- Join in with the Turnin Rust crew as they attempt to bring some life back into this forgotten 1974 Ford Bronco. After finding it sitting for over 35 years, the guys discover that they not only purchased a cool classic truck, but also the home of several unwanted rodents. After uncovering a rat-infested engine, the team digs in and diagnosis what it will take to hear this abandoned jewel up and running again. Will this neglected Ford run again or has nature taken their final claim on this ol' girl?

i sit here watching your video as my grown mentally ill son yells and screams at his mother inside the house. when i get involved things just escalate so i'm hoping it calms down soon. he didn't used to be this way, a broken back and a lost life has made him isolated and angry. it's hard. i appreciate your videos because it reminds me of when he and i were best friends and would work on our projects together, sharing our lives and enjoying each other. thank you for the video. 👍
hope things get better brother
Try to have a Good Christmas my friend, i know it must be very for you all, regards from the UK.
Keep the faith. I had a very angry step daughter. By the grace of God we found a doctor to get the right meds and now she is a very happy well adjusted human. Prayers from MO
Prays for your son and the family . My sisters son is that way and she was the only one he would even think about lessoning to but she passed away back in the summer and my brother in law has a hard time . music is about the one thing that cools him down .he is 38 so he puts up good fight when he gets ready .that's bad kids have to be like that .all you can do is love love and keep on loving them. ❤
You are not alone dealing with a grown son that lives at home and gets angry with his parents all the time. Our son is 33 and moved back home about 3.5 years ago. He had been an OTR truck driver for several years. Made a lot of good money and had his act together. Two different women in his life absolutely shit on him and screwed his head up. For two years, he lived here with us and didn't work or do much of anything else. But about 8 months ago, he started working at a Valvoline Instant Oil change in town and he has turned completely around. He really likes his job. He doesn't make near as much money as he did on the road but he enjoys being able to come home every night. Things are finally starting to get better. He still has his bouts with depression and anger but they are becoming fewer and farther between. So I wish you the best luck in the world with your son. Like one of the other repliers commented, all you can do is love them and keep loving them. And pray for them. That is what my 89 year old mother has done for a couple of years now and I think it worked.
Man, I would love to see you do something with this old Bronco!! I have always loved the look and stance of them. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
This is shot like a television program, not a YT channel. Weird.
Nice to see you two working together ...we need more family programming like this!!!
Get out the sheet metal and the mig welder, its time to get to work. Hoping to see some fab work on this one. Pretty certain a lot of us are hoping t by e same thing. Will it runs are cool but seeing a got it running now we’re patching her up is even better.
You wasted time and money changing that coil. The old "mustard" coil (named after the color of the top) are famous for reliability. Coils in general are the last thing to fail and seldom ever need to be replaced. I'll never understand why they are one of the first things stolen off a parked vehicle. On a side note, you need to be careful when you change coils because some (oil filled for cooling) must be mounted upright or they can overheat. I work on old Fords every day. That's my job.
Merry Christmas to you, the Turnin' Rust Crew - and to Christian for her stellar video work! I really enjoyed this past year with you guys. Looking forward to next year. Happy New Year to you too!!
How much u asking for the 1974 Ford Bronco?? My wife is a retired 21 year master Sargent air force medic, she would love it, buy n fix up Jason, Wichita, Ks. ❤❤love the show.
That was in pretty ruff shape, even with the rats living in it,disgusting…
Merry Christmas guys & have a great new year from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍 🪃🦘🐪🎅❤🙏.
Glad to see Pops is wearing gloves and a mask. Hanta virus can spread from those live and dead rats.
Hi guys
That coil that was on it was an original yellow top ford coil that was on all fords of that era !
They are a bit of a collector item these days
Merry Christmas from Australia 🇦🇺
I had a 72 Bronco that looked exactly like yours. 302 Motor & standard trans. The floor was rusted and the frame eventually broke but it was lots of fun. Sold it for $1500 cdn and regretted it. These trucks are very desirable and much better than the new ones.
