and maybe Bastion, with a few new threads set up for next season (including Wolverine's acceptance of his new adamantium free body...). Great reaction, even if words are hard! 🙂
You could kinda say that any plan which involves taking a man whose skeleton is coated in metal to fight a literal master of magnetism is probably one which needed a bit more thinking through,
I’m theorizing the collar has to be in close proximity to Bastion and not attached to his neck. Maybe they planned on getting caught so he would snatch the collar. Could be part of the plan.

Send Nightcrawler to bamf and instanty use the device on Bastion instead of Beast. He might have also said: Jean, stay in the air with Storm and shield her as she cleans house and Forge, get on the ground, you freakin' non-flyer. Or he could have said: Dad, you're useless against Magneto, but your optic blasts hurt Sinister more than anyone else and let Jean try to take off Magneto's helmet. So yeah...prob his first attempt. He's just tryin' his best. Oooooo can't wait for the finale! omgosh! See you next week!!

And she is the only one who now suddenly wears a newer costume. Rogues was also a shorter "bomber jacket" i think while Remy wear a long trenchcoat. So for me it looks more as if she give Charles the rest of her old X-Men costume.
I think Trish tilby was turn into a sentinel when she was very young and probably misguided. But as she Grew Older she didn't realize that the thought she had in the past was so wrong. But he's great to fight robots, and better still, sneak around & hunt down Bastion. Nightcrawler gets eyes on Bastion and BAMF! on goes the circlet. The teams were designed to fail, it's the one case of bad writing. and to be fair, they are copying the comics, such as X-men 25 and magneto tearing the adamantium out of Wolverine in a rage after Logan stabs him. It's a misstep, as it's just hard to see Scott, or hell any of them, agree to this division of total failure. Xavier has limitations of philosophy, but he is a genius. So...ow. Looks gorgeous & hella entertaining but a serious flaw I cannot ignore this time

Jean should have gone on the Mags mission as she can defeat Mags easily in combat on her own. Prof should have gone on the Bastion mission as Bastion doesn't have any protection to telepathy like Mags helmet. Ideology is trumping common sense on all sides. Sure is fun to watch though.
Jean wouldn't stand a chance against Magneto with his helmet on, she'd be totally useless and get one shotted. People don't realize how much Magneto holds back his powers against the X-Men because Charles is his best friend. Magneto was also the X-Men's leader so he has a soft spot for them as well.
