Previously on X-men: Magneto was petty much done trying to live on Earth and created Asteroid M, a mutant home orbiting the planet. He went around the globe to key landing sites to take any mutant who wanted to go to their new home. There was opposition of course, especially on Genosha, which at the time, enslaved mutants. World leaders saw Asteroid M as a major threat because Magneto hijacked armed satellites in orbit and armed the asteroid as a deterrent. Unfortunately, some mutant nutjob who was out for blood started a conflict by launching a missile down to Earth, so peace was over. When Magneto confronted him, the mutant Fabian turned on him, drained him of his power and ejected him from the asteroid. He framed the X-men who were on board to talk to Magnus. Eventually security footage brought the truth to light and Fabian attempted to launch all remaining missiles. The magnetic field healed Magneto on his way down to Earth and was able to stop the missiles. Knowing governments would never be at peace with them up there, having their fears justified, Magneto crashed the asteroid into the ocean, after the mutants were evacuated. This is the same asteroid he raised in this episode. This is another reason why what happened on Genosha hit him so hard. It seemed like his 2nd chance.

Ok thoughts: Storm being back makes me full of joy. Prof X Really messed up with the kids, with Magneto and his handling of things Scott giving him the cold shoulder is the least he deserves.. Kinda hate him at this point. He shouldn't even be allowed to say Remys name. I can't believe Rogues still even a little bit loyal to the team other than Kurt. Kinda surprised Nathan hadn't used his powers before when he's a badass combo of jean and scott! Wolverine finally getting torn apart by Magneto was long overdue, glad he had a chance to earn i tlol.
I really hate that Storm never addressed Remy's death, or even said a word to Rogue on the show before "do not turn your back on family". While her hug with Jean was nice to see, this would have been more impactful unless they wanted us to feel that the team had let Rogue down. On the original show, she and Storm were like peas and carrots.
@@vaanfluff the team absolutely let Rogue down. Poor girl needs support and everyone is pretending she didn't go through a genocide and the death of 2 of her loved ones in front of her.

Scott knows what the Phoenix can do to Nathan… that’s why he said his name last.
Why will the school to Magneto? If Xaiver wanted Scott and Jean to start a life of their own then give the school to Storm. She is just as good a leader as Scott.
Both Xavier and Magneto are not listening. If only Xavier just stop for a second to listen and try to put himself in Magneto’s shoes

In the comics, Amelia Voght, one of Magento's Acolytes theorized that neither Charles's dream or Magneto's vision was 100% correct and that the answer was somewhere in the middle of both. Seems like she was right.
Xavier did know about his struggle. Magneto surviving an holocaust then watching another one. Xavier is choosing the wrong words to say to magneto who suffered again and doesn’t want to hear let’s all get along tho. I do agree with you on that.

This episode was nonstop. I kept switching between team Magneto and team Xavier but at the end I was like Magneto went too far even tho Logan asked for it. Awesome episode!!

I think in the moment I was just sad that Nathan was easily taken over by Sinister. That’s what I meant by “so easily manipulated”