Merry Christmas to you Lance and your family and good bless you ❤
MerryChristmas🎄 Lance,Wyatt and Christian and the rest of family. Great video on the Bronco..
Any more rats.?
Don't see too many of these anymore up here in western Canada, so 'any' possible rebuilds on these Bronco's is worthy of taking on, as there will always be fewer and fewer over the years, making them more valuable. This one certainly has possibilities, albeit some metal work, body work and paint, and it could be a beaming jewel with some time and effort! Thanks for a nice 2023 on the video's guys, and will always be watching for more into the New Year! Best of the season to all your friends and family!
I just picked up a 72 ranger bronco this week that was a one owner all original everything there.... 302 3 speed, doesn't have a panel without rot but hey ya gotta try to save em. Plus I got it pretty cheap.
Easily $100,000 vehicles in my neck of the woods. Great investments.
Love the ol Broncos! I had a '72 with a 302 Boss. That was in high school back in the early 80's. Keep it man...
Thanks for the vids! God Bless
My favourite car. Always wanted one but you'll never find one of these in Australia.
Good evening from Killeen Texas, Merry Christmas restored family !
Awsome video guys, merry christmas😀🇧🇻🎅🎄❄️
I'm really interested in seeing this one come back to life!
Merry Christmas you y'all and y'alls family!
Can't believe that live Rat!
Didn't expect the engine to spin or brake system to work. Have a Merry one.
Just bought a 72 bronco ranger this week with a 302 3 on the tree... one owner all original, she's roughhhh even rougher than yours but I paid $3k for it so could be worse, all the trim is there, original hubcaps, like I said everything is there at least. His dad also took out the 3rd row seat when it was new to haul square bales so it at least has a brand new rear seat that's been in a garage 50ish years.
You guys sure rolled the dice when you pick this up at the auction, but it looks like you won this time!!! Still needs a lot of work but I was surprised at how easy you got it running and it sounds pretty good!!!! Overall good video!!!!
Very interesting 🧐 content, thanks for sharing 😁. Merry Christmas 🎁⛄.
Awesome video as always. Nice to see y’all Lance & Wyatt. Merry Christmas from Jerome & family in California.
Never a dull moment with you gentlemen. Very cool to see it up and running, great job! Merry Christmas!!
God bless. Pray your future go bright. And is seen more by youtube. ) mary Xmas to all your family. God bless. Mick Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️
I’ve really enjoyed all the Videos in 2023 looking forward to 2024. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to your family!!!!!!!🎉🎉
There something about those 304 . My son and I bought a CJ 5 with a 304 had been sitting 3 or 4 years. No rats though. CK the fluids put a little gas down the the carb thing fired right up. no smoke. Lifter noise we put some marvel mistire oil in it fixed it right up. Great video.
aww, what a rustbucket! :o but she runs, drives, and brakes. XD
it could very well be that the foam in the corners made everything rust out like it did. Ford germany started to use foam by around 1970 on some models, others got it at 1975. after that you have many problems with rust, and repairing rust, as you have to remove the foam before you weld anything in, or you might end up with a nest of fire inside a spot you can't reach. other brands did it, too, and the cars all but corroded away preemptively. Mercedes used it on the /8 coupes, in the c-column, and you see some of those where the paint (and occasionally, the putty) chips away there. and then you just know there is trouble ahead.
anyway, hope this Bronco gets restored. :) after all that it deserves it. ^^
Ford in this era seemed to use a seam sealer that either caused it to rot or held moisture that caused it to rout out.
Patch the bad parts and some person with more money than brains will pay a small fortune for that.
Hi from Missouri. amazing how it just start up sometimes after they sit for a while. god bless and love you guys.
Thanks to Derek from vgg I've called it a lone wolf 6000
Excellent video Turnin Rust Crew Wyatt :) , Lance :) , Christina :) , what say would use one Bronco use Rad from use body put on this Orange frame and powertrain too! Also I say make 2 in one be best bet try that and be awesome try ! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2024 Ahead also hope Santa Clause 🎅 brings you to lots goodies!
