Hey I drove past your place a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday but nobody was around. I was just out for a Saturday drive seeing if I could discover any old gems hidden away in pastures or back yards. I got very lucky and found an 56 two door Chevy. I'm going back with my trailer Tuesday to pick it up. If I have time I'll swing by your place again.
wow guys that's an amazing rig. I always love watching your videos. I'll call it The 2nd Cumming. Keep up the grate work and keep sharing the love Christ. Blessings
This is a pretty awesome find guys. Who would have ever thought it wouldnt be so bad to get running again. Gods given talent at work here. God bless you guys.
Love your channel and the Chieftain! This car brings back memories. Way back when (1968) my big brother’s first car was a blue ‘52 Chieftain (purchased for $125). It was sweet and he named it “Buhla”. My bro passed away a few yrs back so I was thinking perhaps your Chieftain could be named “Buhla-2” in his honor? Keep up the great work and God Bless! Brian
I've watched you guys bring lots of rusty derelicts back to life but this has to be the best yet and I'd like to see more of it. Can't wait to see the interior redone and the paint wet-sanded and clear-coted. Great job.
There are so many of these "Will It Run" videos on You Tube. I want to see someone fully restore a junked and forgotten vehicle, start to finish. I understand that it isn't easy and for the most part not a great investment time or money wise, but if I only had the skills...
My folks had a '51 Pontiac when I was a kid, so I've kind of got a thing for 49 to 52 Pontiacs. Dad was always fiddling with that ol' car and fixing it up. They traded it in on a new '63 Ford Fairlane station wagon and I never did take to that Ford like I did that ol Pontiac.
good afternoon, you have very high-quality content, thank you very much. I have not been watching you for very long, but I like it very much. Continue in the same spirit with a huge positive from Russia.
Looks like a Great project, can't wait to see more on this one, it would look awesome two tone in cream and cherry red with a set of white walls 👌 have fun with this one 🤙 god bless and stay safe all. Great to see Christian looking well too ❤
Call it the (1952 Pontiac Chieftain Diesel) and fellers this was an AWESOME VIDEO TRULY....Thanks so very much and God Bless y'all and yours thanks again from an Old F-4 Phantom 2 fighter jet pilot Shoe🇺🇸 in my 80's....
Diesel Chief, I would fix the interior up nice. I know you are patina guys but I would love to see it Candy Apple Red with cool exhaust tips on the back. I appreciate your show. Thanks Earl
I bought an 80 Firebird with no trunk key. Took out the back seat. Taped a screwdriver to a stick and popped the trunk open. New lock only costs a few bucks.
Always a pleasure to watch you guys, your kindness, respectable way of dealing with others and of course your skills make it worth watching. stay blessed
Up here in 🇨🇦 we have what we affectionately call the "Cummins Tax" Any first gen 12 valve starts at $6,000 and goes up from there. That car would easily fetch North of $7,000 all day long
I don't know if you're aware but all of your videos have TONES of accidental ASMR triggers. I love it!!! One example in this video would be from 23:19 to 25:15. The head mount camera is perfect for creating those moments. Great content guys!! I watched the Elvis Limo video before this one and I think it's going to be a Sunday filled with Turnin Rust and RESTORED videos. Take care and God Bless your family!
The Pontiac attack yak yak yak .. definitely get a bulb working in the hood ornament for sure . Kinda reminds me of an ole billy Joel song for some reason ..
Excellent video Turnin Rust crew Wyatt :) , Lance :) , Christine :) that first car in that year has first generation Cummings Desiel motor , amazing video on too and so cool to! My nickname be Cummings Desiel Powerfull Power!
Another great video. Impressed by Christian's bravery. That Pontiac is way cool. You may not have figured it yet, but the front fenders are from a '51, maybe one of the parts cars. I like the scripture along the bottom. Another 'hello' from New Zealand.
This is really gorgeous. I know about your passion for patina, but this Art Deco old lady really could deserve a full restoration. I can figure her out in a all-shiny-white painting, with all those silver appliances….I think it would be glamorous like a Greta Garbo on wheels.
Thatt looks exactly like my ol grand dads car... listening to the diesel in it, I might name it the "Pontiac Purr", or the "Power Patrol"... God bless you with this one!
New to your channel. Really enjoying your content. Started with the Elvis car and then this. The Psalm 34:4 quotation sealed the deal. Greetings and blessings from Florida. Numbers 6:24-26.
my parents bought a 49 chieftain in 53. I remember sitting in the back seat without a seatbelt. LOL That chieftain was a styleline 2 door. Wish I had it now.
With the pine needles hanging off the front bumper it looks like a late 50s Beatnik character from a CARS movie with a cool little chin beard! My name for him: Bongo or Kerouac!
This is a cool old car for sure. I would definitely restore the entire interior as best I can, I'd add a bigger turbo, a front mount intercooler, and a really cool exhaust, but I'd only wetsand and clearcoat the existing patina.
Great find BUT SAD that the fellar that bought it passed usually the only ppl that can afford these vehicle are the older established generation with $$ but as they are older or get up in age their health deteriorates and we see many many examples of this with unfinished projects as the owner has since passed sad but exciting for Lance and dad
Precious time spent with dad. You're blessed.😊
That old car was given a name when it was born. It still works today. Chieftain. Keep it at that. A proud name with history behind it.
Agree

