If you can’t acknowledge that your fave Kpop group can have bad songs then that’s a major red flag. It’s not a personal attack on the members and their abilities’. The song is fine, very underwhelming but still fun. My problem is with the lyrics, the verses literally make no sense and have no correlation to each other. They just repeat nonsensical “badass” phrases that have nothing to do with pink venom? even the singing parts make no sense. We needed more vocals. I also just can’t help but cringe at the outro like tf is gratata? I get it’s a pre release single and we need to “wait for the album” but why should you need to wait 2 years to get something decent? Other groups are really pushing the envelope and coming out with innovative concepts with good music. And teddy is stuck using middle eastern trap samples from 2012 like give it up!
the mv alone made my head spin, there were so many close ups and everything was so fast.. the ending was empty😭😭 the girls looked amazing tho and the rap saved the song

Honestly, the only part i genuinely liked in this song was the bridge. It sounded great. Jennie's and Lisa's first verses were okay, nothing special. The prechorus was also kinda generic and bland. I'm not sure how I feel about the rap. They had a good flow but their lyricist really needs to stop writing english lyrics. It's just cringy and wannabe hip-hop. The chorus was an abomination. I'm sorry, but i just cannot listen to the chorus for more than 2 seconds. Overall, the song had decent and bad parts but in the end, it is what it is - a very generic blackpink song that's no different from any of their other title tracks.
Blackpink is the most overrated KPop Group of all time. SM girls surely have the best vocal abilities, JYP girls surely have the best choreographies, But if you want to hear many great "Songs", there are tons of better Songs out there from various KPop groups in this world.
Personnally i think pink venom should have been a jenlisa sub unit bcuz most of cheasoo part felt out of place and didn't fit well in the song usually i love the vocal part of bp song especially rosé but this time it was not it and i also love the yg party chorus at the end of their song but that ratata part felt so empty and it had no proper build up (bcuz the bridge was bad) and the mv itself was definitly not their best like yg claim it had so many different cuts and shots it was hard to watch. The only redeeming quality was jenlisa's rap overall it wasn't worth 2 years of waiting but still anticipating the full album (it better be a full one)

My first thought when I heard this song was that I was gonna be super pissed if everyone else acted like it was amazing just because this comeback has been such a long time coming. I’m relieved to see that there are so many people being honest. Obviously there are still a lot of people who think BP can do no wrong, and others who are only going to comment on the parts they liked and pretend the rest doesn’t exist, but it’s nice to see that a lot of people are willing to admit that this wasn’t their best work.. by any stretch of the imagination.

And the choreo has nothing to do with venom or pink- Also The Beginning, we love Jennie but they misused her talent. Same for everyone. I thought they had gone broke and became one of those cheap companies that put no effort into the MVs they make my having one set for the whole thing and just them dancing. On my end, I definitely felt like it was “oh, another BLACKPINK song“ when I listened to the premiere - despite being stunned by the video itself. Having listened to it A few more times, I’m definitely on board with it, but I am completely on the same page as far as the middle eastern-vibe beat goes. On one hand, it feels like their label is playing safe and leaning into what the fans liked initially, but with the backlash it really is a statement as to how much fans are ready for an EVOLUTION of their sound. Like, The Album itself had a number of songs they didn’t have the aforementioned Teddy/KSHMR Sample vibe to it. It’s just a little bizarre to see how music works in Korea, as opposed to America, but also how shockingly similar they are. It’s like the industry overseas takes it up to 11 when it comes to “oh, fans like this; let’s try and re-create that” as opposed to “let’s follow industry trends (like with how hip hop is blowing up in the states rn), let’s explore new sounds, let’s try and be brave because they are so influential“. We need BLACKPINK to be brave. I know, at the end of the day, it’s not these four young womens’ choices. They are literally figures, singing songs that are written for them, a la the pussycat dolls, a la Britney Spears, but they deserve artistic integrity.

I didn't lhave my wig snached on my first listen of the song, I also didn't find it to be garbage, terrible or ear bjeeding. Instead of using .mean, horrible words to descrtbe your dislike for the song you could have just said that it wasn't your type of music. I happen to love EDM music. But in your opinion it's 'trash'. Ever heard the phrase that one man's trash is another man's treasure? I'm not dragging you or your opinion on Pink Venom, I just think that tact and civility go a lot further than meanness and being unkind. FYI: Jisoo learned to play the Geomungo which is a traditional Korean instrument. I don't think that had anything to do with Teddy and his production skill.