Thanks for blessing us with another great video!
On those old fords, if the water pump is going bad it leaks.
Merry Christmas to the whole Kraven family. In my opinion, which doesn't mean much, I think you might have let "auction fever" get a hold of you on this one and paid too much for it. I hope you can someday get your money back out of it or just be happy with it and keep it in your family. God bless all of you!
Put some fender flares on it it would cover up where they cut it all up on fenders in the back
Someone clearly already did the work y’all normally have to do on the motor then parked just long enough to let a rat build a condo
Am amazed, for a vehicle that looks so bad but ended up so good. Deserves to live on 😊brilliant video
Merry Christmas to you from Ky.
Loved to watch the old Broncos come back. Wish we had the 74U14. Go nice with our Bronco Sport.
Merry Christmas to you and your family is your sister seeing anyone??
She is married, bud.
Won't find another 302 like that😮..i like it!
The Lord handed you a miracle and a gift with that one!!! That's a perfect builder for the channel. We all miss seeing your creative sides on full builds. Maybe Lord willing this could be one for us all to enjoy together. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Thanks for another great year with you guys!!!!
Oh please
That was a cool getting it running I've got a 1995 Dodge Dakota sport would you be interested in trading
Ford Bronco with a "Rat" engine. 😊
Back in 1977 I was 17 and my Uncle had a 67 Bronco 3 on the tree 289 he use to let myself and best friend take it on weekends and just be typical teen age boys with a 4 by 4 and have fun.
Incredible resurrection! When I first saw the price, I thought ya'll got a heck of a deal....then I saw the floors and that rats nest on the motor and figured maybe it wasn't such a great deal after all. But how incredible is it that the motor fired up and ran like that! Man, an old school set of white, wagon wheels and she would be a great little around town vehicle. Great job, fellas!
I wouldn't mind having that ol white Escort setting behind the Bronco.
That one actually has a factory diesel in it
@@TurninRustThat little Escort must get about 50mpg with the diesel in it 😮😊😊
@@TurninRustWhat're You Asking For This One You're Featuring Now ?
SORRY , I TYPED TO FAST BELOW / NOW I SEE THAT YOU HAVE A CAMERA /
Thank you for sharing Lance
Merry Christmas guys, nice hilarious ending by the way.
Merry Christmas and God bless you
That old Ford is going to take a heap o' body work to get it to looking presentable and safe again. When I first saw it my thoughts were that somebody paid $4000 too much for that rust bucket. It has some possibilities but it's going to take a lot of time and patience.
Those slot mags look real good on there.
I've never saw exhaust routed like that. Directly under a drive shaft.
You should restore this Bronco, its a beauty piece of history, also Merry Christmas to you and your Families..
Guys, you are great but the Ford Bronco is a piece of junk and you paid way too much.
agree 100%
You two have gone from "Ghost Busters" to "Bronc Busters"!!!
Wow, now that was impressive! I'll admit that when I watched the auction I thought you were nuts spending the money for it. The Javelin was in much better shape than the Bronco, and they are super rare and bring six figures when restored. I was hoping for that, but you guys bought this instead. Well obviously you knew what you had, and this old girl runs and drives great. No smoke or anything. Great video and I'm sure you will have no trouble selling it for a tidy profit. Congrats and what a great video!!!
Now your talking my language!!! I am currently working on a 1971 bronco that i started on back in 97 and mine was way way worse ! In. Fact my wife cried real tears as she thought we wasted our money! Hahaha You have a splended starting point! As my bronco was missing every part of value including the oil pan, Rad, exhaust mainifolds intake mainifold Ect ect!!! Good luck guys!