Nice job guys
The saviour , because that engine will never let you down ,
"The Chief" is already the proper name in my book, what a cool car, awesome find! Possibilities are endless!
That old Pontoon rates a 10 in my book of cool swaps! Glad she's in your hands, she'll be properly taken care of.

Super Cool Car, Diesel makes it Unique, thinking ""Chief of Cool" or Cool Chief maybe.
27:20 her willing spirit to crawl back there through that tiny opening on top of rusty spider infested things.. is so impressive.
Вона може і не хотіла, але її попросили
wow guys that's an amazing rig. I always love watching your videos. I'll call it The 2nd Cumming. Keep up the grate work and keep sharing the love Christ. Blessings
Oh I luv that car. The history from the 50's era. Beautiful. Time capsule. Priceless piece of history.
This is a pretty awesome find guys. Who would have ever thought it wouldnt be so bad to get running again. Gods given talent at work here. God bless you guys.

Loved this video! As an old school Mercedes diesel fanatic this diesel chieftain holds a special spot. My vote is the Smokin’ Chief

That old Chieftan with a 12 valve seems more like Crazy Horse to me!
Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷 amigos!
Los conocí hace poco, y me encantó lo que hacen. Ya estoy subscripto. Este auto es increíble!
Cool fact about that old chieftain... Factory had it made to when you turn on the parking lamps the chiefs head on the hood lights up
I seen on one of your videos you had a 87 or 88 escort would it be for sale
A really cool old rig. Chief Black Smoke

Love this car,Chief Cummins! Great video!
Great vid guys.
Great car, my first car was a 1957 chieftain, got me thru high school and part of college. I remember how large the steering wheel was.
It’s a pretty cool car.. For some reason i feel “Percy” would be a suitable moniker… It’s a down to earth name with an air of sophistication
I bought an 80 Firebird with no trunk key. Took out the back seat. Taped a screwdriver to a stick and popped the trunk open. New lock only costs a few bucks.

Generally dont like patina, but when it had a wet shine, man did it look kool. This one just needs some linseed oil and nothing else.
Beautiful car 👍 God bless 🙏✌️ thanks for the video!
This is one of those old cars that I look at it and I think "Yes, I would drive that." Awesome car. I look forward to seeing what y'all do with it!
Diesel Chief would be a good name .

Christian is the multi-talented multi-tasking member of the team! Way to go Christian!
What a great combo. That 12V suits the styling of that and the patina is awesome. I'd call it the phantom 12Valve