This was NOT it Also was I the only person who was getting make a wish vibes from the way the beat was. (What I mean is in Make a wish by NCT U they had this whistle throughout the whole song and it reminds me of the main beat in pink venom)

I wish they would have stuck to the pink concept, I really liked jisoos verse in the beginning + her singing. I was so confused, at first it was more traditional with jisoo in the cage, then suddenly they look like they play in dune and then rose looks like she's a character in doom 😐 The lyrics often don't make any sense at all and are really sloppy. I don't think it is necessary to have a rap part in every single song, it seems really out of place her and dont have me for this but i think all of the girls are better singers than rappers. they aren't jessi or yezi, and having them rap on every song isn't necessary at all :(

That is not the case, he still have to answer to the higher ups in YG when making a song for Black Pink. Personnally i think pink venom should have been a jenlisa sub unit bcuz most of cheasoo part felt out of place and didn't fit well in the song usually i love the vocal part of bp song especially rosé but this time it was not it and i also love the yg party chorus at the end of their song but that ratata part felt so empty and it had no proper build up (bcuz the bridge was bad) and the mv itself was definitly not their best like yg claim it had so many different cuts and shots it was hard to watch. The only redeeming quality was jenlisa's rap overall it wasn't worth 2 years of waiting but still anticipating the full album (it better be a full one)

My first thought when I heard this song was that I was gonna be super pissed if everyone else acted like it was amazing just because this comeback has been such a long time coming. I’m relieved to see that there are so many people being honest. Obviously there are still a lot of people who think BP can do no wrong, and others who are only going to comment on the parts they liked and pretend the rest doesn’t exist, but it’s nice to see that a lot of people are willing to admit that this wasn’t their best work.. by any stretch of the imagination.
In my opinion the song wasn't dissappionting. I think bp's new song is coming to a new start - a different one. I think the producer doesn't want the song to be the same as the previous comebacks, yes there are still similiraties but as I listen to Pink Venom its like a new era that seems differrent and new to the listeners 🙂 hehe

I love blackpink in general, but I just dont think this should have been hyped up as much as it was. In my opinion for the most expensive I'd give it to Kill this love, or ddu-ddu not pink venom. And the choreo has nothing to do with venom or pink- Also The Beginning, we love Jennie but they misused her talent. Same for everyone. I thought they had gone broke and became one of those cheap companies that put no effort into the MVs they make my having one set for the whole thing and just them dancing. No offense but PINK Venom was not worth 2 years or waiting for.

On my end, I definitely felt like it was “oh, another BLACKPINK song“ when I listened to the premiere - despite being stunned by the video itself. Having listened to it A few more times, I’m definitely on board with it, but I am completely on the same page as far as the middle eastern-vibe beat goes. On one hand, it feels like their label is playing safe and leaning into what the fans liked initially, but with the backlash it really is a statement as to how much fans are ready for an EVOLUTION of their sound. Like, The Album itself had a number of songs they didn’t have the aforementioned Teddy/KSHMR Sample vibe to it. It’s just a little bizarre to see how music works in Korea, as opposed to America, but also how shockingly similar they are. It’s like the industry overseas takes it up to 11 when it comes to “oh, fans like this; let’s try and re-create that” as opposed to “let’s follow industry trends (like with how hip hop is blowing up in the states rn), let’s explore new sounds, let’s try and be brave because they are so influential“. We need BLACKPINK to be brave. I know, at the end of the day, it’s not these four young womens’ choices. They are literally figures, singing songs that are written for them, a la the pussycat dolls, a la Britney Spears, but they deserve artistic integrity.

I'm happy that they prefer to stay positive and brush all the negativity and negative people away like dust or an annoying fly. I didn't lhave my wig snached on my first listen of the song, I also didn't find it to be garbage, terrible or ear bjeeding. Instead of using .mean, horrible words to descrtbe your dislike for the song you could have just said that it wasn't your type of music. I happen to love EDM music. But in your opinion it's 'trash'. there are some parts of the song / music video / outfit etc. I really like, but put together, it doesn't seem to fit at all? I wish they would have stuck to the pink concept, I really liked jisoos verse in the beginning + her singing. I was so confused, at first it was more traditional with jisoo in the cage, then suddenly they look like they play in dune and then rose looks like she's a character in doom 😐 The lyrics often don't make any sense at all and are really sloppy. I don't think it is necessary to have a rap part in every single song, it seems really out of place her and dont have me for this but i think all of the girls are better singers than rappers. they aren't jessi or yezi, and having them rap on every song isn't necessary at all :(
Tbh I've never really enjoyed any black pink song and I've tried a lot on relistening with all of em, it just doesn't cut it for me, until ready for love came out, lol, honestly that felt like good music instead of their usual stuff, it just felt different to me, and I loved it regardless if it was just a pubg thing or whatever, so I raised my expectations for this new song, and I shouldn't have haha, cause I 100% agree, it wasn't great, the rap line honestly did save it for me I liked that, and rose, other than that, it was just all over the place again, for me🤷♂️

This song is a bit underwhelming but I think we shouldn't be disappointed bcuz it was just a pre release single before their album comes so we have a lot of songs and bops to look forward. But man, honestly, I do enjoy this song but it could have been more better. The areas it could have been better-
1] Jisoo having more lines and those lines being a bit swagy, keeping up with the vibe of the song.
2] the chorus part being impactful.[The MOST important thing] Like seriously, the song was like rock and hip hop and then suddenly it turns into a cutesy vibe during the chorus. And if they wanted to be of that vibe they should have made the whole song in that cute vibe.
3] As ALWAYS, the lyrics [the chorus especially] being more meaningful. And this could only be done when the yg lets the girls write their songs themselves.

That is not the case, he still have to answer to the higher ups in YG when making a song for Black Pink. If people actually stop and listen to the songs that Teddy comes up with in the Black Label compared to YG entertainment, you can tell Teddy does not have Creative freedom when it comes to Black Pink's music.