Insane, but impressive. Merry Christmas. pb
loved watching you put air in that left rear Goodyear wrangler tire
Great video, guys. It’s amazing how some of these old cars and trucks can sit for so long and you two can get them fired up! I would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
Nice video Have A very Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year Many Blessings To You And Your Family Much Love And Respect From Portland Indiana
Did anyone else see the DeLorean in the garage? Merry Christmas
I love your ford bronco

Love this saving
Great job!! It would be great to see the progress of the work, new tires and wheels, washing and polishing... it even reaches an ideal point of sale!! Hugs from Brazil!!
Awesome resurrection guys! Great editing as usual👍👍👍
Happy to say Merry Christmas !🎄 ...
I remember those in the 70’s…
They were always junky…
I mean compared to the K5 Blaser.
Or just a CJ….the sludge is settled
In the bottom… Throw a new motor.. a …tubs.. pans…
Omg 😮… well I enjoy watching anyway s… good luck
Had a 72 same motor and three on the tree. What a blast in had with that.
Great video , sweet truck but at the very end of the video, I seen the early 80's escort and I missed everything elso.😮
An oldie but a goodie.
S T U P I D - is the hope "will it start ? " Damage throughout is guaranteed. Respect the hope - DO NOT TURN IT OVER - TEAR IT DOWN.
The exhaust comes that way from the factory, me and my uncle put a awesome dirt car motor in a v8 bronco, it would smoke all 4 tires, that thing was scary fast, we lived in mena arkansas not far from you, i was born in texarkana, my whole family is from around hope, lewisville, stamps, mena and magnolia! Ricky Clark and Craig Hansen, my uncle and dad Stevie Phillips is another uncle, they all have amazing cars!
Another fun video. I love watching your stuff. So, you're into that Bronco for about $4500. How much will you ask for it if I can ask?
Happy holidays guys get er done
Paid 4,200, parts est.200, labor at today's price est. 850 or more. In my opinion you paid about 3800 to much. It's going to cost a lot to restore this. So better get started on a DD speed shop restoration. How many others do you think you paid to much?
ilove that truck❤😊
If I didn't know any better I would swear that Bronco was from up here in northeastern Minnesota. A friend of mine had its identical twin years ago right down to the color, chopped up wheel wells and custom front bumper from when it was used as a portage truck.
Love the old broncos you guys pick the best to revive. Awesome job and great camera gal keep up the good work. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR to your whole family GOD BLESS.
Awesome. Trade you my 92 Cherokee xj. Here in Ohio you don’t come across stuff like you guys do there.
Whatever happened to the days when you could buy old junk for $50-$100 dollars???? 🤯😳
Now that was fun and ran good too 😊👍👍👍😋👍
Man what I'd give to have the time, place and money to restore an old Bronco. I love the old body style.
I may have a helpful project for you and a dear friend if you are interested. It's in Ohio. I know no one wants to come here, but my dear friend had a stroke and has been trying to take care of a older mustang, and hasn't ran for many years, over 20 plus. Thought you might maybe be interested in giving it a chance and maybe make my friends mom happy. She's loved her car for years and I have done my best to keep it dry. But it needs some love. And I thought I would reach out to you all..
Thanks for your videos
Like your guy's show and your efforts, very clever.
I don't understand why you don't leave all the rubbish in vehicles and and under the bonnet why you don't leave all the rubbish where you are taking the car from
Always interesting guys looks like a beater u got its amazing to me that something that been sitting that long u can get it running most people would of gaveup like the determination that u guys HAVE to get it rolling sure would ❤ to see her get bac to her gloryDAYS .😊
Love watching everything yall bring back to life. I will have to ask when are you gonna take car of that Datsun l320 I saw a glimps of?
Nothing can beat this cute look...I would say "so much humpy" Charisma
You can a brand new complete body for that Bronco Starting at 9,500-15,800
Another great watch! Cracking work! 👏👏👏
I remember as a 13 year old kid my parents were buying a new family van, and I was browsing around the show room floor a I remember seeing a Lime green 1973 Ford Bronco, I said where i start working I'll get me one, 7 years later I ended up getting a 78 granada, cause my dad liked it, never got that Bronco I always wanted.
